I'm having a really difficult time understanding how there could a single negative review of this place. I was a client here a few years ago, and attending Turnbridge was literally the best decision I have ever made. It saved my life. The staff at Turnbridge truly care. They go above an beyond to make sure that the clients are comfortable and most importantly safe. They work here because they care. The clinical and psychiatric staff challenged me like no other providers had in the past. I was in and out of therapy for many years, but never genuinely engaged with a clinician until I came to Turnbridge. They helped me rebuild my relationship with my family. I learned how to be a good son, a good friend and I learned how to be a productive member of society. I built lifelong friendships during my time at Turnbridge. Yes, the program can be pricey (as is literally any reputable long term treatment program). But it was the best investment my parents ever made.

Whether you are a 1st time treatment/detox seeker or have relapsed and are searching for a new facility, this is your place. The staff are amazing and go above and beyond for the patients. This was my one and hopefully only experience, but I am incredibly grateful that I chose Retreat (New Haven). My therapist was PHENOMENAL! If you are willing to do the work, commit to yourself that YOU are worth the time & energy needed that it takes to truly recover, and remain sober then I highly recommend you give Retreat a try. It is a welcoming community and hopefully you will be as pleasantly surprised as I was about the services available, especially if you are a first responder or an active duty/veteran service member.

APT Foundation is a program for adults located in New Haven, Connecticut. They offer a variety of services such as primary care, mental health, and substance use. I've been in apt for 11 years, when I came I was addicted all opiate and alcohol. I haven't touched any opiates other than the methadone. I'm 11 years I haven't had a drink in seven. when I got here I was on a high dose, after about a year I weaned myself down to 39 mg. Once I got down I realized how much of my chronic pain the meds were masking so I made the decision to stay on the 39 mg. Instead of either having to go on disability or be put back on painkillers again. The apt foundation bought me the time to save myself. At the beginning I was on a really high dose and that kind of gave me the room to pretend I was still kind of high and gave me time for my brain to situate itself again. it takes about ayear for your brain chemicals to sort and for you to start feeling normal emotions again so it got me through that time. the counselors and financial people are very kind and willing to work with you and the North Haven clinic is very clean. I would recommend this place.

I've been at apt for 7 years. It has been uphill battle for me. I went up to120 mg and am tapering now. I'm at 50mg and have a plan. It's probably been the only plan that I have worked on. Life has it's own plan.

I'm still going to the APT Fondation, I been going for almost 4 months now, They have helped me a lot.. It was hard at first but when they got my dose up to the right level I haven't used any drugs except what my Dr ordered at the pharmacey.. I feel great and I can't wait to get takehome bottles so I won't have to go every day...The people that work there are very friendly Kind & Caring.. I recomended the program to a few of my friends so they can get help, But you can show someone the way it's up to them to do it.. The thing with drugs is You can't make someone change The person has to want it to change...

I was a patient there and Dr. Ong was absolutely amazing. She went well above and beyond by making sure I was placed in the Polytrauma Care Team. Dr. Ong made sure I had all my meds, when I needed someone to talk to I went to her and she listened to me and offered her insight. Dr. Ong was the best Primary Care doctor I ever had and her and nurse Mike made sure I had all my updated vaccinations. Nurse Mike made me feel welcome and very approachable, we talked about sports, about hobbies, and he was one of the nicest people I have ever met. I was a patient there from June 2024 until November 2025. I relocated but I wished I did not and now I regret it I may go back to Waterbury just so Dr. Ong, Nurse Mike, and The Polytrauma Care Team can handle all of my care. Because at the Waterbury primary care clinic and at the West Haven VA I feel that I received the best care for my Neurological, TBI, Cognitive Function, Mental Health, and, Occupational Therapy needs.

This is absolutely the best of the best medical offices I have ever been to for medical assistance. Every person who works there is friendly, helpful, and polite. I have been a Connecticut resident most of my life, but I have lived in Pennsylvania for a few years, Texas too, and have used their VA medical centers as well. All of them were very good, but if I have to pick one that I believe was/is the absolute Best, I would chose, hands down, Waterbury VA .

Inter Community, 40 Coventry St, Hartford CT. I’ve had a very good experience with InterCommunity Health. The staff is welcoming, respectful, and genuinely cares about patient well-being. From the front desk to the doctors and counselors, everyone takes the time to listen and provide support without judgment. Their integrated approach to healthcare—covering physical, behavioral, and mental health—makes it easier to get comprehensive care in one place. The medical team explains treatment options clearly and works with you to find what fits best. Wait times can vary, but overall, the quality of care and compassion shown by the providers more than make up for it. They also offer helpful resources for recovery, wellness, and community support, which shows they’re truly invested in helping people improve their lives.

The IOP was very helpful for me. A majority of the staff were very supportive and helpful. There is one woman there “beau” I think is how you spell her name. Always giving me dirty looks, I would wave at her and no response. It made me very uncomfortable in a therapeutic setting.

IOL has been there for me when I was at rock bottom. My first time there in December 2023 was ok, the staff was kind except for one tech from the adult unit... When I went back last December, I ended up staying for Christmas, and the staff did their best to make us happy with gifts, games, etc. I stayed for almost a month and started becoming myself again with help from my favourite tech and my favorite nurses. This was the first place that actually treated me like a human being while being in a psych facility. Most of the staff were still there from the first time and they had a better understanding with what was going on. I was so happy they remembered what had helped me last time.
