Heartwood Recovery truly saved my life. From the moment I got there, I felt like I was surrounded by people who actually cared about me and wanted to see me succeed. Being a young adult in recovery can be difficult, but Heartwood does an amazing job helping younger guys feel comfortable, connected, and understood. One of the biggest things I took away from Heartwood was the brotherhood. I built real relationships with people who were going through the same things as me, and that made a huge difference in my recovery. The combination of the 12 steps, clinical support, recovery coaches, and staff gave me the structure and tools I needed to start building a better life. The outings were great, the food was honestly amazing, and the entire staff made Heartwood feel more like a community than a treatment center. I’ll always be grateful for my time there and the people I met. Heartwood didn’t just help me get sober, it helped me learn how to live again. I can genuinely say Heartwood saved my life, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for real help.

I had the opportunity to work with Blake Goldstein, and she is kind, compassionate and incredibly skilled at her job. The people who work here are committed to support recovery in this world that can be so hard to navigate, and it was refreshing and encouraging to see the devotion and expertise on each level of the treatment team, including therapists, business development, and administration. Beyond the logistics, I felt a truly loving and warm feel when I went to the residential and IOP location. I would highly recommend Sage for a chance to reset and pivot from whatever is blocking you from living in your highest purpose.

My son was at this facility. At first I had a few little issues with some of the staff but learned my son was the issue not the staff. The 2 staff members I dealt with the most were Crystal and Austin and I have the upmost respect for them they both had went above and beyond to try to help my son with his issues and he ended up needing to go to a more strict facility and Austin and Crystal went above and beyond to find a facility that could help him better and Crystal went above and beyond and took time out of her busy day to take him to that facility so I didn’t have to drive for 2 days to get there to take him. I am forever grateful for everything Austin and Crystal have done to get my son the help he needs.

All, ALL the staff here are very helpful and friendly. Everyone is doing their best to provide great service, above being under staffed and I'm sure under paid. REMEMBER, they cut their funds, they limit the amount of time they are allowed for each veterans appointment. Policies and restrictions placed upon employees (EVEN Doctors) on what they are allowed to do and schedule, so much so including doctors don't even have access to their full computer network. EVERYONE is restricted to which part of the computer system and network they are allowed to see plus access: Scheduling, Referrals, etc. Despite this!!!, Somehow, they still are able to provide great service within all the restrictions placed on them that could easily prevent a person from providing/ wanting to give great service and medical care. ***Hard to stay motivated and give a friendly face with all these restrictions placed on your job/ position. Yet, they still do, and they do it for us; many could go out to the private sector and get more.... but stay for us. THANK YOU ALL = FOR "YOUR SERVICE" to us Veterans.

Recovery unplugged changed my life in ways I never thought possible. The care for their clients went far beyond my expectations of rehabilitation centers. My counselor LuLu helped me find the understanding of myself needed to move forward from active addiction, my case manager Chloe provided me the resources needed to take the next steps, and my Alumni Coordinator Natalie has an incomparable heart for those in recovery as they take those next steps. The program also entrenches you in the Austin recovery community, intentionally becoming the connective tissue with society needed for rehabilitation from addiction. As someone who never wanted to step into rehab, I would recommend the program to anyone.

I was a client here and stayed for 3 months. I honestly only had the intention to stay 1. Each month I agreed to extend because this place was worth it. One of my character flaws is perfectionism and I could complain about some small issues, but honestly that's irrelevant to the support and care I received. After detox, I was assigned the absolute best therapist I have ever had and several amazing recovery coaches that helped me work through my personal issues, legal problems, and my FMLA so I had a job to return to. I learned more about mental health, addictions, and coping skills then I ever expected. I met lot of amazing friends that I still keep in regular contact with since my departure and most of the staff are incredibly loving and caring. Food and facility cleanliness was also great. Overall, I had my ups and downs, but was shown to overcome them and have been thriving more than I had in a long time before arriving to windmill. God always keeps my life "interesting", but I'm glad this place came into my life.

