The care that we received was absolutely the very best that we could get. From the nursing staff, both shifts, to the physical therapist, to the dietary was so good. On march 17,2026 I was a patient at the emergency room for an issue with my throat.From the time i walked up to the registration desk until the time I left I was treated with nothing but professional and kind care and concern. The doctor that day and for the life of me I can't remember his name but he is also the director of the emergency department, especially stands out in my mind for taking the time to explain so much to me going the extra mile for me to make sure I get the care that I need for this issue and just all around being a great person I'd like to thank you if you read this for how you handled me that day I really appreciate it and it will stay with me the rest of my days I'm sure.Bravo Zulu to the staff of the emergency department at the pharmacy Creek veterans hospital

My next step absolutely changed my life for the better!!! I started the program in April and today I have 8 months and 28 days clean and sober….! I can’t find the words to explain the staff…..they were exactly what I needed when I needed and I owe my life to them! I could write pages about my experience with My Next Step; If you want something better in life and an extended family that will walk with you and give you the love and support while holding you accountable; to get you there… then I only recommend MY NEXT STEP! This place saved my life!!! I was going through treatment here and then I unexpectedly moved back to Dallas. I was unable to get into a clinic there for reasons unrelated to WTCR. I relapsed and I knew that I needed to get back to Amarillo and back into "my clinic" here. I did everything I could to try to get me and my dog back to Amarillo. 7 very long months passed and I was desperate and ready to give up when a ride back to Amarillo found me. Me and my dog arrived back in Amarillo around 2 am. We had no place to go and no one knew that we were coming back. I was there when they unlocked the door. I told them of the dreams I'd had about being back here inside this building and how happy I was until I woke up and it had only been a dream. I would be heartbroken and just bawling. I had come to the clinic hoping to get an appointment for intake. I never thought I would be taken in that very moment, yet I was. I thank God for these people each and every day!!! I have met and made friends with some of the most amazing people!!! I have had my hopes restored! If you are in need of help this is the best place to begin. Everyone here whether it's staff or client is happy to offer encouragement. This place saved not only my life but untold countless other lives as well.

Went to the EMERGENCY Department via ambulance. The staff at the hospital was very kind and listened to my concerns and I was out in less than 3 hours. The only “issue” I had with the whole process was the doctor on duty had an attitude. He did not have compassion for me. I went in thinking I was having a stroke and he acted like I was a drug seeker.. which is not the case at all.

Only had to deal with Urology, the Registration Desk, the Lab, Radiology, and Surgery, but they are the best! Such caring people, very professional, very friendly and always transparent about what is happening now and why, and what is happening next. There are two closer hospitals, both half the distance, but I will make the drive to Elk City and GPRMC every time if able.

I am from abilene and had to go to here because the earliest any local dermatologist would see me was in 2 months time and that was too long. I had a medical emergency and I needed someone right away and so they brought me to lubbock. I am very pleased with their care. They wasted no time and saw me right away. The entire staff was very friendly. My dermatology team are very friendly, communicate well, and are very prompt about calling me back. I couldn't ask for better care. I could have found someone here locally after my medical emergency, but I trust them and I wont see anyone else.

I can’t describe how good this place is, fire sky is one of the best recovery centers in Lubbock. The staff there actually care about you. They don’t treat you like a number, this places creates miracles. I have never seen a recovery center like this place. This place is different from all the other recovery centers in Lubbock . The staff and the owners are amazing people, And their classes are very well taught. An individual Therapy sessions are amazing as well. If you really want to change, this is the place to go with whatever addiction, They are there to help you. I came in broken, And they helped me in so many Ways to help me pick my head back up. This place has literally saved my life. If it wasn’t for the owners and for the staff, honestly don’t think I would be here. Like I said before this place creates miracles. This program played a critical role in supporting my sobriety. I began my recovery journey in the inpatient program at Valley Hope, and after completing that phase, I transitioned directly into their outpatient services in Oklahoma City. The outpatient program offers two formats—online and in-person—and I chose the in-person option because of the structure and connection it provides. Throughout my participation, I developed meaningful relationships with fellow patients and benefited greatly from individualized counseling sessions. These one-on-one meetings were especially impactful, offering personalized guidance, accountability, and a safe space to process challenges. The group environment also fosters peer support, encourages personal responsibility, and helps individuals stay focused on their recovery goals. I genuinely believe that the outpatient program was essential to maintaining my sobriety. The support, education, and community it provides make a significant difference, and I cannot overstate how valuable the experience has been. For anyone struggling with substance use, I strongly recommend considering this program as a resource for long-term recovery.
