There is a new doctor at the VA Medical Clinic in Brownwood, and he is amazing! He asked questions and actually listened to my answers. When I asked questions, he answered. He spent time explaining things. I sure hope this is a turning point to upgrade this clinic that has gotten so many bad reviews due to the disrespectful and uncaring attitudes of some of the front line personnel. I actually felt like I was heard and respected. Very good doctor's appointment this year! I am impressed and grateful.

I had the most amazing experience of my life! WWR saved my life in many ways. I tackled multiple addictions and took advantage of every service they offer (which there are many!). The counselors and recovery advocates are incredible. While I now have the tools to go back to the real world, I will miss this place in my soul. I would recommend WWR to anyone needing to face addiction or any other mental challenge.

Words could never express my appreciation for the team at La Hacienda. The buildings are older than I expected, but the love and treatment there is state of the art. The time spent there will put you or your love one on the right track to the life you are seeking. The family program is not easy, but plays a huge role in success. The family support during and after is amazing. It is like an extended family reunion of support each week, where joys are celebrated and those experiencing set backs are supported. I came here for my recovery, and at first I would say that I didnt like it, but that was making excuses for myself. But I stayed and graduated, this place tought me to learn patience and roll with changes that can come up in real life and not have to turn to drugs. I graduated December 30th 2025, was helped into sober living, and am STILL sober. 55 days today! 😁 Who would have thought such a short program could activate such a change??? My recent experience with Cenikor-Austin as a medical detox and residential rehabilitation facility was in fact only a begining, but in the best possible sense. Go here if you are in need of help, empathy, compassion, and care. My experience left me feeling whole and human. Real people who understand real problems and have a real solution. To be completely honest it was my very first stop in my journey to becoming a whole person. I had no previously experience, didn't know what to expect, and was afraid. The staff and medical team never sugar coated things for me;these people have literally been in your shoes. I was treated with dignity and respect but they do have rules, set boundaries, teach you skills to cope with your vices and sometimes call you out when you can't be honest with yourself. When you want help, look no further. They do respect your spiritual beliefs and accept you regardless of what those are. They train you on the 12-step principles of our disease called addiction, but do not shove those ideas down your throat. Allowing me to heal, at my pace was the greatest gift anyone has given me in a very long time. If you are looking for a cure, good luck. If you are looking for re-entry into a life you once had or one that you thought you would never achieve, look no further. Welcome to your new family, My name is Ham and I am an addict.

Our experience with Alpha has been nothing short of transformative for my 15-year-old son. When we first sought help following my son's overdose, I was overwhelmed with concern and uncertainty. But from the very first phone call, the staff made us feel supported and heard. Alpha BH is such a good resource for adult men, as well as adolescent boys and girls who struggle with Substance Use Disorder and Mental Health. I have personally sent around 5 men here, and all have reported back positive feedback about the program, and all say the staff there truly care. Plus, they’re located deep in the heart of Austin!

Basepoint has been everything we needed and I wish I found them sooner! I was scared to call and not be able to afford a stellar program for my kid - but they offered a payment plan that fit my budget and removed that hurdle for me quickly. Please don’t let fear of cost keep you from making an appointment! the day we had our intake appointment I cried happy tears knowing my child was finally somewhere GOOD! They even offer transportation to and from the program which is so helpful! Que is the best driver around! The staff has an amazing way of connecting, getting on their level and truly mapping out their success WITH them and not just FOR them. My child felt very hands on with her healing which made a huge impact. They listened to my concerns and observations at home and helped build a real village for me as we went through this. Courtney was my child’s counselor and we wish we could keep her forever! So many breakthroughs and advances in mindset were achieved by how she conducts her connections. Marleny made handling our ISD so smooth; both she and Courtney helped fight for things we needed upon her return to school. Miss Kim the program specialist always made her look forward to coming in person. Crystal at the front desk was always welcoming, helpful and has the lobby smelling like a 5 star resort! We are sad to leave our new found village but are grateful for where life is headed with bigger dreams, bigger tools and better familial communication than when we enrolled.
