This VA clinic has been incredible for me. Every employee and physician are informative and incredibly nice. They are also thorough and communicate well. In the parking lot they were giving food to people in need as well as medicine to help with addiction. I am very impressed!

At the beginning of 2019 i could have never imagined how the year would end. Our daughter had been struggling with addiction since college. Her therapist recommended BARC and when she came out of the recovery center, she was not even close to the person she went in as. She embraced the program and did the work to better herself and her life. Fast forward to 2026, she is still sober and is living a full life now with a supportive husband and two beautiful daughters. She still puts in the work to stay sober but learned how to do this through BARC.

This place saved my life. The staff is amazing, the treatment is very in-depth. They don’t just hand you a book and let it ride. They teach you all about the book and really work with you to get that stuff inside of you that’s killing you out!!! I am forever grateful to house 4 and the staff that helped me heal! I would recommend this place to anyone struggling w addiction, as a matter of fact I already have several times.

Into Action has the best rehab experience I’ve had yet. They scared the shit out of me and I think maybe that’s exactly what I needed. I couldn’t say enough great things about BARC. House 3 is where my entire life changed and changed for the better. I learned so much about myself, alcoholism / addiction and exactly how it affected me. When you understand “The Stickman” then it all starts making sense. The staff at BARC is amazing. They don’t just talk about alcoholism / addiction that they’ve learned from a book. Everyone there has been there before and knows first hand what they are talking about and teaching. There is not a place on earth I could recommend more highly than BARC for recovery. BARC was where my rebirth happened and if you’re looking for a place to make that change it can be the place of your rebirth as well. 12/16/2025 is my sobriety birthday If you’re rally lucky, when you’re there one of your brothers in the house will know how and like to cook like me. lol 😂

This is my favorite place on earth!! It's where I showed up with nothing and completely hopeless, to being over 2 years free from alcohol and drugs. I truly believe the magic happens when people who are hopeless and have given up, come to a place like BARC, and start working together and share each other's experiences!! Everyone can relate and understands when you feel like like nobody could possibly understand how you feel, or what your dealing with!! We do!! Forever grateful for Bay Area Recovery Center. I lived here back in 2003-2004. The place itself is huge and provided us with lots to do throughout the year. They also took us on a variety of off campus field trips that were always a blast! To this day, I have maintained friendships with people including staff/teachers that I will forever cherish. Likewise, for it being such a rough time in my life, my experiences here, (for the most part) helped get me through it.

This is the best place for IOP. And I've been to quite a few. Not proud but it's the truth. Every counselor there is AMAZING. If one feels alone and isolated, they won't here. It is also ran by an amazing and caring individual Agatha. I don't like being in group settings but there is something special about this place. They CARE!

This was the best decision I could have made for my mental wellness. Everyone has life issues and experiences. Sometimes you don’t know you need professional help until you’re in the middle of it. Well I was. I am blessed to have a support system who was on board for my self care. I researched various IOPs/PHPs that my psychiatrist suggested. The Heights Treatment sounded like the best fit for me. Based on reviews and researching the area, solidified my choice to start treatment there. So I did. From the intake for IOP5, to individual therapy sessions, to group sessions including equine therapy, to individual sessions with Dr. R, was well thought out to get this group of professionals to help people. The one who held it together with scheduling to communicating to even listening for a couple of minutes in passing, was truly a blessing. Their client care services, Adam, is kind and professional. They all make you feel welcome. Bre - my therapist, help tremendously. Various group sessions, helped me realize so much. They gave me the tools to help me reach my goals. They helped me choose to do the work. Be it daily checking in, verbalizing my emotion at the time, concerns, etc, these are the things for me, that were so beneficial in my mental wellness. Heights Treatment was a Godsend and it saved my life. I love how unique each therapist is. They have a wide variety of therapies including equine therapy, emdr, trauma processing, as well as individual and group therapy. My dad has struggled with drug addiction for 25+ years. He recently had a massive heart attack due to drug use and his situation was becoming dire. We knew if he didn't get help he wasn't going to make it much longer. He finally agreed to get treatment and my sister found this place. He went from not wanting to go to rehab to not wanting to leave this place. He absolutely loved it and loves everyone there. He considers them family. He completed his treatment and the staff is still there to offer him support and help him succeed. Andy has been amazing at helping him find out patient programs. They truly care here. They deserve more than 5 stars.
