In 2011 I went through treatment twice in one summer. The 1st time I completed it but wasn't committed and was back the next month. The 2nd time I was all in and worked the program to the fullest. I was clean for 12 years. I also had 3 family members who attended the treatment center and were a success. This place was awesome. However, after 12 years, I recently had a 2 yr relapse and decided I needed help. I knew the place to go. The only problem is I called and called and called and any number I could find apparently was not Summer Sky or it appeared it no longer existed (even through Facebook). This was so disappointing. I chose a different place closer to home and left early during the detox phase because I needed the structure that Summer Sky provided at that time. Not sure what is going on but if there is a next time for me, I sure hope there is a better way to contact them.

This place saved my life.. Amber, Ms Julie, nurse Ms Kristy, and Ms Nadine etc where a big help and important part of my recovery they toke awesome care of me and made me feel right at home while during my stay of 69 days. All glory to God.. Amazing place, Amazing atmosphere, Amazing staff ,Amazing recovery. Special thanks to them all at touchstone ranch and can’t forget my amazing family/ clients that were and are still there. I love you all greatly!!! ❤️ If you or a loved one is struggling or just in need of help/ life changing blessings, please don’t hesitate to reach out. God Bless Amen 🙏🏾 and o yeah they do have a place you go to where you get to do therapy with the horses as the teach you how to ride. I had a blast as I now know how to control/ care for and ride a horse 🐎 on my own!!! HOPE gives you the tools to understand your addiction. It works if you work it, and it won’t if you don’t. Many years ago it worked for me. If you see a bad review on here, what you’re really seeing is a bitter addict unwilling to be honest with themselves and do the work.

My testimony of what Freedom House has done in my life is something I will carry with me forever. When I walked through their doors, I was broken in ways I didn’t even have words for. I was grieving, physically weak, emotionally drained, and spiritually empty. One of the darkest moments of my life was when I miscarried and ended up in the hospital. It was a time when I felt alone, confused, and shattered. But I was not alone. Freedom House was there. They showed up. They sat with me in the hospital. They prayed for me. They made sure I had what I needed. In a moment when I felt like everything had been taken from me, their presence reminded me that I had not been forgotten. When I was sick and couldn’t care for myself, they cared for me. When I didn’t have strength, they stood in the gap. Everything I asked for—whether it was something physical, emotional, or spiritual—they did their best to provide. They made sure I had food. They made sure I had support. They made sure I felt seen. They didn’t just say they cared; they proved it through action. During the hardest season of my life, when I questioned my worth and struggled to see a future, they believed in me. They encouraged me when I couldn’t encourage myself. They reminded me that my story wasn’t over. They helped me rebuild step by step. Because of their guidance and support, I was able to get a job and begin standing on my own again. That wasn’t just employment—it was dignity. It was hope. It was proof that I could move forward. Freedom House didn’t just help me survive; they helped restore me. They gave me stability when my world felt unstable. They gave me compassion when I felt ashamed. They gave me love when I felt unlovable. Through them, I experienced what true community looks like—people who show up consistently, who don’t judge your past, and who fight for your future. Because of Freedom House, I now know that good people are real. Genuine love is real. Selfless service is real. They were the hands and feet of God in my life during a time when I desperately needed saving—not just physically, but emotionally and spiritually. Today, I am stronger. I am healing. I have hope again. And a huge part of that is because Freedom House chose to walk with me through my darkest valley instead of leaving me there. I will forever be grateful for the restoration, the compassion, and the unwavering support they gave me when I needed it most.

I have been in the DARKEST place for so long. Symetria was my saving grace. My counselor Callie (my saving grace) showed me that I actually really do matter and gave me a sense of belonging for the FIRST time in my life! She truly cares and has helped me in so many ways that I can't thank her enough. If it weren't for her, I'm not sure where I'd be in life right now without her. Ms Callie, if you see this, thank you again. To all of the concerned mothers/fathers out there, I promise you, this is the best methadone clinic in the United States. I use to go to denton clinic last year and even years ago and I was honestly struggling very hard to keep up with payments and Im not here to bash... I blame myself for not communicating better. At the time I was forced to leave my denton home and stay with family in the colony and had to drive every day Mon thru Fri to denton. I finally tried looking for some place closer and thank the Lord He led me here. I called and they asked about insurance which I gave all my info about. I seriously had doubts that it would be of any help. Years ago methadone wasnt covered easily by insurance... But they made my day when they told me yep they take my insurance which is through marketplace. AND I would not have to pay anything out of pocket!! I was singing and dancing. Been here ever since. Even when I messed up and missed open enrollment, they still worked with me without insurance... i was so worried but everyone reassured me that they would find a way to help me here and they did. Everyone is SO NICE also. Love it here.

I absolutely love this place from the front staff all the way to the back staff. Everybody is so amazing and so kind. The office manager helped me find a location where I could get my dose since I missed it on Saturday and I was so grateful for him to reach out because I finally got my dose I needed Because THEY CARE! I recommend this place to anybody struggling with opioid Use disorder or pain. Don’t be afraid to pick up the phone and call. Everybody is so nice and you’ll be taken care of🖤

I would LOVE to recognize the phenomenal team that support me. Dr. Gregory, Dr. Castello, Landen, and Deshuna. As a recovery professional, I’m very intentional about where I refer my clients. I recently referred a client with substance use disorder , significant trauma and co-occurring mental health concerns to Santé Center for Healing, and I couldn’t have been more pleased with the care she received. What stood out most was that her treatment never felt like a cookie-cutter program. The team took the time to understand her unique needs and developed an individualized treatment plan that addressed the whole person. They also did an exceptional job involving her family throughout the treatment process, providing education, support, and meaningful opportunities for healing together. Discovery Point Retreat is an excellent facility. I am the custodian of a friend who is in recovery and went here and saw the way they treat the clients is always very friendly, its like you are a part of their own family, especially the RC from Brooklyn, he was a real savior. In the 33 days I spent there I was given time to medically detox, fed delicious and nutritious food, taught the nature of my addiction in scientific terms, given one on one therapy, given the option to attend wellness activities such as yoga and was provided time with a personal trainer to work on regaining my strength. We enjoyed the on facility pool, team building exercises with the other residents and even had movie time once a week. I also was able to take advantage of a virtual reality session that prepared me for being exposed to my DOC in a safe environment and allowed me a one on one session with an expert trained in exposure therapy. This allowed me to see how physiologically my body will respond to triggers and therefore gave me much better ability to prepare for returning to my life outside of the center. The residental staff is caring, compassionate and friendly. The therapists were knowledgeable, present and available when I needed them. The 12 step team taught a comprehensive program that broke down the literature in a way that was easy to grasp. The kitchen staff provided fantastic meals. The rooms were kept clean daily and provided me with my own private balcony-a beautiful place to begin and end my days, reflecting on the many thoughts that addicts ponder during treatment. I look forward to continuing my treatment there with the PHP program and intend to complete my IOP at this location as well. I was given such great care that I wanted to ensure continuity of treatment throughout all the steps of my treatment program. Highly recommend to anyone who's ready to change their life.
