About Joes House

Joe’s House is a sober and transitional housing provider in Boise, Idaho offering private-room residences for men reentering the community after incarceration, treatment or traditional transitional housing.

The program serves individuals on probation or parole, providing a safe, sober and lightly structured environment across multiple homes in the Boise Bench and Meridian areas.

Founded on principles of dignity, privacy and independence, Joe’s House helps residents rebuild stability without the heavy programming structure of clinical treatment.

Reentry-Focused Sober Living

Joe’s House specializes in transitional housing for formerly incarcerated men working to rebuild their lives in recovery. The center draws on reentry experience to shape an admissions philosophy rooted in trust, respect and second chances.

Each resident has a private room within professionally remodeled homes that include shared kitchens, living rooms and laundry areas, plus utilities, Wi-Fi, lawn care and regular cleaning.

The team emphasizes an experience that feels like home with clean accommodations, supportive management and being treated with respect rather than judged for past mistakes.

A Pathway Toward Long-Term Stability

Beyond sober living, Joe’s House offers apartment and house rentals creating a continuum that can support residents on the path toward independent living and even homeownership.

The program does not require house meetings or 12-step participation beyond what is court or parole-mandated, allowing residents to stay as long as they follow house rules and remain current on rent.

Joe’s House provides an amazing transitional housing experience! Joe goes above and beyond in all aspects, starting with his relationship with all of his tenants. Compared to other transitional housing options, Joe's House provides a much cleaner, safer, and upgraded living experience. Joe's houses are pristine, peaceful, and foster an independent living situation. With individual rooms for each tenant offered at such a low price, you truly get more than you pay for. I would highly recommend Joe's House to anyone trying to get back on their feet!

Other Forms of Payment

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

A sober living home in Idaho is a residence where individuals in recovery stay until they feel ready to live on their own. These drug-free environments can help individuals transition from inpatient rehab to day-to-day life. Typically, residents stay for at least 90 days, but they can remain for as long as they continue to abide by halfway house rules. These include maintaining sobriety, contributing to household chores, paying rent, and abiding by a curfew.

Treatments

Alcoholism is compulsive alcohol consumption that results in significant physical and mental health problems. A person with alcoholism, or alcohol use disorder (AUD), is typically unable to stop drinking on their own and experiences withdrawal symptoms if they do stop. Treatment at alcohol rehab in Idaho is necessary to break this dependency. This treatment process provides the detox, therapies, and support systems needed to achieve and maintain long-term recovery.

Drug rehab in Idaho provides treatment for addiction to drugs. It usually includes a combination of treatment methods that can involve counseling, medication, and a variety of evidence-based therapies. Programs are designed to help individuals manage their substance use disorder long-term.

Substance abuse treatment programs in Idaho may be able to address the unique needs of individuals struggling with drugs and alcohol. These rehab programs include detox, medication-assisted treatment, residential drug and alcohol rehab, and outpatient programs. Therapies like cognitive behavioral therapy, or dialectical behavioral therapy, trauma-informed therapy, and process groups address the underlying causes of addiction. You'll also learn coping skills, relapse prevention strategies, and tools to enhance your relationships — which are skills for long-term recovery.
