I have never dealt with a more uninterested PCP. She said “eh your kidneys are ok” and wouldn’t address any issues promptly. I also asked to be referred to a psychologist but they said my PCP has to give me medication then if those don’t work a psychologist can give me different meds. I highly doubt my PCP is a qualified psychologist and even is she is she DOES NOT KNOW ME so how would she know what to prescribe???? I wanted to see a a psychologist on a regular basis like I did two years ago with no issues with a referral from my PCP but they said no can’t do that. Only good thing I can say is the lady in the front who set my appointment (Dora i think was her name) and checked me in was very sweet and I hope she getting paid well for dealing with these PCPs and their nonsense

I always receive such great care here, from the front desk staff, to the lab techs and nurses to my doctor. Everyone is so helpful, professional and you can tell they truly care about their patients. They have excellent online communication via the patient messaging portal, too.

For free health care, I don’t know why I complain. Probably because I'm a salty lil Karen who can barely get out of bed and when I do; I'm mad 😂 I've been to several VAs and Shavano typically completes everything I ask for help with, even if it takes forever. And I really like Dr K.
Overall with VA healthcare, or pretty much anything nowdays; being direct and asking for what you need WITH UNLIMITED PATIENCE gets the best results.

I've been seeing my Shavano Park team since October, and I like the location and staff. Dr K is great. Today there was some hub-bub with the fire department and I was forgotten about in the waiting room and ended up having to be there a few extra hours😂 The pros to this was the waiting room was comfortable, the staff was funny and I got to get halfway through my new library book. The only suggestion I would make would be maybe some feng shui (zen water fountain and tranquil pictures perhaps?) and coffee station/healthy snacks for the waiting room.

My first time in this facility. Very well organized in the Lab blood draw area. The number system is very effective. The pace was fast. I was number 30th in line. The staff took 25 minutes to get me in the chair. The staff is very knowledgeable and attentive to the patient. Thanks for all you are doing for the veterans.

I went to alumni last week to get my 1 year sobriety coin and it was my first visit in about 6 months, and what a total disappointment this has become !
Only 2 people spoke the entire time, not even asking if anyone else would like to share, which I had planned on doing, and I'm not joking when I say that both of their speeches was reminiscing about how much fun they had when they were on drugs or alcohol.
The meeting ran over by almost 30 minutes because both of them took so long, and to make it even worse, they didn't even have any 1 year sobriety coins !!

It was a wonderful recovery place when I attended, now it's a JOKE !
Waste of my time, never going back!
I feel sorry for the inpatient people that were there because that alumni meeting did absolutely nothing to help them !

This place had its days, sure, but I know they tried their best. Like when I got EPS, the nurses immediately started getting help and calling the doctor, they knew what was wrong and got me help for it. Ive been here (Clarity) multiple times, and the staff are amazing, especially Jewels, Elijah, and the rec therapists. I haven't been here in awhile, but I would feel safe going here again if needed, if it came down to that. The doctor i had, Reeves, was absolutely amazing and I loved how much he cares for his patients, including the ones marked as "difficult".
Overall, this place was great. Definitely better than San Antonio Behavioral.

I used to go here a lot as a kid! They were so sweet. I came from a very bad background both behaviorally on my end and from my homelife and when my parents refused to come visit me or bring me much needed clothes, the doctors and nurses took good care of me.

I am deeply disturbed about the promises made and broken by La Hacienda. My daughter was approved for treatment months prior to the date she needed admission but at the last minute, money was the critical key in declining her admission. It seems those with good insurance like my daughter are heartlessly tossed aside by cash customers. After reading the other reviews, I concur that this treatment center is focused on money and not healing. I am reporting La Hacienda to JCAHO, NAATP, SAMHSN and the state licensing board about the hoax perpetrated by this facility. A twelve step program should not be about putting patients on MORE drugs but rather teaching healthy coping skills for lifelong sobriety without drugs. Sadly, La Hacienda has a heartless focus on the money brought in by patients. Shame on La Hacienda!

I had the most amazing experience of my life! WWR saved my life in many ways. I tackled multiple addictions and took advantage of every service they offer (which there are many!). The counselors and recovery advocates are incredible. While I now have the tools to go back to the real world, I will miss this place in my soul. I would recommend WWR to anyone needing to face addiction or any other mental challenge.

Windmill is set amongst a beautiful scenery of trees and deers, that enables peace of mind and a healing quietness for the spirit. This serene atmosphere grows and shines in the people living there and the ones there providing us support through their smiles and patient caring for each other. I was able to learn again what it felt like to be human, sane, and a part of something. Fellowship being the heart of the strength built, I walked away with a community that stands as an army ready to fight together. You will be empowered. It works if you work it.
