Have used the Victoria Clinic for over 25 years and overall the clinic has been really notable. I’m about as screwed up as anyone you can think of. Their psychiatric service has monitored me and recognize when I am in distress and need a med change. Don’t get me wrong, I am not “normal” but I am a world away from what I was before the VA. The medical staff are very aware when I need help or go in for a for a specific reason or need. No not everything goes perfect but they try.

Friendly helpful staff. Comfortable atmosphere. Make u relax with their familiarity as you get to know each other. Fabulous support system!! Lots of different options for many different topics. Help is just a step or call away. Walk in intake. Transportation help to and from appointments for Dr, meds, assessments, paperwork, community reference lists. So helpful!! They really listen and communicate. So many possibilities for help with your mental health which is so important!!

I had an amazing experience at detar North they delivered all 3 of my babies who were NICU babies and c sectons and are looking after my 3rd in the NICU right now my first I had eclampsia and came in seizing they literally saved my life I was 16 years old and had a chance of dying so young if it weren't for them when my first son passed due to complications of being so young the NICU nurses cried with me and held me they honored him with a memory box and casts of his hands and feet they've let me room in with all 3 of my babies and have reassured me since my first one passed, I had panic attacks and I had post partum depression with my second son my nurses came in my room and sat with me on the floor and cried with me and comforted me I wouldn't go anywhere else I love detarđź©·

I have lower lumbar stress, the doctors, nurses and staff were excellent. I was pleased and grateful for the service I received. As an OTR truck driver it can be difficult to get good medical treatment while on the road. It was very clean and quite. I checked very quickly, saw a nurse moments later, and the doctor shortly there after. Due to my injury not much could be done, however they managed my pain very well and it is a pharmacy right down the hallway. All an all I was grateful; now I just need to rest and hopefully, I will recover soon. Thank you DeTar Hospital....

The staff is incredibly friendly, helpful and professional. When I say staff, I mean EVERYONE. From the techs, to the medical staff, to the housekeeping(they do your laundry), to the groundskeepers, counselors, everybody. This is world-class, luxury, top-tier care. If you want to do it right and you believe that you get what you pay for, this is the place for you. I'm a current resident who has been here for just over a week and am already planning to extend my stay another 30 days.

It’s hard to put into words the amount of gratitude I feel for Robert Kidd & “the Room” @ Positive Recovery, but I will give it my best shot. After finding myself at an ultimate low & loosing nearly everything that ever mattered to me in life, I found myself sitting in what we call “the room”. Robert asked me a question that I had no idea wld be the start of a new & beautiful journey…. “Who is Kat?” Take away the kids, the marriage, the job, etc…most of which I had lost at that point anyway - who was I, at my core? I had absolutely no idea - but thankfully, I had a willingness & a safe place to find out. Thru some really challenging assignments & sitting in the room w/ others who were willing to open up & share things we probably wldn’t otherwise talk about…I found myself doing the same. In doing so, I have been able to let go of things I didn’t even realize I had been holding onto & have rediscovered who I AM. It’s a special room & To say that I’m grateful is a serious understatement. Everyday is a gift 🙏 I realize that more today than ever. #soberaf #onedayatatime

There are plenty of IOP programs around, but the people at this center, especially Robert Kidd, are on a whole different level. Before coming to PRC in San Marcos, I had been through three treatment centers and several Intensive Outpatient Programs, with my life in complete disarray. But everything changed when I met Robert. When you show up at an IOP, it’s not on your best day—it’s one of the lowest. My family had given up on me, and I didn’t have anyone to help me sort through the wreckage of my life and guide me forward. I felt hopeless, like rebuilding my life wasn’t possible. Robert took me in at my lowest point, and I’ll never forget what he said after going through the intake process. He looked at me—a 28-year-old man, fresh out of my second rehab, with a newborn child—and smiled. “Hey Bud, we’re going to get through this. And I don’t just mean maintain—I mean thrive. I have high hopes for you, John.” It had been a long time since someone believed in me. Robert became the father figure I needed when mine had stopped speaking to me. From that moment, I gave everything I had to getting clean. I had never stayed clean and sober for more than 12 days, but Robert's belief in me made me want to succeed. It wasn’t the money spent on rehab or the numerous counselors and medications that made the difference—it was Robert’s belief in me. He didn’t just let me slip away when I missed a group session; he would reach out, encourage me, and motivate me to keep going. This is one of the Best Recovery Centers that I have ever been to. Everything about this place has been above and beyond! I'm a pretty demanding human being and a bit hard to deal with and with class and grace every single staff member has been wonderful, professional, and done an outstanding job, to make sure my needs and my road to recovery has been meet to the best of their abilities!
