year ago, I walked out of the doors of Northeast Florida State Hospital, and my life has never been the same since. When I first arrived, I was in one of the darkest places I’ve ever been in my life. I didn’t see much hope, and I didn’t know if I would ever feel better. But during my time there, something changed. Little by little, through the patience, care, and dedication of the staff, I began to heal. The staff there were absolutely incredible. They weren’t just “doing their jobs they were friendly, fair, and went out of their way to make us feel comfortable, cared for, and respected. They created a warm and welcoming environment that felt safe, supportive, and encouraging. The events, the programs, and the way they connected with us made me feel at home, even though I knew it wasn’t my permanent home. They truly made it feel like a family, and that meant the world to me.Since leaving a year ago, my life has become better, stronger, and more powerful than ever before. The strength I found during my time at Northeast Florida State Hospital has carried me forward and helped me keep growing. I often think back to the staff, the experiences, and the kindness I was shown, and I can honestly say I miss them and everything they did to make us feel cared for. I want to say from the bottom of my heart: thank you. Thank you to Northeast Florida State Hospital and every single staff member who went above and beyond to make a difference in my life. You gave me hope when I had none, and you gave me the tools to keep moving forward. I will forever appreciate you all. Much love Jarrod

I was a client at the TH in September of 2017. I was there as a doc client. I was treated like a person. The counselor I has was AMAZING.She help me learn how to love myself again. The Transition House is a great great program! All the counselors and all the behavioral techs care about every single person that walks through the door! Every group is informative and gives you the tools to exceed quality sobriety! This program is not for people who need it, but for people who want it! One of the greatest things I have learned in this program,is I had to change myself and my old behaviors (not just the ones I wanted)...but all of them! I have been here for 5months and I am truly not the same person that walked in the door on December 31! The administration, staff and clients have helped to make the man I am today! Thank you Transition House! I can truly say I love Christopher Stewart!!!

I've been coming here for almost 10 years and have worked with 4 or 5 different counselors over that time. The wait times have definitely been frustrating at times, but recently I've been able to get in and out in a very reasonable amount of time. Even though I was knocked down a phase because of a nurse giving false information, I can honestly say this clinic has helped me tremendously in my sobriety. No place is perfect, but if you're committed to recovery and willing to put in the work, they can be a valuable part of that journey.

Facing serious medical challenges can be daunting, but Lisa has been an integral part of my care, always going the extra mile to ensure I feel comfortable and cared for. She takes special measures to accommodate my needs, making sure I’m in and out as swiftly as possible, which is a true blessing. Lisa consistently goes above and beyond, providing personalized care and support that truly makes a difference. Her ability to connect with people on a personal level, paired with her vast knowledge, makes her an invaluable asset to the center. Edited review done on 1/7/26*...If you have seen my previous reviews, then you know that this place has a history of having super long wait times, really bad Program Directors, and a lack of corporate support. However, If I can report the bad, then I can also report the good. We got a new director and she has been phenomenal, especially when she's compared to some of the prior PDs, and I have no complaints about her. She has stuck with her agenda and it's clear that it involves improving the client's experience on a day to day basis. The holidays were rough but since then they have hired more nurses who started after the first of the year, so the wait times are much shorter (they were over an hour and they're around 10-15 mins, now. The clinic has improved immensely but it still feels like it is overwhelmingly overcrowded for it's size, which makes it nearly impossible to get anyone to answer the phone when you call. However, I can live with those things a lot better than having to wait an hour every time I go. I would still recommend going to a different clinic, if it's at all possible, but for different reasons than I did in the past. Now, it's just because the clinic still seems overcrowded but pls don't hesitate to come here if you don't have a choice or if the choice is this place or getting high. As always, the nurses at the window are top notch human beings and they're some of the best around. I truly appreciate them and their patience. Good luck and God bless

I really admire Ms. Terri and Dr. Menges as they are always there for me to make sure I have the care I need. I cannot express in enough words how valuable they are to me. Along with Colleen. However, today I experienced something that I never thought would ever take place. The medical records department is very unprofessional, extremely rude and refuse to help. Social Security has sent 3 requests to the medical records department for paperwork to be filled out. After I received a call from SSI requesting that I reach out to medical records, so I did. Upon asking kindly to please fill this out for SSI, she verbally attacked me and told me to get on my meds and when Im feeling better to call her back and hung up on me. Then I called her back and she called the police on me for harassment. Since when does Medical Records run this facility? Why am I being informed to take my meds by a non-doctor and then hung up on because she did not want to be bothered with filling out time sensitive paperwork. This is the 2nd time this has happened with the same medical records employee. First, I lost my job because she refused to fill out FMLA papers. Now she is refusing to fill out SSI paperwork. Is this legal? Oh, and to top it off I was physically attacked in the parking lot and I had to call 911 for help as the staff did not get involved until I called. Ms. Terri & Dr.Menges are amazing and now because of the medical records employee it's up to her if Im permitted to continue to receive much required services. This is an outstanding facility, only a few staff members need to be replaced as they do not belong and are only there to take advantage of people who need help.

