After seeing other physical therapists with no progress, I was skeptical of trying GTC, but I am so glad I did! They had a customized approach to addressing my issue, and for the first time in almost a year, I am able to live an active lifestyle pain free! I cannot recommend GTC enough!

Doctor Bhargava said she wouldn't treat me any different than she would her own family members. I felt she kept that promise. Overall I felt that I have a good visit. One star missing for having to fill out paperwork online and then having to answer the same questions during my visit which reduces time needed for a more thorough diagnosis. However, it was a first visit and I was satisfied overall. Thank you!

To be completely honest, I thought I would absolutely loathe these online sessions. And while I did at first considering I was forced to go through with it, I'm glad I did; and I would do ANYTHING for my girls. Matt and Sydney taught me things about myself I didn't know in my [at that time] 32 years of life. Matt was great and reminded me of Seth Rogen. He was very funny and straightforward and I like that. Also, he was a great teacher and has a good way of getting you to understand things. Sydney was the best counselor I could have asked for, and I appreciate EVERYTHING she did for me. She was more than just a counselor to me and even went out of her way to help my girls and I. I am forever grateful for her, Matt, and this program. Medical City McKinney Behavioral Health is a hospital based mental health program in McKinney, Texas that serves adults and seniors with conditions ranging from depression and bipolar disorder to schizophrenia and trauma. It offers inpatient stabilization, partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient, counseling and medication management. Its e
Reason for care: severe complex PTSD and MDD with psychotic symptoms. Paranoia and Cotard's Delusion. I liked the people here alot. Came in with deep delusions and paranoia. Shakin like chihuahua, noncompliant, hid from everyone, jumpy, the works. Was a damn mess. Yet they treated me with deep care the whole time. I balanced out on meds and felt human and put together again. They took attempts seriously but werent dicks about it. Had good safety tactics and deescalation methods. And even high needs mentally disabled were handled with respect and care I rarely saw when I worked on the other side of things as a tech in teen inpatient long term care and for mentally disabled people as well. They respected and accommodated my disabilities and mobility aids. And even advocated for me multiple times. The nurses, techs and the hijabi nurse practioner(Im sorry maam I was too deluded at the time to recall your name in our interactions.) Mister Jason and Mister Lee were outstanding nurses. And techs like the recreational tech, Miss Hollie, and the older black male tech especially who I adored the most of the staff. The latter truly went above and beyond in every aspect of his job. Again I was too out of it at first to recall his name. But even when I was extremely agitated and paranoid and didnt eat or sleep out of deluded beliefs for the first 26hr he always spoke to me gently, never took it personally, offered, was delightfully funny, truly seemed to have real compassion and love for the people he cared for. Truly made me second my own deep paranoia even in the worst of it because of how authentically nonjudgemental and empathetic he was. I wish I knew your name sir. You deserve all the appreciation in the world just like Mister Jason as well(sorry Mister Lee he beat you by a small margin.) I have a rough history with Christianity personally. And am now jewish. Yet the chaplain Mr. Randy's group therapy was fantastic. And to an equal degree was the veteran and group therapist Miss Tillie. Their groups never failed to meet people where they were. Were realistic in goals for each person. Answered any and all questions. And people early in their recovery or much further along and experienced like myself all found useful, insightful and life changing information at each. It never felt obligatory to me to go out for group once I wasnt paranoid. My only issue with this place? One of the social workers(again I was out of it and forgot her name) was extremely professional, nuanced and delightful. She intake interviewed me despite my actual one being Miss Bridget. And met with me a few times and was extremely great. Her counterpart Miss Bridget was awful. She only met with me when with nurse and only then to chime in vaguely. I was there a week. She was supposed to be meeting with me and gameplanning my care. She didnt. I tried to request for insight multiple times and she actively ignored the nurses and techs who asked for me and seemed just as confused at her negligence. She only met with me minutes before I left. And when I asked more specific questions she was a bit taken aback even though they were normal? Like am I to go into PHP/IOP or other care after this or return to normal care? She answered vaguely and with the undercurrent of someone who thought the whole thing was a waste of her time. Truly just not a good social worker in the slightest. Shed be polite and smile. Ill give her that. But when it comes to accessibility and reliability she is terrible. The hijabi nurse was a fantastic one. Nuanced, will take you seriously, careful, considerate but also realistic. And when she found out about my delusional-based SI she explained what had to happen. That it wasnt punishment. Just to protect me from myself. And i understood. The other nurse? Atrocious. She was a well dressed black female. She was capable, accessible and consistent. But her care truly uncaring. She will look at you deadpan and ask the basic 4 questions. Thats it. Terrible. Speaking of terrible Miss Kinetta(?) aka Miss K? Rude, disrespectful to all, jaded

