Hello my name is Adam. I came to Reign about a month ago. I came from NJ and enrolled to the treatment center because I was struggling with some mental health symptoms that were unmanageable with life and needed assistance with getting myself back on track. The admissions team was so helpful and supportive, they were there when I was making my 22 hour drive. Jake, Benzi, Justin, and Morgan were so supportive on my drive. When I arrived at the facility and during the duration of my stay Corey the primary therapist was very friendly and welcoming. He wasn t like normal therapists where you would have your 30 min session and you re out but he gave me as much time as I needed and let me use my phone and make calls as much as I wanted to do. Then there was Brantley the operations manager and he Was just the absolute best. I developed a great friendship with him and every night we had a thing where we watch movies together. Gina was a great group facilitator and had very informative groups. Overall I had an amazing life changing experience,

Sure! Here s the revised review: I cannot say enough about the life-changing care I received at UF Health Florida Recovery Center. After completing an 86-day PHP-level inpatient treatment, I can confidently say this program is second to none in providing comprehensive, compassionate, and evidence-based addiction treatment. From day one, I felt truly supported by a team of dedicated professionals who understood the complexities of addiction, especially as it affects healthcare providers. The multidisciplinary approach including expert medical care, therapy, group work, and therapeutic assignments helped me rebuild my life from the ground up. The structured programming, combined with individualized treatment planning, made all the difference in my recovery journey. The emphasis on long-term sobriety, emotional wellness, and spiritual growth set this program apart. I left not only with the tools to maintain recovery but also with a renewed sense of purpose, confidence, and hope for the future. If you or a loved one is struggling with addiction, I wholeheartedly recommend UF Health Florida Recovery Center. This place saved my life, and I will forever be grateful.

| UF Health Shands Psychiatric Hospital, located in Gainesville, Florida, provides alcohol and drug rehab services, dual diagnosis treatment, and mental health services to children, adolescents, and adults in an age-specific format. Detoxification and inpatient services are available. UF Health Shands Psychiatric Hospital, located in Gainesville, F | Treatments Programs Payment Options | First the positives: Most of the nurses are incredibly nice, caring and accommodating to requests. My therapist Laura, and the weekday Psychiatrists were great! Unlike other reviews, I had multiple people review my concerns about medication and I had many people discuss the options with me and the concerns that I had. Particularly related to the potential long-term brain effects that I had heard research about increasing your risk of Alzheimer's. Ultimately, the decision was to start with a very low dose, which I was welcome to try and discontinued if I had any unpleasant side effects. It was very much a collaborative, non pressured approach to medication. We had two wireless phones available for 7 am to 10 pm and could provide a list of approved callers. In fact, (I witnessed) if you did not have someone on your list, they would not confirm or deny that you were there, but they would make note of that person's call, share that they had called, and would ask the patient if they were interested in adding that person to their list. They, had some games, puzzles. The negatives, and how they were managed: The intake process was very long, I get the impression it's very difficult for them to determine when the "busy time" for intake will be. Your introduction to your "pod" for a lack of a better term, (definitely has prison vibes) was horrible. Getting a "skin check" which was just short of a strip search was logical, but not comfortable. The fact that it was co-ed was immediately off-putting to me, I didn't know the schedule, and I didn't Initially feel safe. A nurse should have come to explain the schedule or provided a welcome pamphlet explaining things. The would have been very helpful. I did have a psychology fellow come speak with me which helped put me at ease. I did not get one second of sleep the first night. The prison type bed was extremely uncomfortable. I was near the nurses station and for whatever reason between the hours of 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. that room was entered or exited at least a hundred times. The loud door was awful. In their defense the kind nurse did offer melatonin but I didn't feel safe so I didn't want it. This caused me to be incredibly anxious, very frustrated, and resistant to opening myself to the process. My door was opened at least 3 times per hour to check on me for safety. I felt a camera would make more sense. However, when I shared my issues, I received a pad for my bed, ear plugs, and melatonin. Then I slept great! I got a lot out of group time, which helped everyone feel more comfortable with each other. The food in one word was "mediocre." I am interested in nutrition so I can definitely say you get plenty of food, and there are some relatively nutritious options but overall it's pretty much hospital food. With a little bit of junk food mixed in. They allow very little outside time which is a bad idea, everyone wanted outside time. The weekend had less scheduled time which left people bored. My therapist managed to scrounge up a note book but many people said the would benefit from journaling. A case manager said she would resolve that issue and agreed saying "we usually have journals." Overall, I think people can choose to get something out of this setting if you understand that most of the things are designed for safety.

Wife really needs to be seen but staff here does not seem responsive. Was refereed here by UF ER and wait times are long with hardly anyone in the lobby. This was a huge contrast between the ER where they were really kind and responsive. I hope the treatment is better than the first impressions and the poor reviews. When asking how long it would take to be indicted was told flat out by lady who didn't speak good English that was not going to be seen until the person the police brought in was treated first as law enforcement always had priority . Mind you she was rude in the way she told her in broken English or maybe that's just how it was perceived.I will update this review as it progresses.Updated :She got brought back for an evaluation. The staff was pleasant and professional so i adjusted the score. Hoping they admit her. Will update as it progresses againOverall I am improving the ranking as there were people who cared and helped.Constructive feedback would definitely be better communication on how things work so patient would feel more comfortable getting adjusted quicker

