I have been to rehabs numerous times before coming to Kemah Palms. I can’t express how wonderful and helpful all the staff have been. Hands down the best detox/inaptient experience I’ve ever had. I am leaving here today with an abundance of self esteem, stability, and joy. I feel confident and ready to face whatever may come my way. Great environment. Very 12 step and spiritually focused. This helps because it addresses the issues beyond the basic mental and physical necessities. Staff is very accommodating at every possible opportunity and they’re are focused on creating a better environment/program 24/7.

I enjoyed my time all the way from detox to the big house and the process of my discharge plan. They have met every need I expressed & have gone above and beyond with helping me achieve the long term sobriety I'm striving for. I had a really bad blow up last day and very loud and disrespectful to all the staff that approached me. I'm really sorry and impressed with the staff because I don't know if could have the same restraint they showed me and my foul mouth.The staff was without a doubt the best I've encountered. I've this time in treatment than I ever have in those resort type facilities. Thanks for a special and extremely educational experience.

I cannot recommend The Right Step enough! I stayed here from medical detox all the way through residential discharge, and they have been with me through thick and thin. The detox process was safe and as comfortable as possible. The counselors and staff truly care about your recovery and teach you the life skills you need. I would like to personally thank all of the staff at BARC for the amazing support during my Son's recovery. I dropped my Son off back in December of 2025 with the biggest fear in my life of losing my Son to alcohol addiction. From the initial contact over the phone with Billy to the moment we arrived the staff was completely helpful. The staff here truly care about each individual and go above and beyond to help with recovering from addiction. I did not know what to expect because this our first time , and some of the horror stories you hear from other places, I was scared to leave my Son, but they truly made a huge difference in my Son's recovery, he has now made 8 months sober and is the absolute best version of himself. I give all the thanks to God and to the men of BARC. Even after he completed his 60 days they continued to be the biggest support system he needed. I don’t even know where to begin, because “thank you” doesn’t feel big enough for what this place has done for me. I came here at one of the lowest points in my life, unsure of who I was or if I even had a future worth fighting for. I stayed 45 days, and in that time, something in me completely shifted. This wasn’t just about getting sober—it was about learning how to live again. The staff here didn’t treat me like a number or a problem to fix. They treated me like a human being who mattered. Every single person I encountered—from the counselors to the support staff—showed genuine care, patience, and understanding. They met me exactly where I was, even on my hardest days. The program gave me tools I actually use in real life, not just while I was there. More importantly, it helped me reconnect with something deeper—my sense of purpose, my spirituality, and my will to keep going. What really stands out is the support system. Even after completing the program, I don’t feel alone. That sense of community is so strong that I’ve chosen to stay in the area and continue building my life here. Today, I’m 60 days sober. I had a great experience with them. I had no idea who to turn to when DV happened to me and my daughter. We received counseling & while I was hoping for legal services as well the office is a little disorganized and never heard anything back after following up many times which is why I have 4 stars instead of 5. The Nurses there are absolute ANGELS!! Lois (A nurse there) she is such am amazing lady with a warm and caring heart!!! She is just AMAZING and I love her!! Dina , the nurse who distributes the medication as well as my take home meds, she is so very sweet and Kind!! And of course My Case worker, Moses, is just the sweetest!! I have been going to this particular clinic regularly for about a year now, after we moved back here from Arizona to be close to our family, and Yes, It is the most the most expensive clinic I have been to, But I wouldn't ever think of going anywhere else , strictly because of the wonderful Nurses and caring Case manager! Thank you ladies for always being kind to me, and for always having a smile on your face , and for NEVER judging me!!! I love my PSAC FAMILY!!!!

I couldn’t say enough great things about BARC. House 3 is where my entire life changed and changed for the better. I learned so much about myself, alcoholism / addiction and exactly how it affected me. When you understand “The Stickman” then it all starts making sense. The staff at BARC is amazing. They don’t just talk about alcoholism / addiction that they’ve learned from a book. Everyone there has been there before and knows first hand what they are talking about and teaching. There is not a place on earth I could recommend more highly than BARC for recovery. BARC was where my rebirth happened and if you’re looking for a place to make that change it can be the place of your rebirth as well. 12/16/2025 is my sobriety birthday If you’re rally lucky, when you’re there one of your brothers in the house will know how and like to cook like me. lol 😂

This is my favorite place on earth!! It's where I showed up with nothing and completely hopeless, to being over 2 years free from alcohol and drugs. Unfortunately, dealing with a Family member with issues of Mental Health Issues. My son was released from this facility. Unfortunately, I didn't realize what transpires if they are a adult. I was out of Harms way, but my son was released. I received call from a St.Joeseph hospital because he was released and was treated for exposure, trench feet from rain. If you're relative is mentally I'll try to do Medical Power Of Attorney in front of A Notory. They are delusional, but, You know they need help. Plus, you gotta stay safe. The Mental facility will release them, because they are a adult by law. That's my next step in getting my son help. Without, This document you can't assist them if they are a Adult. Its necessary in determining there help in getting on medication. God, Bless! Good Luck All.🙏
