Ms. Jaline and Ms. Abmer are truly remarkable individuals. I personally struggled with sobriety for a long time and have explored other recovery programs in the past. However, their program was the key to my sustained success. They have walked this path themselves and deeply understand the challenges and Wins of recovery. They have an empathetic understanding that extends beyond mere knowledge. The journey is undoubtedly demanding, with its share of highs and lows. Yet, their constant support is present. They got my son on the right medication after having a horrible experience at another facility!! My son is actually doing a lot better after coming home from here. They stayed in touch with us, called us daily and gave updates. Was very impressed with them. Yes they have rules the kids need to follow, and that’s good because everything has rules. Yes they spent time in the group room watching a movie but that gave him time to think about what he did to get to where he was. I would highly recommend them!!

"Update: June 24th 2025, the VA has taken strides in streamlining Veteran care in all its facilities, it is not the same as it used to be. You can pre check in to your appointments. They really care about veterans and working on their timeframes. " Previous review: I could go to Houston 2 hrs away and be seen.. However if you dont go to this outpatient clinic they will not see you unless you are seen within 2 yrs.. They will refuse you to be seen. In Baton rouge I was seen immediately that day at that va outpatient clinic.

I've been using Spindletop my entire adult life. I can't express how grateful I am for the team and the services offered/available to me in my darkest moments. I can't understand some of these reviews as they just seem petty and not really about the service overall, but something they themselves didn't do and expected Spindletop to do it or anticipate it. That's not how it works. Anyway keep your head up team you're doing the best you can with the minimal resources offered by the state.

This is the only place available that is very supportive of individuals who are down and out due to substance dependence, or emotional instability or mental illness. They are truly overwhelmed and underpaid. They help adults and children. Help is almost nonexistent in Beaumont for those who can’t afford healthcare of this nature. Human mental recovery is handled here. The family system easily erodes without such repair and healing.

Staff is professional does their job formally and accordingly. Case management and Re-entry is on top of their game as well going beyond the stars to help you get a job and established. I just left the Melton center yesterday. I have been struggling with substance abuse for twenty six years. I have never in my life met counselors who are more qualified for saving lives than the ones at the Melton center. They genuinely care about each client (and they have many). They are hyper focused on the needs of each client; I was made to face issues that I didn't even know I had. Even the counselor who wasn't assigned to me took one on one time with me to help me reach my potential. These ladies are a force in recovery. The office managers are fair, firm and consistent in helping the house to run smoothly, and to keep the ladies safe.. I am so thankful for the time I was gifted at that place.

Even the techs were so helpful n friendly i went in on 7-23-23 everything was good towards the end i got a couch how lucky was i to get couch AUTUMN ha she talked about my pants not being fancy enough for community saying i wasnt serious that I don’t want to b sober ( hint I was in rehab willingly) n basically ignored me wouldn’t help me get help with anything literally SHE DID NOTHING for me n the day I graduated im all proud n happy she walks up to me says “ im not gunna b ur couch, u don’t want this ur no hope bye “ I told the lady in charge she said “ she has to it’s to late , o well just go ask another couch “ other couches had already left or said they were full so while Santa Maria was great couch AUTUMN shouldn’t b a couch if that’s how she thinks while Santa Maria was setting me up for greatness the one person that’s supposed to b ur support on the outside tryed to set me up for failure n Santa Maria as a whole don’t need her mentality in a place like that ur supposed to couch help not tear us down

I enrolled as a patient at New Dimensions with no prior experience with iop. I called all around Houston and I gave this center a chance because they were the first ones to pick up the phone with a sense of compassion in their voices. I am an adult in my late 20s with alcohol and substance abuse history and I have ptsd from past traumas in my life as well as severe manic depression. My life had gotten to a place of complete unmanageability. I was scared that my diseases would eventually cause my inevitable death and I did not know any of the tools I needed to be a healthy functioning adult. All of that slowly and subtly started to change and improve because of the professional guidance I received from ALL of my therapists and counselors there. I learned how to replace bad habits with healthy ones and I choose my well being over the things that I can't change on a daily basis, one day at a time. I will always feel a sense of gratitude to this facility.

taylor recovery is the best! I came in and despite acting sort of out of control for a while, i was treated kindly and patiently by the staff and was able to detox and recover incredibly peacefully!
The facility is clean and the food is delicious (thanks chef john and mark!) the beds are comfortable and the rooms have tvs. we there are a variety of great counselors who are patient and yet persistent in leading you to a better self.