I went into rehab scared, and unknowing of what to expect. Once I got there, Robert (head tech) and Angie (one of the many amazing nurses) made me feel very safe & welcomed me, explained the rules in detail and were willing to help me with whatever I needed. I did the intake process & got settled into detox. The next few days I went to classes and they opened my eyes to staying longer than my original plan which was just for detox. I stayed the whole 45 day program and it was the best decision for me. Some days were harder than others but the technicians - like Courtney, Karissa, Raven, Tito, Chris, JJ, and Sonny. - really made such a huge difference in my stay. Not only do some of them teach the courses but they are with us day to day & get to help us in some of the darkest toughest moments. Others that really helped were counselors - like Andrew, Jennifer, Chelsea, and Katie - with the curriculum, and sessions placed to help us not have to worry about outside troubles, and just to feel comfortable in our recovery. It made all the difference. And for the aftercare, there is Ripple Ranch Continuum Outreach Program, and our fantastic alumni coordinator Skyler Wellman. If anyone needs literally anything ever, he’s the man to go too, his heart and passion for the recovery in every stage is beautiful and awe inspiring. ✨ Not to mention the wonderful chefs in the kitchen who make us 3 wonderful tasty meals a day. And Ms.Nettie - can’t forget that most amazing woman✨💛 kept me strong even when I didn’t think I had anymore left in me. 🌸✨ Ripple became my home for 45 days when I needed it the very most. The connections I’ve made there will last a lifetime & I am so so grateful for it. ✨💛

Ripple Ranch was exactly what I needed and I am grateful for the staff, medical team, and counselors. I joined at one of the lowest points in my life and the work was not easy but the support from the team pushed me through the program and greatly improved my recovery and sobriety. I was so scared but I was unusually willing to do anything, the night before waking up in that ditch I was contemplating suicide, again. For so many years I watched my life fall apart time and time again, over and over. I really never understood why I was unable to control my drinking. Leaving Briarwood and while being transported to Nova recovery center I didn't know what to expect but my anger and anxiety were already building. I still can't get over how amazing Nova looks, it pretty much relaxes you the minute you arrive! I had never been to "rehab" before so I was blown away by the beauty of the amenities and the attentive staff. So with that said, I was sweet and grateful to be there for about 48 hours and then I started being the walking talking character defect stage character I was, telling everyone how they should do their jobs and finding things, if not inventing things to complain about. I still get embarrassed sometimes of my actions and comments I made the first weeks of my stay. But what stands out is how the staff didn't even blink! I never got the reaction I would of deserved! I was loved on! I was given understanding and compassion! They treated me like the sick person who needed help, that I was! They dug in and held me accountable with truth and what I referrer to as grace. The Recovery specialist who work with us, for us and teach us vital solutions to my disease of alcoholism that I will be forever grateful for. From the frequent individual counseling sessions to the daily group counseling classes to the, "hey I need to talk!", I received an understanding of how to maintain my life of sobriety! Nova is a very important and special place to me so I could really go on and on but the main point I want to testify about is this, I'm truly a better person today because of the dedication to helping people by the Nova recovery family! Nova is far from perfect, and some of the information can be misleading. But if you want to dive deep into the 12 Steps while enjoying good food and a beautiful scenic view, this is the place for you. The staff is great — the RAs and techs are friendly and genuinely care. The woman who runs it, however, can be unreasonable and enforces some silly rules (like not being allowed to save your food for later — insanity), but fortunately, she’s not around much. Jeff and Korn are the ones who really run the show. They have a ton of recovery experience and are both awesome guys who truly care. Jeff changed my life and helped save my marriage, so the place gets five stars from me for that reason alone. Thank you to Jeff, Korn, Cassandra, Jen, Leon Phelps, Aaron, and the rest of the staff!

