I've been to many other recovery centers and this one is by far the best one I've been to. The therapy and counseling is on point, no bs and no beating around the bush. Every time I went to group, the sessions got very deep, and that is exactly what a person with any addiction needs. Not only that, the staff treat you very kindly and are always open to support you. Also, the food is AMAZING. They have a chef that prepares 3 REAL meals a day and is always a different meal (who wouldn't want that?!). There are many things to do for closure too, like games and movie nights. If you are worried about detox, the nurses will fix you right up. G P 1 year ago I was a patient here and was treated fairly good, there really isn’t much communication with the psychiatrist to the therapist to you about discharge dates, or more information about your treatment plan but the therapist make up for it. I was blessed to have Mr. Z and Ms. Samurah as my therapists and can not emphasize enough!! To give them full credit of my mental health improvement. With them I have truly progressed so much and got the right therapy for me. Being able to talk to them and getting the right support from them has made me able to be more adaptable, find the right coping mechanisms for me, and accept my struggle and truly learn from this and grow as a person. Thank you to them! There are no complaints in that department. I hope they see this and continue to help other people and empower them just like they did for me. Thank you thank you thank you. Although one complaint is the lack of communication given to you about your schooling. I got super behind and just wish that my assignments could have been either 1. Sent directly to me or 2. Once I returned to school, given extra time to complete everything that I missed out on. Have to be mentally strong to endure it though. Its alot of work but spiritually and physically i grew closer to the lord then i ever have been. After a lengthy hospital stay, my pastor referred me to StraightWay. Even though I had lost all hope of ever being anything but a junkie, I got what I desperately needed most: a second chance - and people who were willing to invest their time, and even their very lives to show me what it means to follow Jesus Christ and to live my life for Him. To date, I am going on 30 years of being not only drug free, but being a happy and productive member of the community where I live. My husband and I have three beautiful children and have been married for 22 years this year. My relationship to my adult children and my family has been restored, something I had once thought impossible. I'm so grateful that StraightWay was here when I was in need. I cannot imagine where I would be today if not for this place. I have been a nurse 34 years, and I have never worked for, been to this hospital, or told them I was a nurse. My husband went to the ER, got admitted, and had a procedure. We had the BEST care here. The hospital was very clean, ALL the staff was very very attentive, knowledgeable, and so kind. Everything was explained to him in a timely manner. I am a changed, renewed, and hopeful person because of the care The Orchard showed me during my 30-day stay. From the beautiful people who maintain the breathtaking 132 acres, to the very top of the medical/ clinical team — and of course Dan — every single person is beyond exceptional. I truly believe the “secret sauce” everyone talks about at The Orchard is community. It begins with the people who dedicate their lives not only to their own sobriety, but to ours as residents as well. I cannot express enough gratitude to everyone who welcomed me into their care with open arms — with no judgment, no preconceived notions, and every willingness to give me the help, the space, and the love I needed to heal from trauma that resulted in addiction. If you are looking for a place to become renewed and begin your recovery journey, I would wholeheartedly encourage you to take a hard look at The Orchard. Set along the Brazos River, the land itself feels special. When the Indigenous people named this river , they could not have known it would one day feel like “the arms of love” to so many. I LOVE this place. I've been to many other recovery centers and this one is by far the best one I've been to. The therapy and counseling is on point, no bs and no beating around the bush. Every time I went to group, the sessions got very deep, and that is exactly what a person with any addiction needs. Not only that, the staff treat you very kindly and are always open to support you. Also, the food is AMAZING. They have a chef that prepares 3 REAL meals a day and is always a different meal (who wouldn't want that?!). There are many things to do for closure too, like games and movie nights. If you are worried about detox, the nurses will fix you right up. This place has been very helpful and fun too, so I really do recommend Taylor Recovery if you are looking for just the right place.

I can’t say enough great things about this facility and the entire staff. From day one, everyone made me feel welcomed, supported, and truly cared for. I was especially lucky to find a treatment center that accepts pets — if they hadn’t, I honestly wouldn’t have been able to come to treatment. That meant everything to me. I was a patient here and was treated fairly good, there really isn’t much communication with the psychiatrist to the therapist to you about discharge dates, or more information about your treatment plan but the therapist make up for it. I was blessed to have Mr. Z and Ms. Samurah as my therapists and can not emphasize enough!! To give them full credit of my mental health improvement. With them I have truly progressed so much and got the right therapy for me. Being able to talk to them and getting the right support from them has made me able to be more adaptable, find the right coping mechanisms for me, and accept my struggle and truly learn from this and grow as a person. Thank you to them! There are no complaints in that department. I hope they see this and continue to help other people and empower them just like they did for me. Thank you thank you thank you. Although one complaint is the lack of communication given to you about your schooling. I got super behind and just wish that my assignments could have been either 1. Sent directly to me or 2. Once I returned to school, given extra time to complete everything that I missed out on. I really had to vouch for myself when I got back to school to be given time to turn in everything without late points. In general not too bad of a place coming from a patient that had my stay.

I came to StraightWay in 1988. I had ruined my life and nearly died because of addiction. After a lengthy hospital stay, my pastor referred me to StraightWay. Even though I had lost all hope of ever being anything but a junkie, I got what I desperately needed most: a second chance - and people who were willing to invest their time, and even their very lives to show me what it means to follow Jesus Christ and to live my life for Him. To date, I am going on 30 years of being not only drug free, but being a happy and productive member of the community where I live. My husband and I have three beautiful children and have been married for 22 years this year. My relationship to my adult children and my family has been restored, something I had once thought impossible. I'm so grateful that StraightWay was here when I was in need. I cannot imagine where I would be today if not for this place.

Natalie along with all the therapists and providers as well as the technicians working day in and day out to make sure that I had the best experience possible in my journey to seeking sobriety. Sobriety is the key at Banyan. One person who I hold in high regards is Katherine. Katherine made such an impact on me . Her knowledge in Smart Recovery program as well as being an ideal mentor. I absolutely love my time at banyan Texas. The treatment was great and participation was always easy. The therapist here listen and the aftercare coordinators were on top of it from the very beginning. All the stuff was exceptionally nice. The scenery is gorgeous I love being here and I hate leaving but my journey continues. If this saves just one person I'll be okay so if you're serious about getting your life back together and recovery is in your future batting is a great place to come.

Since my beginning here at Banyan Texas my treatment experiences were highly focused. I earned more than I had ever expected. This was my first (and most likely my last) rehabilitation program and it went smoothly. Thanks to the case managers Cassi and Carolyn for their support and love for me and my personal development. Forever grateful and thankful for their service. Thanks to Angela, my therapist here at Banyan Texas, for taking me through this process/journey. Dr Brown is amazing but the person that took my vitals was great to. She had a smile on her face and showed her care for me but so did Dr. Brown. I have gotten more from my 2 visits with her than I had with my previous Psychiatrist. Even when I checked in and checked out your staff was great. Tell Dr Brown for me thank you greatly for helping me out today. I needed it and look forward to my next appointment. I am not much of a writer hence my my words and punctuation in this review.
