Not only to myself, but to Sage, I owe a depth of gratitude for my success in my journey towards sobriety. From the clinicians/techs/chefs & more, comfortable amenities and daily structure in wellness activity provided the best opportunity for success. I have waited for over a year to write this review to ensure my time at Sage was indeed "life-changing". I can now confidently say, my decision to seek therapy there was one of the best decisions I have ever made. For over 30 years I struggled with depression and anxiety and turned to alcohol to cope. But thanks to the therapists and counselors at the center, I now have the resources to manage my emotions in a healthy way. I feel like I've regained control of my life, and I'm excited to move forward with a new sense of confidence and purpose. I also attend their alumni group, which offers individuals free, weekly social events that provide ongoing support, education, and networking opportunities. It's an excellent resource for anyone in recovery who wants to continue their journey towards wellness and a better life. Overall, I would highly recommend Sage Recovery Center to anyone struggling with addiction or mental health issues. The environment is wonderful, the people are fantastic, and the support you receive is truly "life-changing". If you're looking for a place to help you get back on track, this is it.

My son was hopeless, and our lives were falling apart when I called our insurance company for information on an in-network facility. Their first recommendation was Infinite Recovery, and I am eternally grateful it was. The first person we spoke with was Tanner and then the clinical department. They walked us through a full continuum of care program that was tailored to my son's needs. They also provided the most exceptional family program I have seen, and it has helped our family heal and unite. My son is still in the program living in a beautiful sober living home. He now has a job and excellent community support. I highly recommend Infinite Recovery!!!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Sage Recovery and Wellness Center is truly a healing place. From the moment you arrive, you can feel the peace and care that went into creating such a beautiful environment. The property itself is stunning — from the pool and hot tub to the cozy spaces throughout the villa (which feels more like a luxury home than a facility). The daily schedule may look full at first, but it’s so thoughtfully structured. Over time, you start building healthy habits and routines that carry into your everyday life after you leave. Some of my favorite parts were equine therapy at the Healing Horses Ranch (the staff there are amazing!), accudetox, yoga, and personal training. Everything is designed to help you reconnect with yourself and appreciate the little things again. The villa is gorgeous — spacious, peaceful, and filled with comforts like books to read, a beautiful kitchen, and incredible chef-made meals. But what truly makes Sage special is the staff. They don’t just show up for you — they get down in the trenches with you. They listen, they care, and they help guide you out of the darkness with compassion and understanding. The clients I met there became like family. Everyone is going through something, and it’s so powerful to feel seen, supported, and understood in that way. The therapists and curriculum are absolutely life-changing — I learned so many coping skills that I use every day. I am beyond grateful for my time at Sage. It was one of the most transformative experiences of my life, and I genuinely believe they saved my life. If you’re ready to work on yourself and heal, this is the place to do it. 💛

My son was at this facility. At first I had a few little issues with some of the staff but learned my son was the issue not the staff. The 2 staff members I dealt with the most were Crystal and Austin and I have the upmost respect for them they both had went above and beyond to try to help my son with his issues and he ended up needing to go to a more strict facility and Austin and Crystal went above and beyond to find a facility that could help him better and Crystal went above and beyond and took time out of her busy day to take him to that facility so I didn’t have to drive for 2 days to get there to take him. I am forever grateful for everything Austin and Crystal have done to get my son the help he needs.

They took very good care of our daughter and provided very good support and services. I would highly recommend this place for adolescents needing help. They really take the time to individualize care and provide for their safety and comfort. I’m not sure why other people had such negative reviews because nothing like those things happened while my daughter was there and she was there for 45 days. I never felt that the safety of my child was compromised. Her mental health was well-looked after.