I came here barely alive, hopelessly alcoholic after years of heavy daily drinking. Going on 15 months sober. I wouldnt be here if it wasn't for them. I thought I'd need a 30-day program after, but i felt so much better by day 5 that I resolved to not drink again, and still havent. They have the drug cocktail down to a science, I barely felt any serious withdrawls. The nurses are very attentive albeit DMV-ish at times, which is a good thing in that context. The staff is very kind and caring, experienced and understanding. No nurse ratchet here. You will be frustrated by some of their institutional policies, but they do a good job explaining why those policies are in place without being overbearing or condescending. The reasons I gave it 4 stars, not 5. This is not an indictment but constructive criticism, and a warning about what to expect if these issues matter to you: The food seems to be mostly cooked off site and reheated. It's stale institutional slop, with processed food snacks left out. Nothing on the menu is fresh or natural. I had some food sensitivites and they had trouble wrapping their heads around it. I ended up mostly eating fruit cups and bagels with cream cheese. You cannot order food in. This policy is in place because people will try to sneak things in and this facility does take on patients who are there against their wishes via parents, employment deal, or court order. If you're running a detox, you may want to consider serving healthier food? Fresh fruit instead of canned? some high fiber grains? real meat, not frozen food? I brought this up. Hopefully they fixed it. There wasn't much to do there. They had a room full of movie theater seats with a flatscreen, a broken guitar, some supermarket books, AA stuff, and a set of chairs outside. Mostly you sit around and talk, watch tv, or sleep. It's a small property but you can walk laps. There's no counseling at the detox. Some AA volunteer groups shows up once in a while to talk. It may be helpful for some. There should be an on site counselor that does that job full time. Everyone else has their own specific job and sitting down and talking to people 1 on 1 didnt seem to be part of the description. They seem to be focused entirely on the medical detox aspect of the process. If you need rehab, you do that after, or find a rehab that does detox on site.

Overall good treatment center. Great therapists and all that. If you’re looking for addiction treatment I’d definitely try applying to go there. But if you need mental health treatment, you’d best look elsewhere since they only deal with mental health as it relates to addiction. Just coping skills training & some psych-ed. Not much art therapy if that’s your thing. Also, they don’t really help you find a job so just be aware of that too. I would go to them again if I relapsed I guess. They’ll get you to 6 months sober at least. Being discharged too early before I felt like I was ready activated my abandonment wound though.

My experience with Alpha (Now Release) was wonderful. This is where my experience with addiction recovery became enjoyable not just a chore. I found a distinctive unique experience. If it wasn't for this amazing program and facility I wouldn't be here today. It's been almost two years since I first walked through the doors of BRC. I would first and foremost like to say that if it wasn't for the staff for taking genuine interest and concern for my overall being and seeing past my physical appearance that I was struggling with something much deeper than I wouldn't have stayed. I see some negative comments and believe me I had some when I first got to Austin, TX. But, sitting here clean and sober almost 2 years later I will admit that if it wasn't for this knowledge that was given to me by this program, I probably wouldn't be who I am today. I've come to my own realization that your addiction will convince your brain of anything to keep you living in the darkness. It will tell you that you aren't and addict or that because you look different that you aren't an addict. I'm currently still working on underlying problems that led me down the road of addiction and using them to help build my strength to continue this journey of recovery. If it wasn't for BRC I would still be a lost 29-year-old mother of 6 beautiful children and I wouldn't know that a healthy relationship looks like or that firm boundaries with unhealthy people are okay. I walk in a new light thanks to this place and the people that make this program possible. One day my children will also thank them for giving them their mom back! No words can ever express the gratitude that I have for BRC. Please have an open mind when going into this program because I promise it will all be worth it. The program is strict but our addiction are even darker.

