While traveling, I hurt my foot and thought that I might have broken a bone. I was lucky to see my private doctor and he ordered xrays. We arrived at the emergency room, were checked in, xrayed and given a copy of the xrays to take to the doctor, all in less than a half hour. We were stunned at how quickly we were taken care of. The staff was so attentive and caring.

I have read some really bad reviews about this place, but my personal experience with my son's care has been very different...
The nurses & doctors have been very caring & attentive. They seem more focused on identifying the cause of the symptoms than just treating them with pills and sending us home... They take time to LISTEN to the patient and do testing (instead of making a diagnosis based on assumptions like some other doctors).
MOST of the security has been friendly and helpful... But there was one security guard who stopped me from getting back in after going to get my son something to eat... She was rude & inconsiderate. When she demanded my ID the only one I had on my person was my DOD ID (my purse with DL was in the room)... She said it was "fake" and started showing it to other security guards AND RANDOM PATIENTS. She told me I had to sign in as a visitor... I told her I wasn't "visiting" & that my son was upstairs, but she didn't believe me. She instructed another security guard to call upstairs to "verify my story". 45 minutes later, I finally got upstairs with food that had by then gotten cold, just in time for my son to be taken out of the room for a long procedure. People like her make everyone else look badly.
Unfortunately, this facility doesn't have the most updated amenities: HOWEVER, it is clean and functional. One warning: IT IS THE COLDEST SPOT IN PUERTO RICO!!!!!! I am NOT kidding! If you are going to be here more than an hour, bring a heavy jacket. If overnight, bring TWO blankets.
If I could change anything, it would be the chairs they have for the parents to sleep in and perhaps having a store on site that is larger and better stocked with necessities (& blankets and towels!) that patients and/or parents may need while staying at the hospital for more than a couple of days.

Yo vivo cerca de allí y es un buen lugar para persona q no lo tiene. Las mujeres q los cuidan son buenas y lo tratan bien como si fuera familia. Lo bueno es q no los encerrados ellos salen dan su vuelta o se quedan sentados en la cera. Los q se quedan en el Hogar Cordero son bien tranquilos. Te saludan y la pasan bien ❤❤❤❤❤❤

My first experience with hospitals in PR. Broke ankle and after being seen in 2 other hospitals, HURRA took my case. So glad I ended there. Their staff and nurses were great. On surgery day, got there by 6 am, and was home by 2. They made me feel very comfortable and well taken care of. My only gripe, they need more wheelchairs. And as someone else mentioned they can use some TLC aesthetically speaking. Other than that, very happy with my treatment and amazing orthopedic doctor.
Note-gave DPA. They made sure copies were made and noted on paperwork. Really respected my decision.
