Three months ago, my dad was very sick and was ordered to go the nearest hospital and so I drove him . We were immediately checked in and the Doctor immediately went to work on him. They explained everything that was going on and treated him well. He was admitted to icu, where he spent the next five days. Dr. Miller ( who I can’t say enough good things about ) was awesome from beginning to end. Unfortunately after three months passes, my dad is having issues, because of the care he received we took him back to this hospital. Again, they had him checked in, the nursing staff treated him with great care. The Doctor on duty was not what I had experienced at the previous visit so I can’t say I was happy with her. She only came in the room once and stuck her head in once. She didn’t explain anything to us. Never knew what was happening. Later he was admitted which would be around 4 am the next morning. Dr. Miller was with my dad by 6 am. The nurses took very good care of dad. He loves Ms. Dorsey. From that 4 am admit until today when we left, every single person we came in contact with was educated, I caring and super friendly. I am happy that our hospital is making some good changes. I pray that it continues to strive. We need this place in our town. Thank you Dr. Miller and staff for helping my dad live a little longer, thank you for caring about not just him but his children too. Keep up the good work.

I arrived at the mission on November 30, 2018 broken and lost, an addict with no sense of direction and 17 years of self medicating. I joined the one year program then graduated to the internship program for another year. Once I completed my internship I became a staff member which lead to another four years. What the mission gave I could never repay. I found christ and letting him into my life as been the best and most rewarding experience. I now have a relationship with christ and first put God first in every decision I make. Now God is restoring family back into my life, Thanks to all the donor that makes it possible to help people in need. I will always be so grateful for what the mission has done for me . The mission has gave me HOPE again Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you , says the Lord . They are plans for good and not disaster , to give you a future and a hope... Well my experience with them was interesting I actually got kicked out at like 8 at night with my 2 yr old because they couldnt figure out who brought drugs into the facility and because I was the only resident to leave (took my daughter to the hospital) i got thrown out. I returned without my child a week later and completed the program. Learned alot met some good people. Would recommend them and do regularly.

Before learning about this place; I had very limited knowledge about what programs I would be qualified for (I’m a veteran) I assumed just the VA (for medical ) and I never gave it much thought past that . Finding out about the RRC has dramatically changed my life for the better; and I’m profoundly grateful. Prior to going there -I had lost my job and was about to be added to the ranks of the newly homeless (Depending on how you define “ homeless” in some people’s eyes, I would’ve already been there. I was staying on the floor of a gym at a church where I would clean every night
in exchange for sleeping there. I was too stubborn to go to a homeless shelter, because the one thing I had left in my life that I had no intention of leaving was my cat. Me and Cleo have been together a long time- she’s my family.
Fast forward almost a year. I have my own car; my own apartment (cat friendly! ) I make a little income online but also searching for a job (it’s hard to maintain a job if you can’t wash your clothes or have a place to stay) RRC didn’t do EVERYTHING for me - But I can honestly say I would not be where I’m at now without them. And although it’s a government agency, I have not met a bad employee from there- My caseworker, Amanda Jones; has went out of her way numerous times to help me-These people care about their clients and they do whatever they can to help them- If you are a veteran and you need help, they should be the first people you call. You won’t regret it.
I can not thank them enough for what they have done for me..

Last month I was in the Camden ER and I was with a friend while they were providing him care. All of the nurses at the Camden ER were so professional and understanding. Discovery point has changed my life I've been to 22 other rehabs it has been the most influential the staff is amazing the staff Miss birdie, Miss Whitney Brian P. Discovery point isn't JUST a rehab center. It's a place to change your life and to learn who you are. I definitely recommend Discovery Point because I SEE how this place works in people's life and changes them for the better.

I came here for my recovery, and at first I would say that I didnt like it, but that was making excuses for myself. But I stayed and graduated, this place tought me to learn patience and roll with changes that can come up in real life and not have to turn to drugs. Now im a peerlead helping others in the community to see the bright side of things and fight those urges we all get. This is hard thing to do alone, but if u build a community it becomes easier. I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE.

They waited until I was out of my medications at my appointment to refill them to tell us that they would have to reevaluate me, which would take a week. I joined their “STEP” program and my case worker missed 2 appointments without following up, then proceeded to blame it on me, who was a minor at the time. Then they continued to hold us in the building for over an hour, telling us that the needed to retest me after we told them we were done.
