year ago, I walked out of the doors of Northeast Florida State Hospital, and my life has never been the same since. When I first arrived, I was in one of the darkest places I’ve ever been in my life. I didn’t see much hope, and I didn’t know if I would ever feel better. But during my time there, something changed. Little by little, through the patience, care, and dedication of the staff, I began to heal.The staff there were absolutely incredible. They weren’t just “doing their jobs they were friendly, fair, and went out of their way to make us feel comfortable, cared for, and respected. They created a warm and welcoming environment that felt safe, supportive, and encouraging. The events, the programs, and the way they connected with us made me feel at home, even though I knew it wasn’t my permanent home. They truly made it feel like a family, and that meant the world to me.Since leaving a year ago, my life has become better, stronger, and more powerful than ever before. The strength I found during my time at Northeast Florida State Hospital has carried me forward and helped me keep growing. I often think back to the staff, the experiences, and the kindness I was shown, and I can honestly say I miss them and everything they did to make us feel cared for. I want to say from the bottom of my heart: thank you. Thank you to Northeast Florida State Hospital and every single staff member who went above and beyond to make a difference in my life. This group of doctors are the best in the world I've never not been able to get help with anything I need and if they can't help they'll find someone to help u .. absolutely has changed and saved my life for the better

Groups has help me stay sober and live a productive life . It helps hold me accountable every week and there is someone to help me navigate through life . I’m very grateful for groups !

Brittany Lauria has helped me so much with my recovery and dealing with past trauma. She is a phenomenal counselor. She is such a caring person and is really there for her clients. She is a god send!!

I have a wonderful peer her name is Stephanie Brown,& I am so very grateful for her &clay behavioral,she's a wonderful peer who does everything to help that she possible can!! My trauma has even lessened because she's always there to talk with me!! I just wanted to say thank you for everything & Dr.Menges is amazing as well as the rest of the staff including the pharmacy!! I'm so thankful for everything!!

The road to recovery is so much easier and less rocky because of the people at the Loche Rane location. Brittany is so kind, caring and honest that I felt comfortable opening up and being completely transparent with both myself and the people around me. The people who do not come out of their services bettered are the ones who never truly took advantage of the wonderful opportunity before them.

I love the whole team and my kids enjoy all them the good with working with my family times and days we have work and school they are sweet

3 of my kids go to their pediatric department. I would give this place 5 stars if it was only based on how warm, welcoming, and wonderful everyone is. All 3 kids see Jen and she is amazing. Miss Erica and Miss Jackie are wonderful case managers. Dr Lepely and his team are very nice. He has ensured my kids have everything they need, even when we have had to make adjustments he knew just what to do. Now for the negatives… The wait time to see the doctor is pretty extreme. They schedule everyone for one like.. 3-4 hour time slot. It’s first come first served and there are always 30+ people waiting. I know not everyone has time to wait like that and it confuses me why they do it. It has been especially hard with 2 adhd girls who are being seen for behavioral issues 😓 I am just lucky I have had the time to wait on days like those. Some times we are there for 30 minutes, other times we are there for hours. I tried to get in to see them, myself, and after months of not having a therapist or doctor, I just had to go find a new one(I dropped my providers to see theirs). I did meet with the case manager and we also spoke over the phone a few months later. I mentioned I hadn’t been assigned anyone yet and nothing changed so I moved on. All in all, the care here is positive. With some ironing out of their scheduling and staffing issues I think this facility would be a whole five stars.

I'm grateful for SLA! I came here with 14 months of sobriety. They have helped me to grow closer to God through the Big Book study and the Spiritual meetings daily. I have enjoyed the relationships I am developing with the people here on campus. I thank God for Sober Living America! #SLAROCKS

(I wanna give a special Kudos to the Lake City, FL - VA-Emergency room and the Pharmacy staff)Thank you guys Sure, you may get someone on a day they shouldn't be at work coz they're being a jerk, or you shouldn't have came because you're being a jerk. It happens. But in the last three years, every employee at the Lake City VA has been nothing but wonderful to me, and I no longer get stressed out when I have to go. I truly appreciate all of you

I went to the Lake City emergency department with acute pain in lower back. from triage and treatment the staff was wonderful, personal and caring. even security opened the door for us. The doctor and nurse treated me and was released quickly. The nurse, Paige, was very observant watching me while I attempted to stand and walk. She stopped by the room and talked with us on different subject. This is my first visit to a VA emergency room and they made us very comfortable. Eventhough you don't want to visit the emergency room, I hope future visits will be this pleasant.

Excellent from triage, tech and RN in treatment room to the Doctor. They Listened! Only complaint is they need a New Er. Old but still works.

I had a very positive experience during my hospital stay. The surgery itself went smoothly, and afterwards the doctors were extremely informative, taking the time to explain everything clearly and answer my questions. The anesthesia team was wonderfully calm and reassuring while preparing me, which made a big difference in easing my nerves. The nurses provided truly incredible care throughout my recovery. They were attentive, compassionate, and always ready to help with even the smallest needs. Their kindness and professionalism gave me comfort and confidence every step of the way. I’m deeply thankful for the way they looked after me—it meant so much during a difficult time. Overall, I felt well cared for at every stage, and I’m grateful to the entire team for making my stay easier and more positive than I could have imagined.

