I have referred multiple people to Park Place Sober House with much success. It's a beautiful home in the heart of Bridgeport.Kayti the owner and Chris the manager are wonderful and are well versed in the 12- step program. I highly recommend it

I've been at this sober house since April 2025 and I absolutely love living here I've been to so many sober houses and this place takes the cake by far I initially only came there with intentions of staying there till I found a cheaper place to rent but after about 3 months living there I've decided to stay there indefinitely I've never had this much clean time and for me it's one of the best overall I've ever been at. I can't even begin to explain how grateful I am for Katie taking me in. Chris the house manager is the best house manager I've ever been at I've been to many other sober houses and he is the man. he's very accommodating, he's lighthearted, he's not a ballbuster. all around good guy when I went to go look at the room I was coming from New York and Katie picked me up from the train station took me to the house, I liked it so I put a deposit down and she drove me back to the train station for my return trip home. I've never had anyone do that at any sober house I've ever been to! The cat's name is butters and she is a big reason as to why I want to stay there. other than the fact that it helps keep me clean butters is like a therapy cat I go because she's definitely helps my sobriety because butters brings the house together. no one steals food, no one steals clothes, if people have extra food they often share it with the house. no drama, nothing. it's awesome and I can't say that enough I could talk about this place all day I give Katie and Chris a 10 out of 10

I currently live at Parkplace, it’s a safe, fun, clean, and an overall amazing place to live, I am grateful for this opportunity. Kayti & Chris (owner and house manager) are the best! I trust them 100% they have both given me great life advice and have personally helped out in many positive ways! Highly recommended to anyone who is looking to better their life!

Hi Megan,

I was very surprised to see your review, particularly because you have contacted Park Place on several occasions in the last 2 months expressing a desire to return.

At the time, I explained that we were full, particularly in the women’s room, and unfortunately we were unable to accommodate you. There were also serious concerns regarding whether Park Place, as a Level 2 sober living home, could appropriately meet your medical needs at that time. For privacy reasons, I won’t go into those circumstances publicly.

I’m sorry that you feel you had a negative experience with Park Place when everyone there tried hard to cater to your needs. We work very hard to provide a safe, structured, and supportive environment for people in recovery, and it is disappointing to feel that our efforts have been represented so differently.

I sincerely wish you well in your recovery and hope you find a program or sober house that is able to meet all your needs.

In the 5 months I spent at Park Place I experienced several worrisome incidents involving negligence on Kayti Meehan’s (The GM of Park Place) and Chris Powers (The House Manager) part. The most significant involved Chris removing his dentures, threatening to assault me and then calling me an pu**y after I informed him I would call the police on him if he touched me. I Remakeblh infdisagreement regarding chores. Remarkably, this incident stemmed from a discussion regarding chores. I’m not sure what’s more ridiculous, a 60 something year old man acting like a child or the lack of recourse from Kayti. I have over three years of professional experience in the addiction treatment field, two of which included serving as a case manager. In my time, I have worked with many different sober living programs and have been able to separate the good from the bad. Park place lands somewhere in the middle, skewing slightly towards the bad side. A few things to note, this is my second time posting this review, I was forced to delete my previous review as Kayti’s retaliatory response included personal information I didn’t consent to being made public. Furthermore, I did relapse while I was a resident. While I was only drug tested 2x in 5 months, it is to no fault but my own that I relapsed. The purpose of this review is to warn case managers seeking aftercare planning for their clients and individuals seeking a safe and supportive environment about the unsafe environment at Park Place. Finally, if you are a formal resident of park place and have had a similar experience I’d recommend you file a formal grievance as I did with the agency that oversees sober livings in the state of CT. https://ctrecoveryresidences.org/grievance/ For reference, here are the code of ethics which all sober livings must abide by to receive crediting.

Campbell, I genuinely wish you the best and sincerely hope that you take this present three-month inpatient treatment seriously. I hope you use this time to take an honest, hard look at yourself, your choices, and the role you have played in the situations you continue to find yourself in.

My advice would be to practice some humility and let go of the sense of entitlement and privilege that has been evident in your behavior. This is your eighth inpatient treatment, and you are 28 years old. At some point, you have to consider that the problem may not be the establishments or programs you have been in, but rather the choices and behaviors you are bringing with you.

Park Place is a CTARR-certified Level 2 sober house. There are no paid staff; it is a peer-supported environment with a house manager who is himself in long-term recovery and oversees the house when he is home from work. Your lack of respect toward a man who is four decades your senior was both disappointing and disturbing.

I also cannot count the number of times I have answered your calls since your discharge, including the six calls I received between 4:15 and 4:45 in the morning. On more than one occasion, when I would not give you back your sober deposit—which you know you forfeited when you relapsed and brought drugs and alcohol into the house —you responded by telling me, “F**k you, Kayti.”

You relapsed, broke back into the house while you were high, and then behaved in a way that disrupted and worried the sober residents who were simply trying to live their lives and get ready for work. There are consequences to those choices, and the deposit was one of them.

At this point, I truly hope you stop looking for someone or something else to blame and instead take advantage of the help being offered to you. Work the 12 Steps, practice humility, accept responsibility for your actions, and give yourself an honest chance at recovery.

Your life depends on it.