I sent my daughter here a couple of months ago for some serious behavioral issues. She was 12 and turned 13 while in Meridell. She received treatment here for 105 days total. My daughter had several acute care stents with various mental health facilities since the age of 7. After a suicide attempt and several times calling law enforcement for homicidal ideation, it was suggested that we try a residential treatment center. I did not want to send my child away for a long stretch of time but I was desperate and had no idea what to expect. When she first started, it was hard for both she and I. Received a lot of phone calls in the beginning both from her and the staff. But I stuck with it. Her therapist (Ms. Amy C) and her doctor were absolutely wonderful. My child had the hardest time with interactions with her peers. As you can imagine, being in a facility with 20 other teenage girls isn't exactly disney land. She had no complaints about the staff.. her favorite was Ms. Betty. The staff were amazing and friendly. If I wanted to see my daughter, they were encouraging to have on campus and off campus visits. Very family oriented. We had a weekly family therapy session that helped tremendously. My daughter has been out of Meridell for over a month now and I can say without a doubt that this has been the biggest improvement with my daughter. She learned some great coping strategies, has the right doses of meds and learned conflict resolution. Are things perfect? No. Are things better than what it was? Without a doubt. Everyone will have different experiences with places like this and I'm not here to say that this place with change your child's life... but it did in fact change our lives.. for the better.

Windmill is set amongst a beautiful scenery of trees and deers, that enables peace of mind and a healing quietness for the spirit. This serene atmosphere grows and shines in the people living there and the ones there providing us support through their smiles and patient caring for each other. I was able to learn again what it felt like to be human, sane, and a part of something. Fellowship being the heart of the strength built, I walked away with a community that stands as an army ready to fight together. You will be empowered. It works if you work it. As the windmill keeps turning, so shall we!

Long story short, 35 years of hard drinking landed me in a ditch in a city I'm not even from. But I thank GOD every day for it! My desperation for change got me to Briarwood detox center. I was so scared but I was unusually willing to do anything, the night before waking up in that ditch I was contemplating suicide, again. For so many years I watched my life fall apart time and time again, over and over. I really never understood why I was unable to control my drinking. Leaving Briarwood and while being transported to Nova recovery center I didn't know what to expect but my anger and anxiety were already building. I still can't get over how amazing Nova looks, it pretty much relaxes you the minute you arrive! I had never been to "rehab" before so I was blown away by the beauty of the amenities and the attentive staff. So with that said, I was sweet and grateful to be there for about 48 hours and then I started being the walking talking character defect stage character I was, telling everyone how they should do their jobs and finding things, if not inventing things to complain about. I still get embarrassed sometimes of my actions and comments I made the first weeks of my stay. But what stands out is how the staff didn't even blink! I never got the reaction I would of deserved! I was loved on! I was given understanding and compassion! They treated me like the sick person who needed help, that I was! They dug in and held me accountable with truth and what I referrer to as grace. The Recovery specialist who work with us, for us and teach us vital solutions to my disease of alcoholism that I will be forever grateful for. From the frequent individual counseling sessions to the daily group counseling classes to the, "hey I need to talk!", I received an understanding of how to maintain my life of sobriety! Nova is a very important and special place to me so I could really go on and on but the main point I want to testify about is this, I'm truly a better person today because of the dedication to helping people by the Nova recovery family! Sincerely, Dustin❤️

I really needed some accountability and to be around other sober people after a relapse on alcohol in August. I signed up for the online IOP service and my counselor was Jasmine. She was amazing. I found myself looking forward to group everyday and felt a great relief of wanting to use after group. It helped me stay sober and maintain abstinence from alcohol I am truly grateful for the program. Jasmine is amazing and I consider her a good friend at this point she was able to talk me out of using my stinking thinking a lot of times and evaluate my situations from another perspective, which helped me get away from the parts of me that contribute to relapse.

