I just have to boast about Danny with A Better Boat Transportation. He s the angel that came all the way to my house +4 hours away to get me to Ripple Ranch. Danny is nothing short of phenomenal. He made my ride to Ripple Ranch Recovery so extremely comfortable and pleasant. He definitely eased my anxiety. Danny s communication skills are very spot on and he made me feel very comfortable. Danny is a very safe and alert driver. He was very easy to relate to and I truly appreciate him. He s a bright light in this world and a true gem. I d recommend A Better Boat Transportation to anybody! I m currently about two and a half hours from Ripple Ranch and I absolutely can not wait to get to my fresh start . There's one place on earth that I'm sincerely and honestly grateful for and that's Ripple Ranch. Coming from a man who abused drugs for over 40 yrs and I'm only 56 suddenly got tired of all the things that were slowly tearing me apart and killing me physically from my appearance to my health and seeing the scary man I was becoming made me run to God and ask for forgiveness and to truly save me cause I do want to live and wanted me family and real friend's back but most of all serve my purpose here on earth doing his will and that's when God prepared a place for me beginning at Ripple Ranch and thru that opportunity I have begun to gain access to all the important factors in life I was mistreating and taking for granted. After graduating with God leading me throughout all my days, I can genuinely say that this place cares for each and every individual that arrives for help and change and the awesome techs that work there wholeheartedly somehow pour a little extra concern into those who second guess or have hidden reservations that arise throughout there stay, and with the community (all the clients present) makes a bigger difference showing all the daily love they have for one another is just the reason that kept me involved and willing to be part of the solution and escape the real problem and for that I appreciate Ripple Ranch for giving me the chance and help me become the sober man I am today and I give all glory to God.

SARC saved my life. My life had become unmanageable and was spiraling out of control. I was still working my full time successful career, but it was only a matter of time before I could have lost everything I ve spent my life building. Tired of waking up with a black box of wine on my nightstand I threw lord knows what into my suitcase and checked into Cagnon for 38 days. For a girl accustomed to being in complete control I was petrified. I was a mess. The staff was so welcoming and walked me through the process. Was I ready to take 12 weeks off of work? It was life or death and I chose life. The detox process was tough. Reba and Alan made me as comfortable as I could be. I had sweats and nightmares. Roy, a lead counselor calmed me down. My job for 5 days was sleep, hydrate and rest. Gen the program Director Is fabulous. She kept assuring me trust in the process. Allow myself time to heal, grieve and let someone take care of me for once. The days are very structured with wellness, nutrition, groups, education, counseling. Nutrition and routine and self discipline are key. We have one job while in treatment. Show up!! It s impossible not to learn, grow and learn valuable tools and coping skills to set you up for a lifetime of sobriety. All counselors know your name and your case. They are always available to lend an ear and advice. The center is staffed with people in long term recovery. Richard, Steven, Blake, Jess, Mandy Jo all have real life experience , Every night there is an AA meeting and fellow patients can meet in groups to do book study, talk and truly become a recovery family. This is a private facility that works with many insurance companies and helps people who need to make arrangements for private pay. The setting is serene and a wonderful place to heal. Gen, Roy and Paula are true experts in their field. Each with their own individual techniques and special touches to group sessions. I am for ever indebted to the techs, counselors and Karen and Raul Ruelas for their relentless passion in fighting for those struggling with substance abuse disorder to live a long happy life free of drugs and alcohol. World class facility. Amazing caring people who pour their heart and sole into what they do. I got something to say about this place and the people who work it, they save lives and change lives! I m one that has experienced that recovery is possible. Like others before me, I walked into this treatment center lost, broken, and unable to manage my life. I WANTED TO CHANGE MY LIFE. I NEEDED CHANGE SO I ASKED FOR HELP! After 3 visits in 2 years, SARC gave me the tools and taught me how to use them to get my life on track. I am very grateful to the staff that run the center. They have the power and skills to work miracles if you want it. I walked out a man reborn! Hell, I didn t wanna leave. Great food. Yummy. For free health care, I don t know why I complain. Probably because I'm a salty lil Karen who can barely get out of bed and when I do; I'm mad I've been to several VAs and Shavano typically completes everything I ask for help with, even if it takes forever. And I really like Dr K.Overall with VA healthcare, or pretty much anything nowdays; being direct and asking for what you need WITH UNLIMITED PATIENCE gets the best results.***ORIGINAL POST***I've been seeing my Shavano Park team since October, and I like the location and staff. Dr K is great. Today there was some hub-bub with the fire department and I was forgotten about in the waiting room and ended up having to be there a few extra hours The pros to this was the waiting room was comfortable, the staff was funny and I got to get halfway through my new library book. The only suggestion I would make would be maybe some feng shui (zen water fountain and tranquil pictures perhaps?) and coffee station/healthy snacks for the waiting room. Where there s a smile, luck arrives.

I left this location to go to one that was a little closer to where I live. Big mistake. I never had a problem there. The staff are kind and my Doctor was the best in the world. Dr.Lin. She even came and seen me when I was in the hospital. Which is something that they just don't do. I miss that place.