Hector A. was sincere, down-to-earth, and easy to talk to, and he made it comfortable to have meaningful conversations about some of life's more difficult experiences. Simply, Positive Recovery “PRC” has been a lifesaver. Following my inpatient treatment I enrolled in the PRC PHP program approximately two (2) years ago. Upon completion of PHP I transitioned to IOP and now I continue with IOP aftercare. None of the above were court ordered but I knew if I wanted my life different I had to make different decisions. And I did. I continue to attend aftercare because my life depends on it. The counselors / facilitators have been a game changer for me. Hector, the current counselor, is extraordinary with his treatment approach and communication skills to effectively communicate with the various patients personalities and addictions. I went to Cenikor 5/6/21 and have been sober ever since. I am so grateful for this place and the experience. There was one counselor specifically who helped me with my childhood trauma and I still carry what she would say to me to this day. The people who work there all have experience and genuinely care about you. I am so grateful for Cenikor foundation. I recommend the Arbor to anybody struggling with addiction and mental health. I was hesitant to leave my young daughter at home, but I am so grateful that I did so I could get the help I need to be the mom she needs today. I didn't feel like a number here. The women's house feels like a home, the food is good, it's not a cafeteria its chefs and they are awesome. Brand new gym equipment and facilitated exercise. But aside from all of that, it's the people who put their time into the clients at the arbor that I appreciate the most. I had never been to an AA centered treatment facility, and this was life changing. I met with my counselor, Kalli once a week and had the opportunity to meet with her more if I wanted to. I met with my recovery manger, Paula once a week as well. The Psych doctor, Kasey is ON HER GAME. I was able to meet with her within the first week of arrival. I felt like my needs and concerns were met across the board. Being surrounded by nature and horses was very therapeutic. Just about everyone working there is in recovery which I also respect and appreciate. Swing by the barn and meet with the horse ladies they are amazing, even if you don't want to do equine. The Arbor will forever be one of the places that forever changed the course of my life. I arrived at the Arbor immediately after spending six days in detox. I was terrified, ashamed, overwhelmed, and convinced that my life had completely fallen apart. I believed I had lost my marriage, my family, my career, and everything I had worked so hard for. Walking into residential treatment was never somewhere I imagined my life would take me. The Arbor gave me much more than a place where I couldn’t drink. It gave me the space to finally understand my addiction, look honestly at myself, begin dealing with the damage my drinking had caused, and learn how to live differently. The staff didn’t simply tell me what I wanted to hear. They challenged me, supported me, encouraged me, and helped me begin doing the work that recovery required. There was also something incredibly special about the community of women there. We came from completely different backgrounds and walks of life, yet somehow we understood one another in ways that people outside of addiction sometimes can’t. There were tears and incredibly hard days, but there was also laughter, prayer, encouragement, and friendships that made those difficult days a little easier. My faith also became an important part of my healing. I can look back now and see God’s hand in so many details that I couldn’t understand while I was living through them. I walked into The Arbor feeling broken and hopeless. I did not walk out with a perfect life or every relationship instantly repaired, but I walked out with hope, tools, accountability, and a foundation for recovery. And then I went home and kept doing the work. Today, more than three years after my last drink, I am still sober. My marriage and family are healing, and relationships I once feared I had destroyed have experienced restoration that I wasn’t sure was possible. My life today is something I honestly could not have imagined when I first came to The Arbor. Treatment wasn’t easy. There were moments I wanted to leave. There were things I didn’t want to hear and things about myself I didn’t want to face. But looking back, I am grateful that treatment wasn’t simply made comfortable for me. I needed people willing to help me face the truth while also reminding me that my life was worth fighting for. I will always be grateful for The Arbor, the staff who poured into me, the women who walked beside me, and the role this place played in my recovery. It will forever be a transforming part of my story.

I went to the Arbor at my rock bottom in 2023. My life was falling apart around me and I could not pull myself out of the despair. My family reached out to the Arbor for help and I’m so grateful that they did. My time at the Arbor changed my life. My addiction had taken me so deep into despair that I didn’t even know where to begin to get my life back on track. The staff at the Arbor took their time to help me learn about myself and find out who I am. The time and care they took to teach me about addiction, boundaries, family systems and reliance on a higher power changed how I was able to approach life. They gave me the support and resources I needed to live a life in recovery and it has been beautiful. My family life, personal accountability and interpersonal relationships have completely shifted to allow for real connection for the first time in my life. This program works if you work it. I was at my lowest point 3 years ago and now I will be getting married to the love of my life this upcoming year. I owe everything to the Arbor and the people who make this place what it is.