If it wasn't for this amazing program and facility I wouldn't be here today. It's been almost two years since I first walked through the doors of BRC. I would first and foremost like to say that if it wasn't for the staff for taking genuine interest and concern for my overall being and seeing past my physical appearance that I was struggling with something much deeper than I wouldn't have stayed. I see some negative comments and believe me I had some when I first got to Austin, TX. But, sitting here clean and sober almost 2 years later I will admit that if it wasn't for this knowledge that was given to me by this program, I probably wouldn't be who I am today. I've come to my own realization that your addiction will convince your brain of anything to keep you living in the darkness. It will tell you that you aren't and addict or that because you look different that you aren't an addict. I'm currently still working on underlying problems that led me down the road of addiction and using them to help build my strength to continue this journey of recovery. If it wasn't for BRC I would still be a lost 29-year-old mother of 6 beautiful children and I wouldn't know that a healthy relationship looks like or that firm boundaries with unhealthy people are okay. I walk in a new light thanks to this place and the people that make this program possible. One day my children will also thank them for giving them their mom back! No words can ever express the gratitude that I have for BRC. Please have an open mind when going into this program because I promise it will all be worth it. The program is strict but our addiction are even darker.

Our experience with Alpha has been nothing short of transformative for my 15-year-old son. When we first sought help following my son's overdose, I was overwhelmed with concern and uncertainty. But from the very first phone call, the staff made us feel supported and heard. The intake process was smooth, and they took the time to carefully explain every step of the program, ensuring we were fully informed and comfortable moving forward. The team of counselors, therapists, and support staff is exceptional. They truly understand the challenges young people face and have a unique ability to connect with teens in a compassionate and non-judgmental way. My son has made incredible progress, thanks to their individualized approach that takes into account not only the addiction itself, but also the emotional, psychological, and social factors that contribute to it. What stands out most about this center is their holistic approach. They don’t just treat the addiction—they work on building self-esteem, coping strategies, and life skills that are crucial for long-term success. The therapists created a safe space for my son to open up, express his feelings, and rebuild trust. It’s clear that the staff genuinely care about the well-being of their patients and their families. The outpatient program was tailored to my son's needs, allowing us to balance treatment with school and other activities. The center also encourages family involvement and offers parental support and therapy, which has been crucial for my understanding and support of my son's recovery journey. The progress I've seen in my teenager over the past few months is remarkable. Not only has he shown an improved attitude toward his recovery, but I've also noticed a significant positive shift in his overall mood and outlook on life. We are beyond grateful to Alpha for giving our family hope and helping my teenager reclaim his future. If you're looking for a compassionate, professional, and effective treatment program for a young person struggling with addiction, I wholeheartedly recommend Alpha 180. The Fullbrook Center is an addiction treatment center for women that’s located in the city of Fredericksburg, Texas. ** A REAL REVIEW FROM SOMEONE WHO DID 90 DAYS AT FULLBROOK ** I came to Fullbrook at one of the lowest points in my life. I was angry, hopeless, and determined to do things “my way” — even though my way had landed me in rehab. What I’ve learned since then is that recovery requires accountability, honesty, and surrender. Fullbrook gave me those tools, but it was up to me to use them. Is Fullbrook perfect? No, because no treatment center can be. The staff are human — they get overwhelmed, have bad days, and make mistakes. But what mattered most to me was that when mistakes happened, they took accountability. I had a staff member once be short with me, but she came back, apologized, sat with me, and stayed past her shift just to help me. That showed me more about humility and real care than perfection ever could. A lot of the negative reviews I see come from women who didn’t want to surrender to the program or who were upset about being held accountable. Fullbrook isn’t a place where your feelings are coddled or where staff will co-sign destructive behaviors. It’s a place where you’re told the truth, even when it’s uncomfortable. And in recovery, that’s exactly what we need to hear. Some points I’ve seen repeated in reviews: Phone Policy: It’s hard at first. But if I had been able to make calls whenever I wanted in those early days, I would’ve left to get high or burned bridges with my family. That structure saved me from myself. Equine Therapy: When I was there, equine was offered once a week. No, it wasn’t horseback riding (for obvious safety/liability reasons), but it was still meaningful. Every week it was available, but some women simply didn’t want to go because of the heat or personal preference. To say it wasn’t offered is just not true. The 12 Steps & Trauma: The 12 Steps are one tool, not the only one. Fullbrook also gave me trauma-informed therapy, coping skills, and boundaries. Healing isn’t about avoiding triggers — they’ll always exist. It’s about building a toolbox so you can walk through them without using. Two years later, I can say I have a life I never imagined. I’m sober. I’m a mother, wife, and friend who shows up. But let me be clear — Fullbrook didn’t “fix me.” I fixed myself, using the tools, accountability, and structure I was given there. This place won’t do the work for you. But if you’re willing to let go of control, be honest, and try a new way, Fullbrook will absolutely help you learn how to save your own life. #WEDORECOVER

