I absolutely love this place. My doctor Dr Kimberly Parks knows her stuff! I used to take a useless antipsychotic but she prescribed me a different medicine that really helps my mood, my thoughts, and my outlook on life. She is very knowledgeable and very smart. She helped me overcome suicidal thoughts by providing me with a medication that works! I'm very grateful for coming into association with her and am thankful for the help she's given me. She also helped me cut down on smoking by giving me anxiety medication and yeah I'm just way happy with the care I've received from her.

I don’t even know where to begin. This treatment center is truly changing lives. My husband attended their program during one of the hardest times our family has ever faced, and I can confidently say they gave us hope and confidence in his recovery. From day one, the staff treated him with compassion and dignity. They weren’t just professionals—they were caring, patient, and truly passionate about helping people rebuild their lives. The counselors went above and beyond, not just helping him work through addiction, but helping him rediscover who he is without it. What meant the most to me as a spouse was how they kept family involved and supported throughout the process. I felt heard and understood. This wasn’t just treatment—it was transformation.

Discovery Point is an amazing place. I’ve only been here for a week, but it already feels like home. A pool, nice gym, great staff, and amazing chefs. Drew (chef) on top of her great cooking, is so positive and always smiling, and Star makes the best desserts - we even get desserts at breakfast when she’s here!! At the support staff and nurses are so kind and patient. So if you need a place to heal and recover from your addiction issues - this is the place:)

When your ready to stop living a lifestyle of choas and addiction and ready for sone real recovery you've came to the right place. Hands down Riverwalk Ranch is the number 1 treatment center for a fruitful holistic change. My experience with my treatment is life changing and the treatment team has went above and beyond in leading me to a sober lifestyle. For instance, I had some insurance issue and it stopped me in mid track, and that did not stop the care team, matter of fact they had the right to discharge me right then but they cared for my recovery so much I was allowed to stay and continue my recovery process without any interruption until I was able to fix this issue. Which saved my life. I cant thank them enough and owe my care team love and respect. So stop looking for a place to start your recovery and reach out to the team here at Riverwalk Ranch. Medmark Treatment Center is an absolute wonderful place for addiction recovery! All the staff are extremely supportive & very genuinely want every person who walks through their doors to walk out their doors with a positive experience living in your brand new sober life. They have access to so many different places to help with any type of aid one might have such as homelessness, paying bills, anything life throws at you! They help not because it's their job...they very genuinely care about people & they want "their" people to live a sober, happy, positive new life always knowing that they will always be there for you should you wake up one morning & find life has gone south. Once enrolled in the outpatient treatment there, you are assigned a counselor that is available to you for any reason every day with Sundays being the exception! I have found that a lot of people really don't have a very positive attitude towards Methadone treatment, & I believe that it is because they don't understand it & it's role in your recovery. I know when I initially signed up, I didn't know or even realize all the pros of using Methadone would bring me. In fact, I only knew one thing & that was that the Methadone would prevent me from having to endure the torment of going through withdrawals from my body physically needing the heroin. Anyone who has ever been "Dope sick" from heroin will quickly tell you what a living hell it can be, in fact there are some people who have actually lost their lives not from using heroin but from going through withdrawals from not having it. I had attempted many different times to relieve myself from the dangerous drug & the "Drug Life" only to repeatedly fail for one reason or another...most of which was the cravings I would have to do the drug even though I was sick to death of that lifestyle mistake due to looking for something that would numb me & my emotions after being physically & sexually assaulted back in 2012. I learned that the Methadone actually prevents those cravings, which is why Medmark Treatment Center was my saving grace & the reason I successfully after two & a half years was finally comfortable enough to leave from there completing their program successfully & have now been free of "Satan's Drug" for almost 4 years now! (2025) I do not ever want to live that lifestyle ever again, it was a whole nightmare within itself & my life was completely chaotic & stressful during the years that I was in my addiction. Should you or someone you love & care about or even someone you may not know well yet...find them stuck in an addiction PLEASE be kind enough to introduce them to the help that Medmark offers. I, myself...have told numerous people about it some who went & others who didn't...but I physically took seven different addicts there & introduced them to recovery through Methadone or Suboxen at Medmark. All seven of them enrolled into the program. After a bit of time, two of them stopped going for reasons of their own...but the other five are living their new lives sober, happy and thriving. You can contact either the primary Medmark Center at the 1-800 number or you may contact the local Medmark Center located on Washington Avenue here in Waco, Texas USA at the local number. Simply Google Medmark Treatment Center near me! I wish each & every one of you the sober life we all deserve & are meant to live. Life is already difficult, more so for some than for others...if you've ever wondered what "Hell" is like... it's like living in this already difficult world, while having an addiction! It's a very deep, dark, lonely, extremely scarry place for anyone to be in, especially alone due to your friends & family abandoning you because they find out you are an addict. Please let them know that you love & care for them & introduce them to Medmark. You will most likely be saving their life. Noone has to go it alone as long as Medmark is here. You can expect to find a non-judgmental staff, who are all on your side to help when & where they are needed. At Medmark "YOU CAN & WILL RECOVER"!

