Other Forms of Payment

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.
inpatient iconInpatient
Clients typically choose inpatient rehab when they are in early recovery or are experiencing a crisis that puts them at an increased risk of relapse. They reside at the treatment center for the length of their program, which may range from two weeks to more than 18 months, depending on the program design. Intensive psychotherapy is often the primary treatment modality, but clients in inpatient care may also receive holistic treatment and recovery-focused life skills training.
12-step icon12-Step
12 step programs support recovery through emotional, psychological, and spiritual development to address the root causes of addiction. These programs are peer directed, with participants regularly attending 12 step meetings, which are anonymous, free, and accessible day and night, year-round. Recovery is based on "working the steps" to understand the source of addiction, take accountability for one's life choices, and relinquish control for that which cannot be changed. Age-specific, gender-separate, and other specialized programs are widely available.
sober-living iconSober Living Homes
Sober Living Houses (SLHs), aka sober homes or halfway houses, are safe, substance-free, supportive living facilities for those recovering from substance abuse. Ideal for those who've just been through inpatient or outpatient treatment, SLHs are supervised environments with rules that support sobriety, such as curfews, shared chores, and therapeutic meetings. Residents are also often trained on life skills and coping skills to make it easier to transition into society. SLHs also provide a strong sense of community that can lead to the kind of deep and lasting connections with other sober individuals that supports a new, healthy lifestyle.
medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox
The first step of the recovery process involves the removal of all drugs and alcohol from your system while under 24/7 medical supervision. Known as a medically assisted detox, you are closely monitored by medical staff who can provide medications, if necessary, to help alleviate any potential withdrawal symptoms. Medical detox is usually followed by a period of inpatient addiction treatment.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Drug rehab in Florida provides quality treatment to help individuals overcome dependency related to a wide range of addictive substances. Programs address both the physical and mental aspects of addiction in order to help you make a full recovery.

A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.

Clinical Services

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Life skills trainings involve all the skills a person must have in order to function successfully in the world. These include time management, career guidance, money management, and effective communication. Truly successful addiction recovery is based on the ability to not only live substance-free, but to thrive. Life skills teaches the practical necessities of functioning in society, which sets clients up for success in life, and therefore sobriety.

Sober Living America is a great program that has honestly help me to rebuild a good life! A life that I never even could have imagined! As soon as I came in the program I was welcomed and loved on even though I never really even knew how to love myself. They loved on me until I learned. John Ivey, Kevin Rybak, Ken Woods, Tim Lewis, Josh Lataille, Dane, Thomas Wheeler, James Jum I have to Thank each of you for believing in me and showing me that this is possible! They allowed me to grow in sobriety by letting me experience what it’s like to be a guest in the program and then taught me how to be a great staff member and helped me to grow and become a man that now has a life and I’m married have my own job and working on my own place my own. If I had not met any of these men I truly don’t know if I would even be alive. They allowed God to work through them and SLA truly has staff that cares and wants you to succeed. I thought I had lost everything but because of SLA and their staff I was able to gain so much more and I never thought I’d have what I have today. Thank you. Guys for everything you do for me and everything that you continue to do for anyone that is in the program. God uses you guys as vessels to breathe hope and life into individuals such as myself. Thank you!

I would strongly advise against considering this sober living house. What they promise when you call is completely different from what you experience once you're there. Despite claiming to be non-denominational, the house is extremely Christian-based, to the point where they insist that you don’t need medication for any mental health or medical issues—just "faith in God." The director, Thomas, has a troubling sense of self-importance, often speaking as though he believes he is the reincarnation of Jesus. One of the most grueling aspects of the program is the mandatory 3-hour daily meeting led by Thomas, where he spends the entire time talking about God, leaving little room for actual discussion or support relevant to addiction recovery. The facility also does not conduct any sort of searches or drug testing for new arrivals, which raises serious concerns about safety and accountability. Additionally, they employ manipulative tactics like self-blame and isolation to try to break down individuals. You are often told that you’re only there because you have nowhere else to go and no insurance, which leaves you feeling trapped and vulnerable. This place feels more like a money-driven, cult-like environment than a supportive space for recovery. It is not an effective or ethical place for anyone seeking real help. Furthermore, they require residents to post fake 5-star reviews to make the place look better than it is. Please do not send yourself or a loved one to this place. It is not a safe or healthy environment for anyone trying to stay sober.

I came to the Jacksonville location off Kernon in August of '24 a broken man. At 38 years old I had burned every bridge in my life. I had drink alcohol since the age of 17 , tried many times ,and failed. I completed 28 days in the Turning Point rehab center in Moultrie Ga. I didn't want to go so far from home , but my kids would rather see me far away sober, them dead in a coffin ⚰️. After Turning Point I came to the Jacksonville,FL campus ,called "Jax 1". A man named Wes Thompson ,whom was director took me in. I went to every meeting I could. I preyed ,and preyed ,and preyed. I landed a great job in Jacksonville, and meet people I'll never forget. After 5 months of sobriety,I transferred back to Ga to the Savannah campus. On July 4th, '25 I will celebrate 1 year of sobriety. If not for these people, I would not be here. The only way you make it is to truly surrender to God, or a power greater then your self. Sober Living America gave me hot water, fellowship, food in my belly ,and humility in my heart . Please, if you need help , please call these people. There are many in the grave yard that don't have that chance . David Wesley Cliett III

This program took me in when I was homeless and had nothing but a bag of dirty clothes. They put me in a clean, comfortable apartment, made sure I had the food and things I needed, got me jobs and took me to work and aa meetings. All of this for no money up front. It's been a little over 2 months now, and Im already caught up on my fees, saving money, and most importantly staying sober. I'm not exaggerating when I say this program might have saved my life.
