About The Way Up

The Way Up Rehabilitation is a drug and alcohol treatment center for young adults and adult men (18+), located in Gainesville, Georgia. The center provides inpatient programs and aftercare services.

The Way Up Rehabilitation is a residential and work based treatment program for men. Their structured program has three phases, covering recovery, responsibility, and respect. Treatment includes achieving sobriety, obtaining work, learning to follow a structured program, and participating in a share of housekeeping. In return, you receive recovery education, counseling, a supportive sober home, career development, and peer support. Participants may also be required to take a random drug screening to ensure compliance with the house rules.

Onsite recovery meetings give residents an opportunity to attend 12 Step Programs like Narcotics Anonymous and Alcoholics Anonymous. These recovery groups are run by people in recovery and involve attending regular meetings, working through the 12 Step program with a sponsor, and being of service to others. In addition, clients may participate in individual and group counseling, peer support programs, and community activities.

The Way Up Rehabilitation offers self pay and financing options. The center is in network with selected insurance carriers, which may include Aetna, BlueCross/BlueShield, Cigna, and Optum. Please check with your insurance provider for coverage and out of network benefits.

The way up provides the support, structure and recovery education needed to foster change and healing. I ve personally witnessed this program help someone move through being imprisoned by addiction for many years to freedom-the answer to a prayer he and I prayed more times than I could ever count. Roland and his staff seem to have a good balance of tough love and support that the men in the program need to gain accountability for their lives while also knowing they are not alone in what they are going through. This program played a huge part in his recovery and I m thankful every day that he gets to experience life and our kids without the weight of addiction on his shoulders.

Addiction is a disease. The solution to any problem is understanding the problem, without that there is no solution. Addiction is more than abstinence from mood altering substances. The Way Up will help you understand addiction and the problem. The structure of the program will help you change behaviors and thinking and enable you to get into the solution. You re surrounded by alcoholics and addicts that will help you. Truly the place to get clean. There s not another program like it. THERE IS HOPE.

The Way Up is an encouraging place for men to gain accountability for their lives and respect for themselves. My boyfriend graduated the Way Up and his determination to regain control and insight over his life is astounding. Never have I been more proud of his confidence in leadership for getting a better life for himself and helping others in need. This program genuinely changed his life for the absolute better. I recommend this place for anyone who is struggling with addiction and wants to change their lives completely. The staff truly wants to help and I couldn t be more proud of the work they do here!

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

inpatient iconInpatient
Inpatient rehabs feature intensive clinical supervision and a highly structured and supportive environment, meaning they are especially well suited for clients in early recovery and those at risk of relapse. Clients reside at the treatment facility and engage in various therapeutic sessions throughout the day, including addiction counseling and recovery-focused life skills training. Many programs also offer evidence-based complementary therapies, such as meditation and massage.
12-step icon12-Step
Participants in 12 step recovery programs focus on personal growth to address the emotional and psychological factors contributing to their addiction. 12 step recovery is rooted in spiritual development, but religious affiliation isn't required. Regular group meetings and individualized support with the help of self-selected sponsors promote participants' sobriety as they work through the 12 steps, gaining insight into their addiction, taking responsibility for their life choices, and releasing control over that which is uncontrollable.
sober-living iconSober Living Homes
Sober living homes in Georgia offers an alternative to the abrupt change of moving from intensive treatment to an unstructured home environment. Men's and women's sober living homes replicate everyday life situations, but they do so in a sober environment while also reinforcing healthy habits. This reduces the chance of relapse. Individuals who could use extra support after rehab or don't have a stable home environment can benefit from this transitional option.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

A quality drug rehab in Georgia can help you overcome addiction. This environment is designed to help you address the complex issues contributing to drug dependence. The goal of treatment is to give you the tools you need to make a full recovery.

A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Clinical Services

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

I am grateful every day for the new way of life I was taught in my time at THE WAY UP. Graduating the program and being able to remain active in the program after my graduation has been the most rewarding experience thus far in my life!

My stepson graduated from The Way Up. The program provided him with structure and taught him many life skills: taking care of a household, budgeting, etc. Roland was a wonderful mentor for the men in the program. He knows how to humble while building up these men who have forgotten who they can be. We are thankful for the program. My stepson is thriving. Thank You!

I've had 2 sons graduate from The Way Up. It is by far and above any of my expectations. Their times recovering and maintaining have had there bumps but Roland is still just a phone call away.It has been so nice to have my boys back and doing so well. Both are hard at work excelling at their jobs, being involved in their families. The guys they met there continue to be friends.