I came into Skyward treatment alone, lost, and completely broken. Not only was the entry process easy, but the ENTIRE staff went above and beyond to help me get there. I was warmly greeted by the techs the night I came in, terrified and so very nervous, they made me feel right at home. I had the privilege of meeting the manager Stephanie the next day and she warmly greeted me with a huge hug and open arms. I knew I was in the right place and would be safe. This place not only saved my life, but it CHANGED me as a person. The one-on-one counseling, along with their therapeutic way of treatment (CBT) was EXACTLY what I needed to begin my sober journey. My time there was not very easy on my mind and body, but the entire team came together on multiple occasions to make sure all my needs were met and I was given the best care possible for the 60 days that I was there. I would ABSOLUTELY recommend this place to anyone struggling with the dual diagnosis of mental health and substance abuse. Dawn, the NP is amazing. Thank you Jacob, Stephanie, Kat, Eric, all of the nursing staff, counselors, and also every tech! You all are AMAZING. The work this place puts in, in order to help people get clean and healthy again is beyond admirable. If you're looking for change, and a new start at life, Skyward is the place to go. Taylor Recovery Center in Sugar Land is a truly compassionate and professional rehab facility. From the moment I reached out, the admissions guy made the process seamless by helping with insurance verification and approvals. The staff combines evidence-based treatment with genuine care, creating a safe and supportive environment for healing. I’ve Known Of Montrose Counseling/Community Center since Summer of 1995. During That Time MCC was located on Richmond Avenue in a beautiful but smaller building than they’re in now. My first Therapist was Lee Willis a phenomenal therapist for anyone living with gender dysphoria. Since then I’ve had sporadic experiences at MCC from 1995 till 2008. However, when I move back to Houston in 2008 I started going To MCC consistently especially after 2009. I’ve had some wonderful case managers and therapist from Mandy Lloyd in 2009 till Daniel Perez now. I can honestly say there’re people who work at MCC who authentically care about the LGBTQ+ community of Houston very much, and those same people are willing to provide exceptional services for anyone regardless of their sexual orientation, gender, religion, or race to me that’s commendable.
I lost my Therapist/ Friend Mike Ator in November Of last year 11-04-24 was the day I was told he had passed away, and that news shook me to my core it was devastating heartbreaking news. I miss him greatly and that’s the kind of people that work at MCC phenomenal people who truly care and reaffirm to their clients they matter. In closing, I wholeheartedly recommend MCC to anyone who seeking services like Mental Wellness, Community groups to network, groups that meet to discuss life’s challenges, and helping people who are apart of the LGBTQ+ community by reaffirming the fact YOU MATTER 🤗 I Sincerely And Unequivocally give MCC Five Stars For being a lighthouse In Dark Times Thank You ☺️ GOD Bless 🙏🏾 !!!!!!

You get out what you put in. This place was literally life changing for me. Private rooms, you're assigned a team based on individual patients needs of a psychiatrist, individual therapist, and social worker, the grounds are gorgeous, the groups are run by people who are very good in their fields (like they have doctorates and some are even univeristy professors), the cafeteria does not suck and there are plenty of options (even multiple options for vegetarians and vegans), you can apply for different levels of responsibility (like how much trust staff can give you, you can get to the point where you can leave the unit alone and go for a walk), they give you an assigned private phone and MP3 player, the staff actually appears to enjoy their jobs, you are given resources for all of your needs. BUT you have to be willing to put in the work. They cant fix your problems for you. They cant make you contact your family, they cant make you take your medication, they cant make you go to group; you have to do that for yourself. It may be expensive, but you get your money's worth IF you put in the effort. But you have to want it. No one can do that part for you, but they will give you every resource they can, and will advocate for you tooth and nail with insurance. Of course theres other reviews of "this place is horrid" because its literally a psychiatric facility, not everyone there is going to have a good time. There was another Google review that made me consider and eventually pick this place as the place for me to get help that said "this place is actually ok." Its genuinely actually ok. If youre ready to change your life for the better and dedicate yourself to doing so, they will with open arms be ready to help you. Please consider this option. Compared to other places I have been inpatient, this has been the best mental health experience I've ever had. Genuinely.