In May- July 2024 my daughter received 12 weeks of intensive outpatient therapy three times a week at HCA Orange Park Behavioral Health. I must admit that I was skeptical at first as a retired RN and former patient at the Mayo Clinic until I personally met the staff. From the Receptionist, Tech, Therapist, and the Director Heather who all reassured me that they would all support and care for my precious daughter during her holistic healing journey. And they all did exactly that!!! She completed her group therapy with the tools she need in moving forward in hope in her quest for wellness and in wholeness!!! Heather a special applause to you for your honesty, empathy, support, concerns, compassion, understanding and professionalism during this challenging time!!! May God continue to bless you, your healing ministry at HCA, staff, and clients as you love, serve and care for God’s Children♥️🙏🎚️🦅🌹 In Much Honor, Gratitude and Prayer Dr. Jacqueline Johnson SoWeGa

3 of my kids go to their pediatric department. I would give this place 5 stars if it was only based on how warm, welcoming, and wonderful everyone is. All 3 kids see Jen and she is amazing. Miss Erica and Miss Jackie are wonderful case managers. Dr Lepely and his team are very nice. He has ensured my kids have everything they need, even when we have had to make adjustments he knew just what to do. Now for the negatives… The wait time to see the doctor is pretty extreme. They schedule everyone for one like.. 3-4 hour time slot. It’s first come first served and there are always 30+ people waiting. I know not everyone has time to wait like that and it confuses me why they do it. It has been especially hard with 2 adhd girls who are being seen for behavioral issues 😓 I am just lucky I have had the time to wait on days like those. Some times we are there for 30 minutes, other times we are there for hours. I tried to get in to see them, myself, and after months of not having a therapist or doctor, I just had to go find a new one(I dropped my providers to see theirs). I did meet with the case manager and we also spoke over the phone a few months later. I mentioned I hadn’t been assigned anyone yet and nothing changed so I moved on. All in all, the care here is positive. With some ironing out of their scheduling and staffing issues I think this facility would be a whole five stars.

This restaurant is an absolute MUST! From the moment I walked in, I felt so welcomed and taken care of. The owner was incredibly nice and talked to me through out my time there. I started with the Tomato Caprese Salad, and I can honestly say it was the BEST I’ve ever had, even better than the ones I’ve had in Italy. The quality of the tomatoes and cheese was absolutely incredible. For my entrée, I ordered the fresh fish of the day, which was halibut, prepared Portofino style. WOW. This was easily one of the best dishes I’ve ever had in my life, and that says a lot because I’m a huge foodie and regularly dine at high-end restaurants. The service was also a 10/10. Everyone was so friendly, attentive, and welcoming. La Cena is truly a local hidden gem, and I cannot wait to go back this week!

I was just bragging about Lakeview and pointing a friend in this direction, and i was shocked to see even one negative review. Lakeview was amazing, it saved my life. It felt like a vacation, Its practically a health resort. It was so peaceful and serene. I felt I was cared about when cared for, I felt like they were actually invested in my recovery rather than feeling like a number. From the nurses to the blue-shirts, the therapists, the kitchen staff... everyone was so nice and supportive. The food was amazing, honestly. The pool was nice, gym was immaculate. Yoga instructors were awesome. We went for surfing lessons, went out to a horse farm to pet and feed some little horses. You have a massage therapist come in, and someone to come in for haircuts. Theres even a little zen meditation room. The lake on the men's side is full of life, little ducks and geese, big bass and turtles you can feed - although I don't think you're supposed to, anyways. The facility is nice, its got a real pretty view, good food, great staff. I cant imagine how they could go wrong. If I had to complain, the apartments, the PHP after the inpatient - the last period before you graduate... the apartments kind of sucked, but the comradery, the fellowship there.. it was a great place to transition back into the real world. And the girl at the window that took the cigarette and vape orders seemed like she was always having a bad day... but still. This place is amazing. I love Lakeview. I brag about my experience there. I highly recommend it.

I was a patient at Lakeview from October 20, 2002, to November 19, 2002. I was there during Lakeview's infancy, when there was only one building, a couple of picnic tables, a basketball hoop and a beat up volleyball net. I can tell you, with great conviction, their program works. Lakeview gave me the tools I needed to learn how to live a sober life. I still use those tools today, and I have been sober for just over 23 years now. I wish I could come down there and speak to the people currently residing there and tell them it's possible to turn theirs lives around. I am living proof of that, Thank you, Lakeview.

