This place is beautiful, but the way they treat people doesn't measure up to the esthetics. In my experience, Daniel the CEO appears to be extremely greedy especially since the City of Edmonds isn't able to give them money anymore. Daniel is not inclusive of all economic levels and now charges money for all the events instead of taking suggested donations so ALL people can attend. Daniel needs to be replaced by someone who doesn't discriminate against certain levels of income and stop allowing Teresa Whiple from My Edmonds News to partner with him. In my experiences with Teresa, she appears to share the same issues as Daniel, which would make sense that they work together on these book events that aren't free but should be. All the classes also appear to be geared towards making money rather than bringing the community together as originally designed when Rick Steves donated millions of dollars. The classes also appear to be focused on New Age principles while none are Christian based. We would LOVE to have a Bible class at the center that is free to attend. Please replace Daniel with someone who cares about including ALL people into the events and takes suggested donations rather than excluding those who can't pay. Also, Teresa Whiple who is at the book events, does not appear to be an authentic person, nor trustworthy.

Our experience with the Edmonds Waterfront Center (EWC) was absolutely incredible from start to finish. The team was flexible, enthusiastic, and an absolute dream to work with. It truly felt like a steal given the breathtaking location, stunning views, and all that the venue offers. A special shoutout to Jana, their wonderful sales manager, who went above and beyond to make sure every single one of our needs was met. She was warm, responsive, and genuinely cared about helping us create a day that reflected us perfectly. Our guests haven’t stopped raving about the venue — the atmosphere, the views, and how seamless everything felt. We can’t wait to return to the EWC in the years ahead to relive memories of the best day of our lives. If you’re considering hosting your wedding or event here, do it — you’ll be so glad you did!

We had a celebration of life event at EWC. This was for a dear friend who loved the water and windsurfing. It was a beautiful sunny day so the views were great (unfortunately forest fire smoke covered the Olympics). Booking the venue with Jana went very well. On the day of the set-up along with requested changes implemented by Rob went smoothly. I would rent the venue again.

Other Forms of Payment

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Sliding scale payments are based on a client's income and family size. The goal is to make treatment affordable to everyone. By taking these factors into account, addiction recovery care providers help ensure that your treatment does not become a financial burden to you or your family, eliminating one barrier to care.

Addiction Treatments

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Effective drug rehab in Washington integrates care for the whole person, offering comprehensive solutions to addiction. Treatment methods address mental, physical, and relational aspects of substance abuse.

A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Programs

Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.

Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

The Edmonds Waterfront Center hosted my mom's Celebration of Life. Everything was perfect from the catering to the beautiful view of Puget Sound from the room.
