I’ve been living here for over a year and can attest that this is a great place, no matter where you are on your sobriety journey. The house manager and the owner are both very passionate, knowledgeable, and helpful. The rooms are huge, there are great accommodations, and even an adorable house cat! Cannot recommend enough!

I was in Park place for nearly 6 months and was able to achieve a lot of progress in my recovery and personal growth financially emotionally and physically because of the structure and connection with the house manager Chris who is a very inspirational to the part of enjoying sobriety plus Katie the owner is very involved with all of us she attends a weekly meeting and shows genuine concern for all her tenants emotional and life management skills far beyond the norm I was able to accomplish enough to move on in my life thank u Park Place.

Other Forms of Payment

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Levels of Care

The goal of a sober living home in Connecticut is to allow individuals in recovery to ease back into normal life and slowly take on traditional responsibilities and tasks. Residents of men's and women's sober living can mostly come and go as they please, but they do have to abide by house rules, which may include a curfew. Other structure includes group meeting attendance, chores, and maintaining a job.

Treatments

In Connecticut you'll find a range of substance abuse rehabs providing effective and individualized care, which dramatically increases long-term recovery outcomes. These programs include various levels of care, including inpatient, medically assisted detox, and partial hospitalization programs. You'll receive a comprehensive assessment and individualized treatment plan, to determine the appropriate level of care and evidence-based interventions. You can expect individual and group therapy, skills classes, and relapse prevention training.

I've been at this sober house since April 2025 and I absolutely love living here I've been to so many sober houses and this place takes the cake by far I initially only came there with intentions of staying there till I found a cheaper place to rent but after about 3 months living there I've decided to stay there indefinitely I've never had this much clean time and for me it's one of the best overall I've ever been at. I can't even begin to explain how grateful I am for Katie taking me in. Chris the house manager is the best house manager I've ever been at I've been to many other sober houses and he is the man. he's very accommodating, he's lighthearted, he's not a ballbuster. all around good guy when I went to go look at the room I was coming from New York and Katie picked me up from the train station took me to the house, I liked it so I put a deposit down and she drove me back to the train station for my return trip home. I've never had anyone do that at any sober house I've ever been to! The cat's name is butters and she is a big reason as to why I want to stay there. other than the fact that it helps keep me clean butters is like a therapy cat I go because she's definitely helps my sobriety because butters brings the house together. no one steals food, no one steals clothes, if people have extra food they often share it with the house. no drama, nothing. it's awesome and I can't say that enough I could talk about this place all day I give Katie and Chris a 10 out of 10

At the sober home for about a week and it seems very nice and peaceful however I relapsed because of my own mental health issue , I go to collect my belongings and my father's ashes are stolen my clothes. my only boots among other things that are less serious than my father's ashes. Kicks me out into the cold December night. you know recovery is about fixing yourselves and giving second chances in trying to rebuild yourself up and slip ups happen. Inhumane to take the security deposit and get kicked out into the cold winter night That really helped

Response from the owner
Mike, we’re very sorry that you experienced a relapse within the first 72 hours of your stay at Park Place Sober House. Due to a substantial violation of house policy that compromised the safety and sobriety of other clients, we were unable to allow you to remain in the home. As outlined in your agreement, this also resulted in the forfeiture of your sober security deposit. We wish you the best in continuing your recovery and encourage you to seek the support you need and that was suggested moving forward.