Sophia , a social worker at Medical City Behavioral Health in McKinney has been an absolute blessing to our family. Her knowledge and clinical expertise has been evident in every interaction, and she approaches her work with professionalism and genuine compassion. She took the time to listen carefully, explain their process clearly, and ensure that our relative felt seen, heard, and supported. During a very sensitive and emotional time, Sophia provided steady guidance and reassurance that made a meaningful difference. The level of care she demonstrates goes beyond my expectation. In my opinion, she truly cares about the well-being of those she serves. Her authenticity is unmatched and her reward for recognition or a salary increase in order. We are incredibly grateful for her dedication and highly recommend her and Medical City Behavioral Health Hospital-McKinney to anyone seeking compassionate, professional behavioral health care.

I use to go to denton clinic last year and even years ago and I was honestly struggling very hard to keep up with payments and Im not here to bash... I blame myself for not communicating better. At the time I was forced to leave my denton home and stay with family in the colony and had to drive every day Mon thru Fri to denton. I finally tried looking for some place closer and thank the Lord He led me here. I called and they asked about insurance which I gave all my info about. I seriously had doubts that it would be of any help. Years ago methadone wasnt covered easily by insurance... But they made my day when they told me yep they take my insurance which is through marketplace. AND I would not have to pay anything out of pocket!! I was singing and dancing. Been here ever since. Even when I messed up and missed open enrollment, they still worked with me without insurance... i was so worried but everyone reassured me that they would find a way to help me here and they did. Everyone is SO NICE also. Love it here.

Our son attended Lighthouse for 9 months. We were impressed with the level of communication with family, the genuine caring of staff and the comprehensive support all around. Aftercare support has also been exemplary. I am so grateful for all of his treatment team- Sam, Michael Fowler, Frankie G, Brooke, and all of the others who made it happen. I could go on for days, but the changes have been so positive and we finally have hope that our son is on a better path. The difference here is the amount of caring all around. 🤗🤗🤗

I have only positive thoughts about Chapter House. My son has been there the last 10 months until his recent transfer. Last year was the most difficult time for him (and us). Doug and Marty were fantastic. They get to know their clients and are really dialed into each of their challenges. My son has been in many treatment facilities the last 6 years and I can tell you he made the most progress at Chapter House, he is the most stable that he has been in years. Chapter House is more than a Sober Living facility, they have much more safeguards and work more closely with the clients, more so than other facilities he has been to. I plan to stay in contact with Doug (Director Oper.) who really developed a great relationship with my son (and myself), he has a great heart and is so committed to his people.

Staff care and work hard to help. Groups are focused on individuals needs as well as the whole group. They encouraged us to learn and grow from each other's successes and even failures. When I struggled they accommodated me and helped me with the extra help I needed. They also find services for additional help or higher level of care if needed. Side note: I noticed a lot of the negative reviews were for inpatient and children's services this location in Plano doesn't even offer at this time or never offered. Dr Robert Connaughton, is the best surgeon ever!! My husband drove himself to Tx Health Presby July 25th, to the ER and Dr Connaughton got called in for him. Matt thought he just had a torn muscle, could get treated and go home. As soon as they saw him they knew it wasn't a torn muscle. All the doctors knew he was really sick and started ordering tests. They ordered a scan and saw so much that was wrong in his bowel that they called in Dr Connaughton. Matt got admitted right away, with what they all saw he was very sick. Dr Connaughton told Matt, get ready for this list: he ruptured his appendix, perforated his colon and had an abscess the size of a grapefruit. Matt had no idea it was anything like that. He was hospitalized for 5 days while they shot a ton of antibiotics in him, put a drain line in, as well. The abscess had a full liter of stuff. Everything they did for those 5 days was to prepare him for down the road, because the abscess was so large they couldn't operate then. While at home he was on a PICC line with 1000mg erthanem(forgive for spelling). Two and a half weeks into the process he got an infection from the PICC line, which they took out in a other ER visit, which was noticed by the home healthcare nurse. He immediately went to 1500mg of antibiotics to get ready for surgery that was happening in 4 days. August 25th, Dr Connaughton and his team went in with, what we lovingly call (the octopus), robotic tech. They took the octopus and got busy with cleaning out everything that had been destroyed by the antibiotics. Then they got busy cutting and slicing out the ruptured appendix, and dispensed 100 staples to the end of his perforated colon. All in an hour. In for 24 hours then home. Matt was Very sore for the first few days of course, however he was sent home with more meds that kept him comfortable. Dr Connaughton we believe was sent from the Lord to us. We laughed with him and his wife Sally and he is so knowledgeable. He truly cares about his patients and has that lovely attitude with everyone. Matt I'm sure would have gotten all of this done with someone else, but Dr Cs professionalism and skill put us at ease, and neither one of us worried too much about if it could all get done. Thanks Dr C.

