Additionally, SunCloud s medical team is led by Dr. Kim Dennis, who brings a wealth of knowledge, experience, and expertise in the field of mental and behavioral health to the organization. SunCloud is a great resource for adolescents and adults struggling with mental health issues, with particular expertise in treating multiple diagnoses. SunCloud provides personalized and individualized care, treating the whole person, not just a part of them. They have a highly trained and experienced medical team lead by one of the country's leading doctors, Kim Dennis. I have had personal experience with their Community Liaison, Donna Bartlett, through my work with middle and high schools. Donna is wealth of information and an amazing support system for community partners.

All of the staff are super friendly and their goal is to help you be successful. The PA listens to you carefully and he will suggest and prescribe medication to aid you to reach your goals. The counselor will work with you to set up a plan for your recovery and listens intently to you to help you reach the goals you have set. She has helped me in numerous ways to overcome anxiety issues that were blocking my path. I believe the whole staff have truly saved my life.

Such super friendly people when you go there. They treat you like family! They make you feel very comfortable..

i went here when i was 16 and i thought it was hell on earth. years later there is only one facility in my life that hasn t left me with nightmares and it is this one. i cook with the skills i learned there and it helped me get confident in the kitchen before i returned home. tomorrow marks half way through my first week of college. i didn t think i d make it, but here i am

I was there on March 3, 2025, with severe pain in my foot because a shelf fell on it, and I stepped on a screw. I can say that they helped me they did various examinations, relieved the pain, and prescribed me more medication to continue treatment at home. I m grateful for the help, but it took way too long. I arrived at 11 p.m. and left at 6 a.m., even though there were hardly any other people seeking medical attention. I feel like they could have done everything much faster. Overall, the service was very good, but just too slow.

To put it simply.......They helped save my very life and taught me how to live a good life. I am in there debt.

I entered The Gateway Foundation on October 31st 1996, my life had become unmanageable up until that point due to my addiction to cocaine. Thanks to Tyrone Anderson, who was an addiction counselor there at that time, and my mother, my life took a dramatic turn. Upon entering the facility my first 10 minutes after walking through the door they took a picture of me right there at the front door,I later learned why one year later. They admitted me right in the middle of a big Halloween party they were having that night ,my first thought was,.well alright.! this place is going to work out just fine.! walked right into a party right off the street. But oh boy, what a change of mind I had the next few days. I thought I had seen all the tricks in the book after completing basic training in the military,.USAF at that ! but my experiences at Gateway Foundation for one whole year,.OMG ! I hadn't seen nothing. I thought that I had done every kind of menial chores from mopping ,and cleaning ,scrubbing ,you name it ,while going through basic training in the military,.ha ! And my drill sergeant would shudder if he had to endure what we called at Gateway during that time a 'smoking". Basically it's when you mess up or violate a rule, you are commanded to go down in the basement, right below the meeting hall, where everybody can hear you get your feelings blowed out your mind, and heart by your fellow classmates in one of the loudest, meanest super aggressive verbal reprimands you have ever had in your life,.but it does get your attention though,.LOL. I'm saying all this to say that as addicts, we sometimes endure much worse treatment on the mean streets and environments of drug and alcohol addiction, but we are not discouraged by not so friendly people out there to still acquire our drugs of choice. Thanks to the environment of peer assisted treatment I received at Gateway, it helped me face the reality of life on the streets as an addict. I'm not saying that everything worked out perfect after leaving Gateway, we all struggle through the up's and downs of recovery, it's knowing how to get back on the right track, how to stay on the right track,, where and how to seek help when we fall that's important to continuing your life of sobriety. Thanks to the educational and therapeutical experiences I received from Gateway, I can proudly say that I am a happy, successful and drug free person to this very day.and I look nothing like that admission picture from 28 years ago.I encourage all who read this ,if you or someone you know is struggling with substance abuse issues, consider getting the help you need from The Gateway Foundation, I'm thankful my family did it for me. Taking care of my brother nurses are very nice Housekeeping keep his room very clean

I have been here for 3 1/2 weeks in the ICU(153). My medical care has been excellent from many doctors and nurses! The therapy is mediocre and RT s in general are quite poor. The RT s in general speak very little English so most of the time I just did my own treatments. The strength of the medical care overshadowed the weaker areas. One other strength is it is the best hospital food I have ever had and I'm a picky eater!!

EXCELLENT!!! My mother who does not speak English needed to have Cataract surgery done .the same day surgery staff was very supportive and made things easier .Procedure went well and no issues at all ..very grateful to the whole team!!!

I stayed in Crisis Residential for a month (I got an extended week) and I learned so much and had SUCH a great time, I HIGHLY recommend this place if you're in need of a timeout. Lots and lots of groups, very well structured, the rules are really easy to understand and follow, and the staff genuinely cares about how you're feeling during your stay as well. You get to see your psychiatrist once a week to make sure your medication is helping, and the psychiatrists they have on staff are wonderful, as well as your therapist and if you're in the substance abuse program, they're kind too, from what I've heard.Once again, thank you Ecker, for helping me learn to manage my anxiety and various other symptoms. You've done a great job for a lot of people! 10/5 stars!

The people seem compassionate

Ecker Center has helped me so much with my mental healthand addiction over the past year. From my amazing therapist Elora, to my social worker Margie whose helped me with resources and applications to get financial assistance, to my psychiatristDr. Anwar who always seems to listen and care. Even the nursing staff prior to seeing the doctor have always been kind and diligent. While the facility it self might not be glamorous, the staff is impeccable, and worth the wait if you can get in.

This place was really nice and accepting of me. I think out of every place I have been they helped me the most.

I arrived at Compass after dealing with anxiety and depression for years. I ve also been part of the therapy offered by the psych community and believe in self growth, discovery, and moving forward. Having said this, I had some areas in myLife especially post divorce, that were keeping me from thriving.And I ve tried many things including reading books, talking with loved ones and of course, therapy. Still, I needed more. I knew this within my mind.I believe the anxiety and depression track at Compass helped me to define my values which were hidden beneath my anxiety and years of maladaptive behaviors. Those behaviors are ingrained. And we all have things that hold us back.With the group setting I had the chance to hear of others struggles and that helped to normalize my own challenges and help me to truly understand, I m not alone.I also had once or twice weekly sessions with a primary therapist and a family therapist which helped me define some boundaries post divorce that I was being to casual about.Additionally, I made huge strides in understanding myself better and aligning my goals with who I am and it continues to help me have a guide for daily living. That guide for me includes the self care we all to often put aside in the name of responsibility and roles that we are in, and I ve been so so guilty of this. And some other things I won t define here.This experience has been great for me and I put in work and effort to get results.For anyone ready to make some serious change within themselves and around their views, this is a great place to learn more about yourself. The rest is up to you though.

During one of the most difficult times our family has faced, the care we received at Evanston Hospital was nothing short of extraordinary. Dr. Chris in the ICU, along with every single nurse and staff member we encountered, went above and beyond offering not just medical expertise but genuine compassion, clarity and patience at every turn.This review isn t meant to sway anyone s hospital decisions (and I sincerely hope no one is choosing based solely on reviews), but I felt compelled to publicly acknowledge the incredible people working here. The ICU team and the entire 4th floor staff are doing deeply important, often underappreciated work and it truly meant the world to our family. Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts.