This is for the Baymeadows location, as it's the one I have experience with. The staff are very accommodating and professional. The counseling I received was more than I ever expected. I highly recommend this place. You won't be disappointed!

Ron Cipriano & Associates Counseling, the staff there are always very pleasent and very professional group. Sometimes when you first walk in there and your first point of contact IS Miss Melissa , you start to feel better already . She has a very nurturing way about her . Makes me feel like I'm with friends . I haven't been coming here too too long, but I'm glad I did. They have already helped me so much ,they have no idea. I'm lucky to have found Ron Cipriano office.

After 20 years of attempting to fight a seemingly losing battle, the Recovery Keys program made it possible for me to finally see a light at the end of the tunnel. This program saved and changed my life.

Having been misdiagnosed with the concerns of my forefathers, I've found that I was a test subject to this place. They are so understanding as they recognize that people are individuals and differ from their predecessors in many ways. I enjoy excelling in my work with them to help others to know that they are not alone. Being perfect isn't easy so this place helps to give you an imperfection or two. 😂

Don’t listen to the other reviews MHRC is a great place. The staff are super friendly. They’re great at de-escalating situations and keeping problems to a minimum they understand different kinds of people and they understand how to talk to people. They’re very good at recognizing how you feel in that moment And they know exactly what to say. Everybody is human we all messed up so we can’t expect the staff to be perfect but I will say they are definitely in my top 10 cause I’ve been to a few since I was a child And trust me I’ve been to some bad ones, but MRC is definitely like 4 Especially with the audition of Miss Allison, she’s been Taking care of me since I was like 16 And their doctors & Techs They’re great. I don’t know man I might just be high LOL But I’m leaving for Oregon to do job course soon And I truly believe that if MHRC had Not saved my life in the way they did. I would not be here. I would not be in this situation. I would not be prospering the way I am right now so please If you are considering inpatient outpatient, whatever take me to consideration that their staff is extremely friend And remember everybody’s human, but they do a great job at what they’re supposed to do God bless

Metamorphosis literally saved my life. I was court ordered to be at meta through drug court. The rules and 'tattling' is very contradictory to what addicts are used to. The purpose is to learn to hold other accountable for their actions. AA and NA did nothing for me. Bridgehouse did nothing for me. Meta was the only place to recognize what was causing me to use and address that. I graduated in 2012. I am still clean. Almost 9 years now. Recovery is different for everyone but hold on to the 'keeping secrets' and 'not snitching' behaviors of my using life wouldn't have helped me get this far.

I didn’t like the process when I first arrived. Holding each other accountable seemed a lot more like snitching or tattling than anything helpful. I felt like many things seemed conflict inducing at first for sure. I soon realized I was being provided a structure to implement better decision making during my time there and with that acquiring tools to take with me after leaving treatment. There’s nothing crazy about anything there in my opinion. The rules are the rules and there are consequences if you break them. They provide everything you need and then some. The staff is wonderful and really care about everyone there whether it’s voluntary or court ordered (majority were voluntary when I left a month ago). I needed to stay longer but had to leave due to circumstances at home that had to be addressed. I’ve been to treatment many times and I feel Meta has given me the very best chance to stay clean.I am a tough critic especially towards things that are stopping me from doing what I want. Meta is different for everyone but personally it’s the first place I would recommend to anyone.

I have to say in defense of tradition house that Luke's recent post was in retaliation for him being told to pack his stuff and go, everything he said in his review was a lie and a complete fabrication. You're really saddens me how someone could sink so low as to try to tarnish the good reputation of tradition house. I believe it is the best and always has had the reputation of being the best sober House in Jacksonville. It is well-run, clean, comfortable and a safe and stable environment to rebuild your life. Humility and gratitude are key ingredients to a New Life. Hopefully Luke will get it one day! You know as they say, hurt people hurt people".

Nurse Connie really went the extra mile to help me at a crucial point in my recovery. Mrs. Maxine was a fantastic 1 on 1 counselor and helped me achieve a spiritual awakening of the "educational variety" while working steps with a sponsor. Ms. Bobbie was a ray of sunshine and Mr. Randy was a wise mediator. Despite a rather unfortunate discharge it was overall a good experience. This place gives you a good opportunity. I look forward to staying sober through the Holidays with my family. Thanks!

You got to be ready. And be mature, but if you reached that point and you seriously are ready I recommend this program. It's hard for someone who doesn't quite understand the addiction or just new to their addiction. It's a struggle but it's a great place for someone who is really ready

10/10. Great place , great staff , gives a lot of grace and much understanding. The director is wonderful as well as the counselors , spent 14 or so month in a the MIST program and was cared for , listened to , and helped beyond measure. Thankful for this place and those who helped me through my pregnancy , and sobriety.