Before enrolling into the program, I was living in mental horror. I was grieving the loss of my father but the problem was I didn t know how to properly do so. I first went to the in patient 30 day facility in Spicewood TX and that place was phenomenal!! They give you everything you need to be successful once out in the real world. I am now in Steve s IOP class and actually look forward to every meeting. There is so much to learn and he has the knowledge to teach it for sure. This was an amazing experience. The staff is incredibly welcoming and understanding. The counselor (Steve) is one of the most knowledgeable and sincere people I've ever had the privilege to meet and learn from. He welcomes all who are willing to put in the work to improve their lives and help others do the same. This is a safe and judgment-free environment that will not only help you and your loved ones understand the daily struggles of addiction, but will also teach you to understand and appreciate those around you in your day-to-day life. I recommend this class to anyone who is looking for help.

I ll never stop giving this place it s do credit. I ve been to many different clinics. Many of them were in nicer areas than this one. Some of them had counselors with more education, who made more money, with patients who are in a higher income bracket, and, maybe even a nicer accommodations. But I have never been treated with more respect. I have never been supported in my sobriety, the same way, I have never experienced counselors who go out of their way as much. I have never experienced a Director who tries as hard as the Director does here. Even the Doctor Who the last I heard, was here two days a week for two hours each day, would always greet me by miss and my last name. They go into their own pocket to buy things to make the patients here more comfortable knowing that they ll never see any praise from him more than likely and that a lot of times people will still take out their frustrations on them. Methadone isn t a perfect answer for everybody. It may not be the right answer for you. But if you re tired of the life, and you re willing to try, and you want to make it work, this place really could be your saving grace don t judge a book by its cover. Every clinic has their issues. The patients here may seem a little more rough around the edges, but I promise you there s a lot of compassion to be shared here and there s always someone to talk to you if you re waiting in line.

I'm so grateful to the staff of medmark treatment center, at the military Dr. location. They are supportive, and encouraging to your recovery, and extremely compassionate and non judgemental. Dr Carreras treat's each patient according to their specific needs and issues, working closely with your counceler. He understands that everyone is different, and treats you as an individual. And our nurse, Jaime Duran is absolutely amazing! Many times she's had to take care of us ALL, because of either weather, or health issues during this covid pandemic. She has never called in and left her patients in a bad bind. She's always rolled up her sleeves, and dosed everyone, by herself, with a beautiful and caring smile on her face! First and foremost I want to say I would give SOBA a million stars if I could. Many leave false reviews and I witnessed this multiple times.Addicts know how to manipulate and are the best of the best at doing so.SOBA has rules in place for 100% success and 100% safety for all in treatment.If you violated the rules you must be terminated to keep it a safe environment for all of us that want to heal.If a client is discharged at the fault of their own actions the first thing I heard multiple times is I am going to leave a bad review.Thank you SOBA for taking a false bad review and keeping this a safe place to recover.Sadly to say we are a family of 8 (YES 8) that reside in Michigan and have recovered out of state only because of SOBA.We all have years of sobriety due to the highest standards SOBA has set to teach you a beautiful new way instead of using mind altering substances.I was petrified at age 45 to enter a treatment center and I had an extremely bad attitude when I arrived!I was determined to find something wrong with SOBA so I could have a reason to leave.SOBA is different than the other treatment centers we tried multiple times in Michigan. We all failed on numerous attempts.SOBA is loving, kind, knowledgeable, safe and a peaceful place to recover.SOBA far exceed my expectations and I stayed in treatment for 16 months.Our children (3) stayed in treatment for 2 years. My sister and nephews also recovered at SOBA with a lengthy stay in sober living.It is so important to reside in sober living after inpatient and do the work. Leaving treatment early will end in failure.If it were not for SOBA I can honestly say several of us would not be alive today.

I went through hell and back when I got diverticulitis- I needed my colon removed I m a 44 yr old female and it was in the middle of when no surgeries could be performed because they could not sterilize equipment properly. The Chief of Surgey - Dr Markell was with me though drains (multiple) - 3 inpatient stays and a year of waiting to schedule this surgery NOW- I don t like that I live in military city and I had to suffer for a year when we re surrounded by hospitals.. but had it not been for the VA staff and answering my many messages about all the pain or issues- and being there every second of the way including all 2W nurses who are used to having older male patients but did so fabulous with me! That s long but know this- it may be called the VA but those people At Audie Murphy are top NOTCH- and I m also seen in rheumatology regularly and the eye doctor. All amazing for the last 15 years!

Blue Heron was absolutely the best place for me with my alcohol addiction.I have been sober since September 26th, so 109 days. The staff is caring, helpful and offer so much love and concern for their clients. Christine and her husband, Dr. Maher, are the owners, and they have made this facility so welcoming. They are personally involved with their clients. The property is quiet, sereen and beautiful. The counselors spend a lot of time in the classrooms offering much help and needed advice. Each person is assigned a counselor, in which they meet one-on-one once a week.Everyone is so welcoming and they make you feel at home. I got very close to Lisa, Jim, Heather, Greg, Madelyn, and, of course, Beau, the parrot.I cannot say enough about this rehab facility. I learned a lot and the entire staff truly helped me with my addiction. They will help everyone with any substance addiction. Definitely, a Five Star facility for me.

