These individuals went above and beyond in their efforts to assist me in obtaining care while I was in St. Thomas. Their professionalism, responsiveness, and genuine concern are deeply appreciated. As a traveling veteran, my wife and I have been relocating frequently since 2020 due to her work in the medical field. Because of my medical conditions, I must remain proactive in coordinating care wherever we go. At each location, I contact my care coordinators to ensure timely access to medications, laboratory work, and any necessary procedures. Unfortunately, my experience with the San Juan VA system and services connected to St. Thomas has been extremely challenging. Even for routine laboratory work or basic diagnostic testing, the process can take weeks. In situations where timely care is critical potentially involving serious or life-threatening conditions, these delays are deeply concerning. Requests often seem to get lost or delayed within the system, creating unnecessary risk and stress. Due to these ongoing difficulties, my wife and I ultimately decided against relocating to St. Thomas. It is disheartening to say that this has been the only location where obtaining necessary care required repeated phone calls and, in some cases, weeks of follow-up. Access to healthcare especially for urgent concerns such as suspected blood clots or time-sensitive lab work should never be this difficult or delayed. I also want to bring to your attention several operational concerns. I left messages for multiple patient advocates in San Juan and did not receive responses, with the exception of Mr. Graham, who was attentive and made a sincere effort to assist me. Additionally, the VA Clinic in St. Thomas has front desk staff present, yet phone calls frequently go unanswered. On several occasions, I had to visit in person due to the lack of response, only to be told that someone would follow up later. This experience is both frustrating and discouraging for veterans seeking assistance. It is concerning that, despite having multiple patient advocates available, communication and responsiveness appear to be lacking. Veterans rely on these services for support and guidance, and it is essential that these roles are fulfilled with accountability and commitment. As the CEO, I respectfully bring these concerns to your attention with the hope that improvements can be made. Veterans deserve timely, accessible, and reliable healthcare services, especially those who are traveling or residing in remote areas such as the USVI. April 13, 2026 Dear Dr. Antonio Sánchez, I am writing to express my sincere gratitude to Greta, Ms. Sherma Tonge, and Mr. Shem Graham of the USVI Patient Advocate Office. These individuals went above and beyond in their efforts to assist me in obtaining care while I was in St. Thomas. Their professionalism, responsiveness, and genuine concern are deeply appreciated. As a traveling veteran, my wife and I have been relocating frequently since 2020 due to her work in the medical field. Because of my medical conditions, I must remain proactive in coordinating care wherever we go. At each location, I contact my care coordinators to ensure timely access to medications, laboratory work, and any necessary procedures. Unfortunately, my experience with the San Juan VA system and services connected to St. Thomas has been extremely challenging. Even for routine laboratory work or basic diagnostic testing, the process can take weeks. In situations where timely care is critical potentially involving serious or life-threatening conditions, these delays are deeply concerning. Requests often seem to get lost or delayed within the system, creating unnecessary risk and stress. Due to these ongoing difficulties, my wife and I ultimately decided against relocating to St. Thomas. It is disheartening to say that this has been the only location where obtaining necessary care required repeated phone calls and, in some cases, weeks of follow-up. Access to healthcare especially for urgent concerns such as suspected blood clots or time-sensitive lab work should never be this difficult or delayed. I also want to bring to your attention several operational concerns. I left messages for multiple patient advocates in San Juan and did not receive responses, with the exception of Mr. Graham, who was attentive and made a sincere effort to assist me. Additionally, the VA Clinic in St. Thomas has front desk staff present, yet phone calls frequently go unanswered. On several occasions, I had to visit in person due to the lack of response, only to be told that someone would follow up later. This experience is both frustrating and discouraging for veterans seeking assistance. It is concerning that, despite having multiple patient advocates available, communication and responsiveness appear to be lacking. Veterans rely on these services for support and guidance, and it is essential that these roles are fulfilled with accountability and commitment. As the CEO, I respectfully bring these concerns to your attention with the hope that improvements can be made. Veterans deserve timely, accessible, and reliable healthcare services, especially those who are traveling or residing in remote areas such as the USVI. Esta mañana pasé por el carwash en la Carr. No. 2 y quedé impresionada con el excelente servicio en el lavado de carros. La atención y el servicio de primera y lo mejor, en cuestión de minutos. Al final una persona se encarga de cobrar el donativo y listo ✅️ Solo hay que tener en cuenta que en algunos momentos la fila de espera es larga, pero si vas en la mañana, antes de las 10am es perfecto 👌

Gracias a este centro Dios llegó a mi vida aún cuando por cuenta propia cometí el error de abandonarlo antes de finalizar el programa,me arrepentí tanto tuve que sufrir por años las consecuencias de otra mala decisión al no permanecer hasta el final del tratamiento.Aún así para la gloria de Dios fue tan poderoso que después fui levantado y rehabilitado ,Dios atraves de este lugar me dio las herramientas para poder trabajar mis situaciones pero lo más importante trajo al Salvador a mi vida,sin duda alguna hermano tome la decisión no renuncie hasta que termine yo te aseguro que cambiará tu vida. Llegué a este lugar, muy derrumbado, y sin muchas esperanzas psicológicamente hablando. Pero para mí sorpresa, tienen unos profesionales con gran empatía. Desde el Psiquiatra, las sociales, enfermer@s,facturación, terapistas, emplead@s del comedor, etc... Nadie se burlaba de nadie... Al contrario, muy preocupados y pendiente que estés bien y progresando. Salí el viernes, muy asombrado del trato tan especial y muy ético. Gracias en especial, a mi social de pelo corto rubia (perdón olvidé el nombre) No me abandonó y me gestionó ayuda junto al psiquiatra. Ahora, me toca a mí, seguir evolucionado mi mente. Es el mejor lugar, para recuperar la salud mental. Los recomiendo al 100%. GRACIAS!!!!