Metamorphosis literally saved my life.I was court ordered to be at meta through drug court. The rules and 'tattling' is very contradictory to what addicts are used to. The purpose is to learn to hold other accountable for their actions. AA and NA did nothing for me. Bridgehouse did nothing for me. Meta was the only place to recognize what was causing me to use and address that.I graduated in 2012. I am still clean. Almost 9 years now.Recovery is different for everyone but hold on to the 'keeping secrets' and 'not snitching' behaviors of my using life wouldn't have helped me get this far.
Samantha Roberts

I didn t like the process when I first arrived. Holding each other accountable seemed a lot more like snitching or tattling than anything helpful. I felt like many things seemed conflict inducing at first for sure. I soon realized I was being provided a structure to implement better decision making during my time there and with that acquiring tools to take with me after leaving treatment. There s nothing crazy about anything there in my opinion. The rules are the rules and there are consequences if you break them. They provide everything you need and then some. The staff is wonderful and really care about everyone there whether it s voluntary or court ordered (majority were voluntary when I left a month ago). I needed to stay longer but had to leave due to circumstances at home that had to be addressed. I ve been to treatment many times and I feel Meta has given me the very best chance to stay clean.I am a tough critic especially towards things that are stopping me from doing what I want. Meta is different for everyone but personally it s the first place I would recommend to anyone.

Individuals can expect to encounter moments of difficulty and triumph, ultimately gaining a clear understanding of their accomplishments. This setting serves as a unique training ground for individuals with unconventional professional backgrounds, often those with direct or near-direct experience as service recipients. I benefited significantly from the guidance of exceptional leaders, including AJ and Mr. White, who were instrumental in developing essential skills for navigating this demanding environment. While challenging, my time here provided invaluable experience and resilience that have been crucial for my subsequent endeavors.

The Transition House is a great great program! All the counselors and all the behavioral techs care about every single person that walks through the door! Every group is informative and gives you the tools to exceed quality sobriety! This program is not for people who need it, but for people who want it! One of the greatest things I have learned in this program,is I had to change myself and my old behaviors (not just the ones I wanted)...but all of them! I have been here for 5months and I am truly not the same person that walked in the door on December 31! The administration, staff and clients have helped to make the man I am today! Thank you Transition House! I can truly say I love Christopher Stewart!!!

They offer supervised medical treatment to safely manage withdrawal symptoms during detoxification. Additional levels of care offered include intensive outpatient. Specialty rehab programs a | Treatments Programs Payment Options | Groups has been amazing! When I was in a tough spot with no childcare nor transportation & I found myself out of my prescription I searched around for telemedicine options & found Groups recover together. I decided to give them a call to explain my situation & they were a life saver where I happened to get into the program the very same day. In the beginning I was a little nervous of the weekly group meetings as I have anxiety being around others, especially with strangers while sharing about personal experiences that are not my proudest moments. I quickly overcame that & enjoy everyone. I consider many of them friends I can talk to when I need a listening ear. They have an app that I ve never had any problems with, you will use this to update your care plan, submit drug test, & will join your meetings through if you choose the telemedicine option. Once in the program for a while, you meet with your counselor, office manager, & the other members in your area weekly; then a physician monthly where they will then send your medication to the pharmacy. If you have any problems you will have their numbers to reach out to, also a hotline you can call after office hours for anything from support/prescription issues/if you need to see the DR sooner/want to attend an extra meeting/reschedule if something comes up in your usual week etc. They are here to help you, not judge/punish you if you have a slip up during your recovery. Just make sure to be honest with them. Everything is confidential; A quote we say is what happens in Groups, stays in group (like in Vegas :D). You can be yourself & not feel judged as none of us are perfect but we re all doing the work to become better. If you re thinking about it & struggle with opiate dependence, CHOOSE GROUPS! I continue to recommended to any family &/or friends that need the help. I am truly thankful for this program, the ones who work for groups, as well as the participants that keep the program going. So many of us rely on what Groups offer & I pray the telehealth option in our state continues as I wouldn t be able to be here without it. Thank you truly! -- Sarah, a proud Groups Recover Together member.

I had to rush my brother to the emergency room on Labor Day. I thought his levels were off, but in fact, he was in diabetic ketosis. We did not know to look for this. From the very beginning of our visit my brother was treated with such respect and dignity I was in awe. They treated me with such kindness and compassion as well. I have been to quite a few hospitals with my brother outside of the VA system and he has never been treated this great. I wish I could remember all the people connected with his care but I am just horrible with names. He was taken from the ER to MICU and both departments are truly amazing. The nurses are teaching me how they are caring for him. No matter my questions they answer them with great details. The Doctors who have been assigned to him have even called me to update me on his care and condition.I almost took him SGMC in Valdosta that day and to be honest I am truly thankful I took him to Lake City VA.I cannot say enough about every person there who has cared for him. I will always take him there in future events if possible. For the first time in atleast 20 years I did not have to worry about his care. I was able to be home and keep my mind on my day to day activities in between visits with him.My brother even feels very cared for and has not complained once about his level of care.Thank you all for being such astounding amazing human beings and providing such wonderful care for my brother!

Lake City VA Medical Center stands out in the VA system. Formerly lived in NE OH and had to deal with the Cleveland System. It was very hard to get things done. I'm being treated for bladder cancer and this bunch of people in Lake City are great. Been treated very well, people are pleasant and very helpful. Have not had any issues getting things done with appointments. Short wait times for radiology and other specialties. Dr. Leach, my Urologist has jumped into a mess with my treatment after having emergency treatment in Valdosta at SGMC. My nurse, Miss Liz is super helpful and very caring. Just can't say enough good about my experience.
