After seeing other physical therapists with no progress, I was skeptical of trying GTC, but I am so glad I did! They had a customized approach to addressing my issue, and for the first time in almost a year, I am able to live an active lifestyle pain free! I cannot recommend GTC enough!

This center provides treatment through an intensive outpatient program and medication-assisted treatment. Services include treatment for co-occurring conditions. The center also provides LGBTQ+ therapy services.
Doctor Bhargava said she wouldn't treat me any different than she would her own family members. I felt she kept that promise. Overall I felt that I have a good visit. One star missing for having to fill out paperwork online and then having to answer the same questions during my visit which reduces time needed for a more thorough diagnosis. However, it was a first visit and I was satisfied overall. Thank you!

To be completely honest, I thought I would absolutely loathe these online sessions. And while I did at first considering I was forced to go through with it, I'm glad I did; and I would do ANYTHING for my girls. Matt and Sydney taught me things about myself I didn't know in my [at that time] 32 years of life. Matt was great and reminded me of Seth Rogen. He was very funny and straightforward and I like that. Also, he was a great teacher and has a good way of getting you to understand things. Sydney was the best counselor I could have asked for, and I appreciate EVERYTHING she did for me. She was more than just a counselor to me and even went out of her way to help my girls and I. I am forever grateful for her, Matt, and this program. I've never been to a rehab before this one so I may be biased, but if you're looking for a place to grow and get help, this is it. Thank y'all!

They offer supervised medical treatment to safely manage withdrawal symptoms during detoxification, residential care providing long
Reason for care: severe complex PTSD and MDD with psychotic symptoms. Paranoia and Cotard's Delusion. I liked the people here alot. Came in with deep delusions and paranoia. Shakin like chihuahua, noncompliant, hid from everyone, jumpy, the works. Was a damn mess. Yet they treated me with deep care the whole time. I balanced out on meds and felt human and put together again. They took attempts seriously but werent dicks about it. Had good safety tactics and deescalation methods. And even high needs mentally disabled were handled with respect and care I rarely saw when I worked on the other side of things as a tech in teen inpatient long term care and for mentally disabled people as well. They respected and accommodated my disabilities and mobility aids. And even advocated for me multiple times. The nurses, techs and the hijabi nurse practioner(Im sorry maam I was too deluded at the time to recall your name in our interactions.) Mister Jason and Mister Lee were outstanding nurses. And techs like the recreational tech, Miss Hollie, and the older black male tech especially who I adored the most of the staff. The latter truly went above and beyond in every aspect of his job. Again I was too out of it at first to recall his name. But even when I was extremely agitated and paranoid and didnt eat or sleep out of deluded beliefs for the first 26hr he always spoke to me gently, never took it personally, offered, was delightfully funny, truly seemed to have real compassion and love for the people he cared for. Truly made me second my own deep paranoia even in the worst of it because of how authentically nonjudgemental and empathetic he was. I wish I knew your name sir. You deserve all the appreciation in the world just like Mister Jason as well(sorry Mister Lee he beat you by a small margin.) I have a rough history with Christianity personally. And am now jewish. Yet the chaplain Mr. Randy's group therapy was fantastic. And to an equal degree was the veteran and group therapist Miss Tillie. Their groups never failed to meet people where they were. Were realistic in goals for each person. Answered any and all questions. And people early in their recovery or much further along and experienced like myself all found useful, insightful and life changing information at each. It never felt obligatory to me to go out for group once I wasnt paranoid. My only issue with this place? One of the social workers(again I was out of it and forgot her name) was extremely professional, nuanced and delightful. She intake interviewed me despite my actual one being Miss Bridget. And met with me a few times and was extremely great. Her counterpart Miss Bridget was awful. She only met with me when with nurse and only then to chime in vaguely. I was there a week. She was supposed to be meeting with me and gameplanning my care. She didnt. I tried to request for insight multiple times and she actively ignored the nurses and techs who asked for me and seemed just as confused at her negligence. She only met with me minutes before I left. And when I asked more specific questions she was a bit taken aback even though they were normal? Like am I to go into PHP/IOP or other care after this or return to normal care? She answered vaguely and with the undercurrent of someone who thought the whole thing was a waste of her time. Truly just not a good social worker in the slightest. Shed be polite and smile. Ill give her that. But when it comes to accessibility and reliability she is terrible. The hijabi nurse was a fantastic one. Nuanced, will take you seriously, careful, considerate but also realistic. And when she found out about my delusional-based SI she explained what had to happen. That it wasnt punishment. Just to protect me from myself. And i understood. The other nurse? Atrocious. She was a well dressed black female. She was capable, accessible and consistent. But her care truly uncaring. She will look at you deadpan and ask the basic 4 questions. Thats it. Terrible. Speaking of terrible Miss Kinetta(?) aka Miss K? Rude, disrespectful to all, jaded