I couldn’t recommend Origins more, I first attended their IOP program, then their residential program in south padre and lastly their Dallas sober living. I’m writing this today a year and a half sober and going strong. Origins has literally saved my life in more ways than one.

Origins Counseling was exactly what I needed. The staff (Andy, Joellen, Shay, James, everyone) were incredibly knowledgeable, compassionate, and helpful. They come with years of experience and consider each individual they're helping. If you're looking for a facility that will truly care as much as you/your parents do, or are desperate for a miracle — I can't recommend Origins more! ❤️

I went here on a Monday to take a friend of mine to her appointment, and it was extremely busy. The wait was definitely very long, but I will say the receptionists were very nice, sweet, and professional. Anytime we asked about the wait, they were willing to give us an update, which I appreciated. I also want to give a special shoutout to the Black woman with the braids working at the front. I witnessed a client give her the worst attitude simply because she explained that the next available appointments were pretty far out. The way that woman was treating her was completely unnecessary. I really commend the women working up there because they are doing their jobs and dealing with a lot of people throughout the day. Some clients can have the nastiest attitudes toward staff who are simply trying to do their jobs and help them. The wait may have been long, but I definitely think the staff deserves recognition for remaining patient, professional, and respectful despite how some customers treated them.

I was admitted to the Psych Ward (hopefully this is the right place to put the review) a little over a year ago because I was withdrawing from a drug (I'll be coy about which one it was, but those in the know can probably guess and whittle it down to one or two classes of drug) I no longer wanted to take that can cause death if the withdrawal is not handled medically. The staff at the psych ward for medical city Frisco are probably why I'm alive with a healthy body (I've lost a lot of weight since as well, another good side effect of quiting the drug was that I no longer would gain weight because of it) and doing well today and have not had to take said drug again to manage my condition. I feel morally obligated to thank the mental health and psychiatry people at Medical City Frisco for how well they handled my emergency. Also, the facilities at this hospital (not just the Psych Ward, I took a little stroll through the whole place as I was leaving) are truly next level. This is BY FAR the nicest looking architecturally and probably most advanced technological hospital I've ever visited (for myself or as a visitor for family). If you need truly top tier care, you can't go wrong with the Medical City hospital chain in my opinion, and especially their new Frisco branch, which is even more impressive than the one in Plano. Individual care and whatnot is of course going to depend on things like which doctor you get...but the facilities are truly really cool here and that IS something to take into account if you have an emergency. I imagine every good doctor in the DFW area wants to work here, and so the quality of care may be correlated to the facility quality, which is top notch. Hopefully others receive the same quality of care I received. If you are having a psychotic episode or other severe mental health issue that requires hospitalization, then please consider a Medical City hospital and especially their Frisco branch if you have the ability to choose the location of your stay. Also, the food while I was staying was really good. Just a little thing I know, but it goes to show they don't skimp anywhere in their treatment.

The nurses, therapists, and technicians are great here. I spoke with a doctor one time during my loved one’s stay. They definitely push to medicate, so if you are not comfortable just voice your concerns and request a more thorough diagnosis. I was able to contact my loved one and they were able to call me anytime. I was able to see my loved one 3x a week but I had to sign up via signup genius in order to do so. Definitely read their policies thoroughly. We unfortunately came through intake around 3 am and I was very tired and missed a few rules. It makes visits and dropping off clothes easier if you read. While I recommend this hospital, one piece of advice is for aftercare. Definitely do your research on PHP and IOP programs because they are not all as good as this hospital.
