Cynthia Clark is really helpful therapist---Breanna and Emmanuel good for med management/Psychiatry. I have been a patient for 15 years and they have helped me to see that I am not my diagnosis, but I do have a diagnosis. My dad and I didn't want to believe that I was severely mentally ill at first, but the more I accepted my illness as reality and my new normal, the more that the Drs and counselors are able to help me live a better quality life and still function as normally as possible. I see my diagnosis as a blessing in that it helps me to learn more about myself and in the process, help other people going through the same thing. Sometimes healing is a process and does not happen instantly, but I am able to cope better with all of the tools and support that I am receiving from family, friends and medical staff. God bless ❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏💕💕

Sober Living America changed everything for me.
When I arrived, I was a shell of the person I used to be—exhausted, broken, and drowning in addiction. I had burned bridges, lost trust, and couldn’t see a future beyond the next fix. I didn’t walk through those doors with hope. I walked in with desperation.
But they saw something in me I couldn’t see in myself.
From day one, the staff treated me not like a problem to be solved, but like a person worth saving. They didn’t just offer me a bed—they offered me dignity. Structure. Accountability. A community that didn’t flinch at my past, but stood beside me as I built a future.
I learned how to show up for myself. How to work again. How to forgive. How to breathe without guilt. They helped me find a job, taught me life skills, and gave me the emotional support I didn’t even know I needed. I cried more in those first few weeks than I had in years—not from pain, but from the overwhelming realization that I was finally safe.
Today, I wake up clean. I wake up proud. I wake up with purpose.
Sober Living America didn’t just help me get sober—they helped me remember who I am. And for that, I’ll be forever grateful.

3 of my kids go to their pediatric department. I would give this place 5 stars if it was only based on how warm, welcoming, and wonderful everyone is.
All 3 kids see Jen and she is amazing. Miss Erica and Miss Jackie are wonderful case managers. Dr Lepely and his team are very nice. He has ensured my kids have everything they need, even when we have had to make adjustments he knew just what to do.
Now for the negatives… The wait time to see the doctor is pretty extreme. They schedule everyone for one like.. 3-4 hour time slot. It’s first come first served and there are always 30+ people waiting. I know not everyone has time to wait like that and it confuses me why they do it. It has been especially hard with 2 adhd girls who are being seen for behavioral issues 😓 I am just lucky I have had the time to wait on days like those. Some times we are there for 30 minutes, other times we are there for hours.
I tried to get in to see them, myself, and after months of not having a therapist or doctor, I just had to go find a new one(I dropped my providers to see theirs). I did meet with the case manager and we also spoke over the phone a few months later. I mentioned I hadn’t been assigned anyone yet and nothing changed so I moved on.
All in all, the care here is positive. With some ironing out of their scheduling and staffing issues I think this facility would be a whole five stars.

We also have a friend from our church who completed 6 months and he is 11 months sober.
I’m giving God the glory!!! Bridges not only instills a sober lifestyle! They give the men a structure and tools to live. I have another son who is sober 10 months he went to an insurance based rehab and thank you Jesus he’s still sober but I don’t see the love for God and the commitment to following the steps like I see in my other son and nephew. I came to the Florida Recovery Center a broken man, suicidal, no self-confidence, and a great lack of a sense of purpose and worth. I'm a patient at Newday counseling, and I called there seeking professional help. There, I've found people that they were willing to help me get started with my process. Professionalism is what I found, people who knew about my addiction and are willing to educate me. There, I've found a lot more than what I expected, there is a 24 hour hot line, with a the other end willing to talk with me about issues that I was having problems with, and help me understand my addiction. I go to this place four times a week, under three different counselors. That communicate well with each other to help me Even when I don't feel like listening to the professional side of addiction, I still leave there what's something. Avoid BoardPrep Recovery if you can help it. There are a lot of other more professional and experienced rehab centers for healthcare professionals. The experience I had over more than three months was subpar to say the least. It's hard to even call this place a rehabilitation center. The Hardens (John and Elizabeth) who run the place you'll never see in person while you are there. If you are a physician referred by a PHP or other state physician health program like South Carolina RPP, they will most likely keep you over 90 days regardless of what they tell you from the beginning. Expect a lack of transparency and inadequate programming. The cost is $17k/month, which is cheaper than other rehabs. They do not provide food though they do provide housing. You sit in sessions from 8-2:30pm every day that are taught by barely competent therapists who often have you read aloud from printouts. They scratch the surface of topics like DBT/CBT/recovery. They have basically two therapists who run your sessions with occasional visiting lecturers who spitball topics in recovery. I found most of these sessions useless. You have weekly "art therapy" where you draw on paper with markers and do meditation sessions to start out your mornings. You have a once a week therapy session with your assigned counselor who projects on you what they think your problem is from the start. The staff don't prepare much for your sessions, and you sit in the same room everyday with a small group of men/women between 8-20 people. You have to rely on fellow rehab clients for transportation since the living quarters aren't close enough to the center or "coaches" that they employ. They take your technology/phone away for the first 1-2 weeks then give it back which is better than other places. You attend daily AA or NA meetings in the evenings in the area and have a little time to workout if they let you between 3pm and 6pm. You don't have much to do on the weekends except go to meetings and volunteer in the morning on Sunday at a soup kitchen for the homeless. They drug test you weekly randomly then charge you for it later. You see a psychiatrist and a NP once a week who gaslight you about discharge dates. When you leave, you typically have to do a weekly remote alumni zoom meeting for which they charge you $200/month. They take forever to draft your reports and drag their feet during discharge. The discharge process is disorganized and often involves extending your time there. They get angry when you try to get specifics. When you are ready to go it's often with a few days notice leading to expensive last minute travel plans. You fortunately get your own room in the living quarters which is nice, and they do inspect your room/count your pills regularly which is typical of rehabs. They will want you off of any controlled substance even if it is prescribed by your doctor. People got in trouble for having legally prescribed benzos or stimulants. If you test positive for alcohol when you arrive (either breathalyzer or Peth), they put you on a withdrawal protocol with benzos which is poorly monitored and often not evidence based (using a CIWA scale for instance). In summary, there is a pattern of poor programming, poor communication and just poor quality at BoardPrep. It is hard for me to see how any of the reviews are positive.

Florida is ranked 21st nationwide in terms of addiction treatment affordability, with an average cost of addiction treatment of $56,640.
The costs of drug and alcohol rehab in Florida vary widely and depend on several factors, including:
The costs of addiction treatment listed for cities and states are averages based on the cost of the treatment types listed above. These averages are high due to the cost of medical detoxification and residential inpatient rehab programs.
These numbers also reflect the raw cost of drug rehab, before any insurance coverage. The typical individual seeking addiction treatment can expect to pay much less for outpatient or intensive outpatient services than the averages listed below.
There are many ways to pay for drug rehab in Florida. Most treatment centers accept cash or self-payment, as well as private health insurance. However, there are many treatment centers in Florida that accept Medicaid and Medicare, or offer sliding scale payments or other low-cost payment options. Here’s the complete breakdown of how to pay for addiction treatment in Florida.