Sophia , a social worker at Medical City Behavioral Health in McKinney has been an absolute blessing to our family. Her knowledge and clinical expertise has been evident in every interaction, and she approaches her work with professionalism and genuine compassion. She took the time to listen carefully, explain their process clearly, and ensure that our relative felt seen, heard, and supported. During a very sensitive and emotional time, Sophia provided steady guidance and reassurance that made a meaningful difference. The level of care she demonstrates goes beyond my expectation. In my opinion, she truly cares about the well-being of those she serves. Her authenticity is unmatched and her reward for recognition or a salary increase in order. We are incredibly grateful for her dedication and highly recommend her and Medical City Behavioral Health Hospital-McKinney to anyone seeking compassionate, professional behavioral health care.

I use to go to denton clinic last year and even years ago and I was honestly struggling very hard to keep up with payments and Im not here to bash... I blame myself for not communicating better. At the time I was forced to leave my denton home and stay with family in the colony and had to drive every day Mon thru Fri to denton. I finally tried looking for some place closer and thank the Lord He led me here. I called and they asked about insurance which I gave all my info about. I seriously had doubts that it would be of any help. Years ago methadone wasnt covered easily by insurance... But they made my day when they told me yep they take my insurance which is through marketplace. AND I would not have to pay anything out of pocket!! I was singing and dancing. Been here ever since. Even when I messed up and missed open enrollment, they still worked with me without insurance... i was so worried but everyone reassured me that they would find a way to help me here and they did. Everyone is SO NICE also. Love it here.

When I walked into Lighthouse on October 22, 2025, I had no idea what to expect. A couple days prior to my intake, I met with Austin Brown for an admissions screening. Bonded immediately and had a lot of similar experiences. I knew this was a good place for me. Then, I walked back in on October 27th, my first day of sobriety, for intake. I was nervous to say the least. Nothing in my life had gone according to plan over the past couple years, and I had really hit rock bottom the last 10 months. Reece conducted my initial intake and I got along with him great right off the bat. This meeting, immediately prior to my first IOP session at 6pm, showed me this was a serious place for recovery. I was all-in. Then came down to IOP evening sessions, 3 days a week for 3 hours. 12 week program and if you do well, you may have the opportunity to be invited back for an additional 8 week SOP program. The first thing I realized in IOP was I am not alone. There were other guys in similar positions as me and I could relate to them instantly. If not for my peers in IOP, led by our group counselors Jose and Collin, I don’t know if I would have stayed. Friendships were sparked in that room that will likely carry a lifetime. It’s all about who you surround yourself with during recovery. You need good people. Good counselors and good peers. You will get that at Lighthouse and you’ll get all the support you need along the way, in a beautiful facility.

Our son has been in Lighthouse’s sober living program for the past ten months. It is hard to know where to take your loved one when they are in crisis mode and at their most vulnerable. I am leaving this to encourage anyone needing to get their loved one help in the midst of an addiction. Lighthouse Recovery has provided a team of experienced professionals to lead our son out of addiction and into recovery. Their progress-based approach has given him the individualized care he has needed. During this entire process the Lighthouse team has always met our son where he was at, we have never felt like he was part of a system. His clinical team have done an outstanding job of identifying his mental health needs and getting him the treatment he needed. I know there are names I don’t know, but Brooke and Sam have been excellent all of these months. Sam really earned our son’s trust. The sober living program has been the daily guidance and structure to allow our son to heal and learn how to live sober. Bryce, Frankie, and all of the house managers have been fully committed to our son’s success. Bryce, as his case manager, has been a bridge for our family between the care team and our son. His communication is excellent. He has kept us up-to-date at all times and responds momentarily when we reach out. We have never felt cutoff from this process in any way. He will now be our son’s sobriety coach and we could not imagine the next phase of our son’s recovery without Bryce. We have experienced how the clinical and sober living teams work together for the mission of helping our son step into a full and productive life, healthy and sober. We will be forever grateful for everything they have done to equip our son and to give him this chance. They have stood in between our son and his addiction in a way our family could not have and they provided a safe haven for him to begin sobriety, Lighthouse Recovery has our highest recommendation and confidence.