I referred a friend to Fullbrook, as I’ve known the executive staff for many years. Her experience was truly life-changing. The care she received was compassionate, professional, and effective. Despite previous years of struggle, she has remained sober and continues to thrive. Grateful!

"I recently completed a 35-day residency at Fullbrook recovery center, and I can confidently say it was the best decision I've ever made. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed and supported in an environment that understood the complexities of addiction and trauma. The staff at Fullbrook were nothing short of amazing. Their expertise and compassion made all the difference in my recovery journey. The variety of programs offered—ranging from individual therapy sessions, small process groups and group activities—helped me unpack my experiences and develop healthy coping strategies. Over the course of my stay, I experienced profound personal growth. I learned valuable tools to manage my triggers and built a strong support network with fellow residents. The program not only addressed my addiction but also provided a safe space to heal from past traumas. I whole heartedly recommend Fullbrook Recovery Center to anyone seeking help. The compassionate care and comprehensive programs they offer truly changed my life, and I am now on a path to a healthier, happier future." I am now 90 days sober thanks to Fullbrook.

Burning Tree Lodge changed the trajectory of our son's life. Our family's as well. The program and community at Burning Tree have had a incredible impact on our son’s journey to achieving sobriety and maintaining sobriety. The staff provided tools and support to our son and helped him build a foundation for his life. This has been transformational. They are very passionate about their work and created accountability with our son. Their communication was consistent and transparent. The Burning Tree staff was committed to both their clients and their families, and they partner together to make a lasting change. We are beyond grateful for our son’s experience and for the assistance and encouragement our family received through the staff and the family program.

I would just like to thank Recovery Unplugged in Austin, Texas for their amazing Trauma program that they put me through in rehab.. I will be 1 year sober on November 14, 2025. I was heavily addicted to meth and chaos. I am a living testament to the magic in this program. If there is anyone out there who struggles with the crippling cycle of trauma and addiction this program heals. My mind is different. My expectations are different. My self esteem. My confidence... I am no longer broken and confused. I got "Obama care" insurance online about 3 days before I found the program on Google. A week later I drove to Austin, remained in the program for 4.5 months or so. And honestly came back a different person. If you do not have transportation and feel stuck in your crappy life hating the you in your messed up head, they will pick you up from wherever you are and take you to Austin. Free of charge. Dont stay locked in to your trauma and addiction. There is life on the other side. The only hard part is making the decision to go. They allowed me to bring my Husky, Shady, with me. She stayed by my side through every single step. They loved her and cared for us both. Again. My insurance payed for this. I am ok now. A wise woman once told me, "Imagine the life you want.. Now go live it". I am passing this on. Get out. Get better. You ARE worth it.

