About Center for Rational Living

The CARF accredited Center for Rational Living in Clearwater, Florida, has been treating substance use disorder since 1973. They are focused on providing individualized treatment to adults in a flexible outpatient setting.

They also work with the drug courts to deliver therapy to the justice involved. This program doesn’t accept insurance. Because of this, they strive to keep their prices low for each client.

Life and Recovery Balance

When you’re in recovery, part of what you learn is how to balance your life to minimize stress with sober living skills. But sometimes, balancing your commitments, like at work or school, with substance use treatment sessions poses a roadblock when you are new to the process.

A major advantage to outpatient clinics like this one is that they don’t require as much time as higher intensity programs. Sessions here are one and a half hours, so they’re easier to fit into a busy schedule.

Recover in a Community

This program may mix individual and group therapy in your treatment plan. The time you spend in group therapy can be valuable, as it connects you to others navigating addiction recovery and their successes. You can learn a lot from what’s shared in sessions and who knows? What you share could help someone else.

This place is HARD at work uncovering the secrets of recovery, single handedly responsible for the success of the drug court system. It's magical, I expect GREAT things, in the work they do for our community and judicial system. If you find something this wonderful you Keep it!!

Extremely rude, hung up on me over the phone. I had my wife call them for me and she got nasty and hung up on her. If you're looking for someone to help you keep looking you're not going to find it here. If I could give them less than one star I would.

Other Forms of Payment

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

Outpatient rehabs encompass multiple levels of care to facilitate clients' progress through their recovery journey. Clients who are stepping down from inpatient treatment may require intensive outpatient (IOP) treatment, which involves more frequent and substantive therapeutic interventions than does standard outpatient care. Outpatient centers typically provide extensive addiction counseling, including individual, group, and family therapy. Medication assisted treatment programs (MAT) and recovery-focused life skills training are also common in outpatient care.

Treatments

In Florida, substance abuse treatment focuses on treating mental health and substance use disorders concurrently to improve recovery outcomes and overall health. Levels of care include medical detox, outpatient, residential treatment, and intensive outpatient programs. Clinicians utilize evidence-based therapies such as dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) or medication-assisted treatment, group therapy, and skills training activities. This comprehensive approach to treatment helps to ensure sustained recovery.

Clinical Services

Rational behavior therapy is used in addiction treatment to teach you to challenge and change irrational beliefs and thought patterns that contribute to substance abuse and addiction. Using cognitive and behavioral techniques, your therapist teaches you to manage negative emotions, reduce your cravings, and maintain your sobriety.