I have only positive thoughts about Chapter House. My son has been there the last 10 months until his recent transfer. Last year was the most difficult time for him (and us). Doug and Marty were fantastic. They get to know their clients and are really dialed into each of their challenges. My son has been in many treatment facilities the last 6 years and I can tell you he made the most progress at Chapter House, he is the most stable that he has been in years. Chapter House is more than a Sober Living facility, they have much more safeguards and work more closely with the clients, more so than other facilities he has been to. I plan to stay in contact with Doug (Director Oper.) who really developed a great relationship with my son (and myself), he has a great heart and is so committed to his people.

I have been to this facility multiple times while in the midst of going through mental/life challenges and trauma and I really appreciate the effort put into my care by a majority of the staff. I just got released from a 9-day stay at this hospital. My first two days were the scariest, but once I got over that and had an open mind and better attitude, this place hands down saved my life. The nurses, techs and therapists are all amazing and truly want the best for you. While the first two days are rough for everyone, it does get better. And I made some good friends of all ages and walks of life. Mental health stability is possible and this place can work for you too if you just keep an open mind. I was so depressed I didn’t even want to wake up the next day. Now that I’ve had a reset, I couldn’t be happier about my future.

The nurses, therapists, and technicians are great here. I spoke with a doctor one time during my loved one’s stay. They definitely push to medicate, so if you are not comfortable just voice your concerns and request a more thorough diagnosis. I was able to contact my loved one and they were able to call me anytime. I was able to see my loved one 3x a week but I had to sign up via signup genius in order to do so. Definitely read their policies thoroughly. We unfortunately came through intake around 3 am and I was very tired and missed a few rules. It makes visits and dropping off clothes easier if you read. I was recently a patient in the ER at this hospital, and received excellent care from Dr. Kevin Hoffman and nurses Ryan and Brooklyn. The doctor has excellent bedside manner, was very thorough and listened to my concerns. I was extremely pleased with the overall experience and highly recommend this facility.

This is in regards to their Early Childhood Intervention program. My son was 2.5 years old when he had his evaluation by the ECI staff and was set to start services. He started 2-3 weeks after the evaluation. He had at-home services with Margarita Perez from August til beginning of April which was his 3rd birthday. He thrived so much with her and she was so incredibly kind, and very considerate if we were sick. Although, I tried not to miss barely any appts. My son loved her and was always extremely excited to see her every week. Some weeks, twice a week. I was impressed by the quality of service. We were on a sliding scale and paid under $30 a month for 4 sessions a month. Completely doable. Not only was I able to get my son quality care for his developmental and speech delay here, they helped me get him into Plano ISD Isaacs Early Childhood school for completely free. I pay nothing for my now preschooler to go there and he is thriving like no other. I’m beyond thankful for the extremely low cost to nearly free services plus being able to get my child in local top rated preschool for FREE beyond Lifepaths program and they even gave me a list of outside speech therapy beyond their program since my son has aged out. Resources on top of resources. So thankful! And everything was seamless from day 1 to the end.

as someone who has been a revolving door patient, I want to say that this hospital had been the best and I really do recommend it. I was in the adolescent twice in the same month and was greeted kindly even while having a breakdown. The kids are pretty nice and techs are superrr funny(Connie is one I mostly remember.) the rooms are nice and the food(especially the pizza) were good. My first stay here was spent on my birthday and I got a mini cheesecake which was better than nothing. I had attending their PHP in Richardson and can say that it was also great. Texas health seems to really know what their doing.