The Arbor Behavioral Healthcare in the Austin, Texas, area has residential substance abuse treatment programs for men and women over the age of 18. I meant to share this sooner, but life after treatment got busy fast. Looking back now, I’m beyond grateful for my time at The Arbor because it gave me the tools, structure, and support I needed to step back into life with confidence. Reaching out for help wasn’t easy. I felt ashamed for losing the sobriety I had worked hard for, and I didn’t want to admit I needed treatment again. But reaching out to The Arbor was truly the best decision I made for myself. Taylor Anne Ramsey was the first person I connected with, and she met me with nothing but compassion. She never judged me—she just wanted to help. From there, she connected me with Tiffany Tidwell, who immediately made me feel safe and reassured that I was in good hands. That was the moment I knew The Arbor’s treatment would live up to the warmth and energy both Taylor Anne and Tiffany showed me. Within days of arriving, the staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome—it was immediate. Rachel had an incredible way of being both kind and firm, holding us accountable while still showing care. Tamara and Bella were amazing in our one-on-ones, offering thoughtful feedback that pushed me to look within and begin real healing. Mike, my RA, never sugarcoated things, and I honestly appreciated that tough love more than I can explain. Some people stood out not just for what they did, but for the size of their hearts. Jimmie, Miss J, and Miranda were unforgettable. They carried so much love and energy into the program that you couldn’t help but feel lifted up by them. And I can’t leave out the meals—Dom and her kitchen team made food that wasn’t just good, it was made with love. It sounds small, but those meals were such a comfort and part of what made The Arbor feel like home. The programming itself was excellent—structured, engaging, and exactly what I needed at the time. But more than the curriculum, it was the people who made the difference. The staff didn’t just work there; they cared, they showed up, and they created an environment where healing was truly possible. My experience at The Arbor was GREAT. No complaints, and I will recommend it for as long as I can. I walked away with tools, support, and a renewed sense of hope—and that’s something I’ll always carry with me.

I was referred to The Arbor by a close friend who got sober here 5 years ago, and I’m so glad I trusted them. I was turned off to AA before coming here because of the whole God thing. I had gone to other treatment centers before and tried alternative recovery programs, but never cracked open a big book until I got here. I came in through The Arbor’s doors as a husk of a human being. I was miserable in my addiction and miserable the multiple times I tried to get sober on my own. I couldn’t stand to sit in my own skin. I was desperate for a solution - a way out of my suffering. I gave my all to this program and trusted the direction of the staff and reaped the benefits almost immediately. My recovery manager, Mike, changed my life. He loved me when I couldn’t love myself. Never in any of my past treatment experiences have we had someone directly in charge of our recovery program. The recovery managers act as a stand in sponsor while you’re in treatment and hold you accountable for progressing in your step work. This is a true dual diagnosis facility as well. My therapist Gabi was very supportive in my journey here, as I do struggle with co-occurring disorders. EMDR is an option for those with trauma who are staying long term (which I highly recommend if you can). Equine therapy was another asset - I had Danielle and worked with Tilly and gained a whole new set of tools for coping and regulation that I wouldn’t have gained in traditional talk therapy. The psychiatrists and medical team are highly qualified and don’t just push pills for the sake of pushing pills. Every single staff member at The Arbor is committed to helping you grow in your recovery. From the admissions team (shout out Tiffany) to the support staff, this place made me feel like I was in good hands every step of the way. I left with a newfound sense of self worth and direction and confidence in myself to keep working the program. Thank you to The arbor for giving me my life back. I highly recommend this facility for any out there who are still suffering and genuinely want to live a life worth living.

I showed up wrecked from fentanyl, thinking nothing could help. But the program here hit different & helped to cut through the haze. Detox was rough, no lie, but RU & the staff kept me going. Now I’m clean, and for the first time in forever, I am happy.

I came though this program a broken man. I was tired and my life was in shambles. My hurts habits and hang-ups had destroyed every single relationship I've ever had. I was morally, spiritually and physically bankrupt with no hope of a future aside from jail, insanity, or death. I spent the best years of my life hidden in a bottle and substance use to avoid the hurt and hopelessness i was running from. When I walked though the doors of RU they surrounded me and loved me until I could learn to love myself. This Program didn't just solve the my abuse but helped me become a thriving and impactful person in my community and reattached me to my faith. I now host open an open mic once a week for singers and songwriters downtown and volunteer on the worship team once a week. Life is beautiful and hopeful. Thank you Recovery Unplugged