I wrote a previous review about the amazing staff at Symetria Recovery but can’t believe I forgot to include the sweetest woman I see as soon as I walk through the doors every morning. Her name is Karen. She works at the front desk, but as I watch her while waiting, I see her perform many other duties than a typical front desk receptionist would do. The thing that means the most to me about her as sometimes I have to bring my three-year-old son with me, she welcomes him with the open arms. She plays with him if she has time she colors with him whatever she needs to do to keep him occupied and happy while I’m getting help. I am 37 years old. I became incredibly aware of my mental health issues 16 years ago. Since then, I have been in therapy and psychiatry and hospitalized in eight different mental health facilities - fifteen different times. I just want to address the negative reviews…. First of all, some of the negative reviews I read, I agreed with. Thus, I am not bias. Second of all, for those who are complaining about this place being terrible for the following reasons… If there is a written agreement between the hospital and yourself where certain conditions are implemented for you to receive their help with stuff by them, don’t blame them for no longer upholding their part of it if you violated your part or dropped out of their program voluntarily. If you have a medical emergency and you choose to “stay home” instead of going straight to their facility, of course you’re going to be discharged from their program! It’s the same with rehabs/clinics/PT/etc. Especially if you’re going to refuse to work the program. Yes, I can agree that a few, not all - were treated in a scammy way because they have such good health insurance. For the rest though, no, they’re not being scammed. When a person first walks in to any mental health facility, theyre evaluated. They do this for: 1. To see if they have the capabilities to treat someone. If so, they will determine if they need outpatient or inpatient care 2. If the person should be voluntary or involuntary as inpatient 3. If the person goes AMA - after being told they need to be admitted and walks out then decides a few hours later that they want to go there, yes, they will have to be re-evaluated for the above reasons. 4. Regardless of going in voluntarily, you have to sign the AMA papers to be discharged. Within 24 hours, the doctors have to make a decision - either agree to it and sign off on it or if they feel your still a danger to yourself or others, then, you will be “involuntary”. 5. Since ObamaCare went into full effect, a nationwide bill was passed that if you do not have any health insurance, it doesn’t matter if you’re admitted involuntarily or voluntarily - you still have to pay out of pocket. Most times though, if it’s involuntary, the facility is already contracted with the state to have everything paid. If not, they will negotiate a contract with the state to pay for everything during your stay. Unless, you’re taken to the ER first. The ER will bill you. That’s also part of the nationwide bill they passed. Usually anyone who walks into a mental health facility on their own accord, will most likely be declared as not a danger to themselves or others. Unless, told otherwise. If it’s a real mental health crisis, 911 should be and are usually the first point of contact. Hospitals, especially behavioral hospitals are not hotels. They’re not supposed to be even close to a mental health vacay or whatever. You can’t just do what you want, come and go as you please, and expect your every want/need to be granted. Stop thinking that.

He was very conscious to not over use a strained muscle and possibility risking an injury, but altered my plan to still achieve the goals set. In reference to OT Edwin & PT Justin, I am amazed with my progress from Monday 8/4 to Friday 8/13! Nurse on 8/6 (Wed overnight into Thursday AM) had a very unhelpful attitude towards me. It was like I was wasting her time when I asked for her help. 8/7 & 8/8 Nurse Ruth & nurse tech DeeDee were top notch! And great attitudes! Nurses Karla & Michelle & nurse techs  Janie & Lateka were also very good! Dr. Rega stopped by everyday to ask if there was anything I needed--med adjustments, etc.). After I had been here a week, the bed was leaving a lot to be desired. When she asked me on Friday AM if there was anything she could get me, I half jokingly said a new bed would be nice. Her response was to let her see what she could do. When I returned from therapy at lunch, they delivered a new mattress! And they double stacked the new w/the old one. A major improvement!

I had the best experience of my life. Just learning who I was and excepting me for who I am. Misty was the most amazing person I have ever met and made me realize it’s okay to be who I am, and realizing I have meaning and purpose. It’s not about yesterday it’s about being you. It was an amazing experience and one that I would recommend anyone that is struggling to do the work with people that have walked in your shoes. I left over 6 months ago and I still think about the impact that people have had on my life. Truly mind changing and the best thing you could for yourself and your life. If you need a person it will be Misty she is amazing I love her.

This was scary for me, being my first time going into treatment voluntarily. I wanted to leave. In the end, I didn't want leave. I created a bond with the staff and other residents. It was a family hard to depart from.

The Dr. Taylor is absolutely gorgeous. I usually don't like redheads but he is yummy and very personable. I probably sound like a wretched old woman saying such things but no says it's the only joy I have sometimes. Lol (jk) I am just a little out of because they won't fill out and sign my home health order that my agency gave me so I can get my community attendant back already. Been a whole month and it doesn't take a month to fill out half a page and fax it. Come on you are killing me here Would you get it done already?

We are beyond grateful to have Dr. Leisel Mills,NP at the JPS Stop Six Center. She is absolutely amazing! I used to accompany my husband to every doctor’s visit, but with Dr. Mills, I feel completely at ease knowing he is in such capable hands. She is incredibly thorough, taking the time to address every concern and ensuring her patients fully understand their care. Her kind and warm demeanor creates such a comforting atmosphere, and it’s clear she genuinely cares about her patients. I feel truly blessed to have her as my husband’s new doctor. Dr. Mills is a shining example of what exceptional medical care looks like!

I never leave reviews on places via Google, but here we go. This place absolutely saved my LIFE. The other patients there were very friendly and funny, and managed to get me out of my shell. The staff were so kind and considerate, and always knew exactly what to say. I've never felt safer before when going to a program like this. I was almost distraught when I had to get discharged, but overall, during the two and a half weeks I was there, this significantly changed my life for the better. I LOVE ALL OF YOU GUYS!!!!!!! P.S Hannah, I'll never forgive you for making me lose a game of uno on my last day there.

I am so grateful for the amazing staff at Hickory Trail. My brother received excellent care during his time there, and the compassion, professionalism, and patience of the team made all the difference for both him and our family. A very special thank you to his caseworker and therapist, Joshua Otway, for his guidance, support, and kindness. He went above and beyond to help my brother and gave us so much encouragement along the way. I’d also like to recognize Nurses Mya, Juliet, and Fate, whose care and compassion meant so much to us. The staff at Hickory Trail truly make an impact, and our family is deeply appreciative of everything they do.