I didn’t always agree with how everything was run, but overall the program was truly worthwhile and helped me tremendously. The therapists were exceptional, and I credit them—along with other staff members—for my engagement and my desire to fully commit to and benefit from my time there. The programming was a major strength, especially the medical sessions led by doctors and nurses, as well as the psychotherapy sessions led by trained therapists. These were pivotal to my success. They also offer nightly 12‑step meetings, typically hosted by outside groups such as AA and NA, which added meaningful support. The living arrangements exceeded my expectations. The dorm room was comfortable (the beds were genuinely great), the food was very good with a wide variety of options every day, and there was a healthy balance of structured programming and downtime for reading, homework, movies, and rest. One thing that particularly impressed me was their weekly Town Hall, where patients can openly raise concerns, complaints, suggestions, and compliments directly with leadership, including the CEO, Clinical Director, Nursing, Maintenance, and BHTs. While the facility is clearly short‑staffed, I never once felt unsafe or discouraged from voicing my concerns. Some of the rules could be frustrating, but they are clearly in place for patient safety. I am 44 days sober today. When I arrived, I was angry at the world, ready to leave AMA, and intent on drinking myself to death. I left with a powerful desire to live and to continue doing the next right thing to stay grounded in my recovery. Stepping Stone—especially my individual therapist and the classes—saved my life. I will be forever grateful.

I just wanted to share that I have been going to this clinic off and on since 2013. I have came and gone, I have had counselor after counselor. My counselor now is IRA. I have been close with a lot of my counselors before but he’s the first counselor I can honestly say I have been 100% honest with. No judgement. When I think I have accomplished something as small as a grain of sand he reminds me of the mountain I just moved. Today I broke down and he brought up things that hit the heart with me and made so much sense because he actually listens. Other counselors have pushed me to go to meetings when all I needed was one on one counseling and the counseling I received today was exactly what I needed. I just wanted to share how awesome IRA is and how much he is apppreciated. I am so thankful for this clinic because I don’t feel so alone anymore. If you’re thinking about starting I would recommend this clinic 1000 percent. I’ve gone to multiple clinics and this clinic is by far the best

I started my journey on the JAX1 campus, and transfered to the new Lakeland FL campus after the closing of JAX1. The campus is so beautiful and I am so glad I made the move with the campus. Sober Living America changed the way I see life as well as how I see myself. They gave me the tools I needed to live a sober life and have peace and joy again. Salvatore was my Director on JAX1 and remains my Director on the Lakeland campus. He shows such grace every day. He chooses recovery over character and money. He has a vast knowledge of recovery, and I continue to learn from him every day. We are a family here and we help each other through the difficult moments we face. God only knows where I would be without this program. I would recommend Sober Living America to anyone who is struggling with addiction. Thank you to Salvatore and the staff for all of God's work you do!

The Outpatient "3 People Per Day" Rumor Gateway Community Services is a large-scale provider that handles a high volume of people across detox, residential, and outpatient care. They do not limit their entire outpatient program to 3 people a day. However, some clinics may limit their "new" patient intake to 3 per day and on some occasions a specific doctor or counselor at the clinic might only have open slots for 3 individual appointments on a particular day. All in all this is a fantastic place that has helped a lot of people including me! They never give up on one individual as I have seen multiple people come and go multiple times! If you want sobriety, you will achieve and maintain sobriety! No, its not as simple as that...but it can be! Dont give up! You only truly fail if you accept that failure. Remember: pain is only temporary and success is only dictated by your own "natural" happiness! Let it go, be free and dont let a substance control your life; allow yourself to rule yourself and watch as everything else, falls into place!

I am so grateful for Gateway, and the amazing staff there. From the staff at detox, to residential llrehab, down to the front desk & providers for out-patient, they are all an amazing part of my recovery. I started my journey almost 5 years ago at Gateway detox and if it wasn't for programs like what Gateway offers, I wouldn't be here today to speak about it. I will forever be grateful for what this facility has done for me, and taught me. I credit a lot of my sobriety to Gateway, for teaching me the skills I needed to lead and maintain a healthy, sober, productive lifestyle and how to love myself. One day at a time, sometimes one hour, one minute, one second. If you are struggling with addiction and do not know where to turn, by all means call Gateway. I couldn't provide a better alternative.. Gateway is where it's at. Detox will make sure you're comfortable during detox by using a MAT treatment plan that you and the doctor have discussed in depth and determined the right plan for you. Once you're released they continuously provide you the support you need. Do yourself a favor and call today, what's holding you back ?

I am writing this review to express my deepest gratitude to Kristine White and the entire team at Wekiva Springs Behavioral Center. When my 33-year-old son was Baker Acted, we were in a state of crisis, and the professional care we received truly saved his life. Kristine's professional insight into my son's erratic behaviors was exceptional. She and the team at Wekiva Springs were keenly aware of the adjustments he needed regarding his medications and provided the precise therapy required to help him overcome his crisis. Beyond the clinical expertise, this facility operates with true heart, sympathy, and empathy; they treated our family as if we were their own. Even during a particularly difficult moment when my son tried to escape, the staff’s professionalism and their immediate, cooperative response with the authorities were nothing short of 'out of this world.' We are eternally grateful for their dedication, their humanity, and the life-saving support they provided for my son. I cannot recommend Kristine White and Wekiva Springs highly enough.