I am sorry it has taken me this long to write a review. I wanted to make sure that I had the time to really write in detail how well my son did with the program at Center for Discovery and how much he connected not only with the other kids there but with the staff. It has made a huge impact on him and us. Sometimes, I felt like we were spoiled. :) This has been a long journey and especially for my son since we didn't know till much later. When the decision was made that he needed to go to a residential, I was terrified and nervous. They worked super hard with our insurance to get him in and because CFD is 3.5 hours away from us, I was very reluctant, but we knew we had to do what we had to do for the health and healing journey for our child. It was a struggle trying to find a place that accepted adolescent males. I thank God every day that CFD accepted boys. We were so scared that were not going to be able to find anything for him in the state. Thankfully, we were able with the help of CFD speaking with the insurance back and forth, he was in. At this point he and the family just wanted to get started with this program. We were all so exhausted and I was emotionally drained. When we came for his admission, the whole staff greeted us with kind hearts and smiles. Just the knowing how scared and anxious families are they knew exactly how to read the room. Everyone was so very help for the first few weeks when I would ask a bazillion questions. I was scared about the medications, scared about everything. The whole fear of the unknown. And let me tell you, Marisol, Mallory and so many more were so patient and kind with me and my fears. It is like they know what they are doing or something lol!! But seriously. I don't know what I would have done without them talking me off the ledge sometimes because of my son being far and not being able to see him but once a week, that was tough for me. And everyone has their own battles, that one was mine. My son made some friends along the way and still is in contact with them once in a while and feel that is needed during this time of healing and recovery with teens. They need a good support system. The kids there were so supportive of him like they were family and felt great knowing he had that there and I was able to sleep just a little better at night knowing that. Once he finally broke out of his shell and began to really dive deep into what he needed to do to start this process, he did amazing. CFD was there for him and us every step of the way. He came out like a champ, and I am so proud of him and everyone at CFD for doing the hard work you do. It must be so rewarding and hard at the same time, with your heart strings being pulled every which way. YOU ALL ARE HEROS! Thank you so much for everything and if anyone ever needs a residential go to Center for Discovery. Much Love!

I was here January through March, 2024. Any reviews before May 2023 are from old, irresponsible management, and under Casey (Site Manager) and Kaitlyn (Lead Therapist/Clinical Manager) everything has run much better, and patients are treated with care and individual respect. From all the other residentials I have heard of from others, this is the place to be. This eating disorder residential is like no other that I've seen or heard of. I flew in from NC, so I can't say much for other Texas residentials, but I can say that two months here was one of the most beneficial experiences I have ever had. There are eating disorder and diet technicians, who are very well trained and prepare nutritious meals by the individualized diet orders of each patient, and genuinely care about the experience and healing of the patients they are working with. The staff was one of the best parts of my stay here. They keep a watchful eye on patients, yet don't make them feel as if they are in prison. CFD Plano is definitely a home setting. Here, myself and other patients are not only medically watched and stabilized, but also learn how to plan, cook, and understand meals ourselves. I came out of CFD with a much better knowledge and mindset about eating, with the careful patience of my entire care team. Primary care teams consist of a trained therapist, psychiatrist, dietitian, and pediatrician (only adolescents at this center). Patients are also cared for by on-site nurses, day and overnight staff, and occasional external doctor visits with guardian consent, if necessary. This treatment center was my first, and I gained a well-rounded understanding of all the processes and routines. The staff is very well informing. I felt safe here. Visiting hours are every evening, and after the patient moves up in their treatment, passes to take time with family may be granted. The treatment center cares for patients 9-18, and though those who come here for care are mostly teenagers, I have personally seen how well the team responds to caring for younger children. 10/10 recommend. In my time here, I had Stephanie as my therapist and Helen Mary as my dietitian. They were the most amazing clinicians I have had to this day. Both were very patient and understanding with me, having worked in this field for years, yet pushed me at the perfect pace to make sure I was recovering at the right pace for me. There are hard times in treatment, and I felt supported in my struggle in recovery. Stephanie worked with me on my other issues, such as communication, familial relationships, and self image, as well as my eating disorder. She made me feel understood and talked to me about what she was doing and why, along with my parents. Stephanie played one of the most crucial roles in my time here, and prepared me for leaving and being on my own from day one. Defiantely my favorite therapist out of the five that I have had in treatment. My dietitian, Helen Mary (Katool) played another crucial role in my recovery. She individualizes meal sizes and food exposures to each patient, and pushed me to broaden my tolerance of food in a way that I have seen no other dietitian master. Ms. Katool showed me a different way of viewing food, and intertwined therapeutic methods and exposures into how she teaches and treats clients with nutrition. I have also seen her work well with young children. In the first few days of treatment, patients will get ten minutes of phone time every night, and will move up in allotted times throughout treatment. Phone numbers will have to be approved by guardians to call. CFD does not tube patients, and will closely monitor their health. If nutritional deficiency are low to the concern of the patient's team, the patient will be admitted to the nearest hospital. CFDP treats multiple eating disorders. My review comes from my point of anorexia nervosa, but I was also alongside those and informed of those with bulimia, BED, and ARFID, who also got individualized treatment and groups pertaining to their needs. I will add the rest in the Q&A.