Blue Heron is on a beautiful and serene piece of property, it s a great option for anyone who is struggling with mental health or substance use. The staff genuinely care about each and every client. I ve personally seen the CEO, Christina, sit down with clients to talk them about what s going on. Heather does a great job of helping clients walk through steps of getting admitted and makes you feel a part of immediately. All around the staff there is the best!

I would highly recommend this clinic. I recently transferred from Kansas City and have currently been attending for the last five months. They ve recently had some staff turnover that was out of their control, causing wait times to be extended. It s very obvious, however, the staff is aware of the issue and are working the problem. Every staff member there is highly motivated to help every patient. My counselor, Belinda, is always on top of any issue, and cares about my well being and sobriety. I ve been reading a lot from other patients who are frustrated with the long wait times. What those patients aren t taking into consideration is it s frustrating because they used to be able to get us in and out within 10 minutes so yes, we ve been spoiled, but having attended other clinics, I can personally attest that many of them have long, long-wait times. it takes time to get new staff trained and up to speed so if we just be patient, I have no doubt that this clinic will get back to shorter times. Even if this doesn t happen, the staff is well worth the wait.

I am very thankful for all the teamwork effort and nurse that does so much for us dosing so many like more than a thousand patients I would say maybe if I'm not too wrong could be more could be less I really don't know but the problem is not the doctors and the program director it's us ourselves we decide to do that to ourselves and they are there to help us pick our self and recover our family recovery comes and everything you lost during your dictionary dictionary know in your addiction we lose so much in addiction so when we come in the clinic we think we're going to fix everything in one day we can't it takes as long as you've been an attic it takes sometimes longer than that but it's not true once an addict always an addict I don't think so I've seen living proof that it's not true 0 mg God bless all the staff and the nurse is there for taking time and patience and caring for us all people who are methadone whatever reason it is it's a reason we're there and no matter what we say or do the only way that can change it is US ourselves the way you got on it is the way you could get off of it and there's a way safely to get on it a safe way to get off of it just ask your counselor doctor and coordinator and nurses ask questions so we won't be in so much high risk God bless you and your family happy holidays to you all new seasons on West commerce God bless you all

I owe my life to the VOA. I came to them, a scared and broken woman. I left armed with the knowledge and coping skills to help me achieve an alcohol-free life. I started out walking to work to do housekeeping at a hotel, and just this past year, was promoted to General Manager. I have yet to touch a drop of alcohol. If you're looking for a place to get clean and you're a vet, you can't ask for a better place to do so. Stellar medical attention, a staff who really cares for your welfare, and excellent living conditions. You're connected to resources in the community who will help with jobs, housing etc. It's a peaceful, safe place. Just follow the rules and you won't have any problems from the staff.

This place has the usual issues, remember when you're coming here, this is the government nothing actually works correctly or the way it should half the time. Try not to focus on that let it go worry about your purpose here. I'd say a small amount of staff you might have conflict with but 99% go out of there way to help you. Covid coming back is making it very challenging to stay focused on what you need to and not on the stuff you can't control. Remember have an open mind take what is good for you and leave the rest but remember they've been doing this some of them a long time make sure you listen with an open mind and especially the people who have been addicts they have good advice.

I came into this place broken and ready to give up entirely and never thought I d see such love and compassion with no judgment whatsoever coming from the doctor who does subscription i was her last patient and went over my time and she never made me feel like a burden to her infact went out if her way to listen and validate my feelings and she was like a drink of water after a hot day last comment was her asking me to give her a chance to help me and get stable seeing my desperation and standing by my side . I said if the only reason Is to come back and see her again ( way to carry the torch of Love and Grace) that is who showed me the true love of Christ today it may have saved my life today and thank you!!

I went to alumni last week to get my 1 year sobriety coin and it was my first visit in about 6 months, and what a total disappointment this has become !Only 2 people spoke the entire time, not even asking if anyone else would like to share, which I had planned on doing, and I'm not joking when I say that both of their speeches was reminiscing about how much fun they had when they were on drugs or alcohol.The meeting ran over by almost 30 minutes because both of them took so long, and to make it even worse, they didn't even have any 1 year sobriety coins !!Bring Priscilla back !It was a wonderful recovery place when I attended, now it's a JOKE !Waste of my time, never going back!I feel sorry for the inpatient people that were there because that alumni meeting did absolutely nothing to help them !

It all started at SARC! 2 yrs ago i reached out to the San Antonio Recovery Center to help my relative with an addiction problem. The website talked about detox & rehab programs I didn t know the difference but I quickly learned we needed both! I also learned it takes a village to help a love one manage their addition: medical team, the member, and their support system (family & friends). My brother completed both detox and a 90 day rehab. I would like to say he was cured but it takes commitment and perseverance. Today my relative is living his best life over 1 year drug free, and it all started at SARC!If you or someone you know is battling with addiction problems, please pick up the phone and commit to the SARC.
