Having been through several attempts at rehabilitaion at different facilities, I was hopeful that Tree House NC would be more than the traditional recovery program.Previously, there had been an abundant amount of clinical process groups, an occasional one on one,and very little if any emphasis on nutrition, excercise and after care. I never left knowing how to live my life in sobriety outside of treatment. This was truly not the case with Tree House Recovery. From day one, my phone conversation with Allison in California gave me a sense of ease and comfort. There was a genuine regard and concern for my immediate well being. The interview process was open and honest, making sure I was a good candidate for the TH program and that we both had the same objectives. Tree House combines physical fitness, Mental strength and spiritual growth with every session. Group workouts, process groups and one on one mentoring combine to create a complete Holistic approach to recovery. Emphasis is placed on communication, team work, nutrition and both mental and physical empowerment of each client. Brent and the entire coaching staff placed emphasis on progress, and effort, not perfection. There was no judgement or egos involved as they met me where I was physically ,and mentally with encouragement and were fully committed to my success. Everyone from coaches, current team members, and returning graduates have contributed to my personal growth and progress in my recovery. This experience has instilled in me the importance of having a strong recovery community and having a support group to lean on in times of need, I now have what I consider family. It is through this experience and the encouragement of Brent Botros and Mary Dowd that I am now pursuing a career in substance abuse counceling. I am honored that I have been offered an internship with Tree House NC and look forward to having their guidance in my further personal growth, and the pursuit of sharing my experience with others.

My experience at Treehouse Recovery NC has been nothing short of life-saving. From the moment I first called to receive information about this program, the staff has been amazing! Matt was incredible at helping me with the enrollment process. He and the director, Brent, stayed in contact with me multiple times a week as I was preparing to begin this journey. Their encouragement and support were vital to my success in this program. Treehouse is not like any other program I have experienced or heard about. It truly is a holistic approach to not only healing from addiction but also becoming the best version of myself possible. Scott, Jacob, James, Kevin, Donell, Mary, and the entire Treehouse leadership team have been a Godsend and have walked beside me during this whole process. Thank you! Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

A medically assisted detox is the safest way to remove addictive drugs and alcohol from your body. A team of licensed medical professionals will look after you 24/7 to monitor your health, help minimize discomfort, and provide medications if necessary to alleviate any withdrawal symptoms. This process is typically the first step in your recovery and may take around 5-7 days, although length will depend on your individual needs.

Intensive outpatient programs (IOP) evolve with clients' changing needs and are often well-suited for clients exiting inpatient rehab and those at an increased relapse risk. These programs typically involve between nine and 20 hours of treatment weekly, with the intensity and frequency of care decreasing as clients stabilize. Most intensive outpatient rehabs integrate a variety of treatment modalities to maintain a high level of individualized care. Services generally include counseling, recovery education, and medication assisted treatment (MAT).

Clients who are exiting detox or stepping down from intensive inpatient care typically transition directly into outpatient treatment. Outpatient programs are designed to allow clients to either re-enter or remain in their communities while receiving robust, personalized care. Many facilities offer evening, night, or weekend services to accommodate clients' home and work schedules. The most common outpatient treatment modalities include psychotherapy, recovery-focused life skills training, and medication assisted treatment (MAT).

Treatments

Alcohol use disorder, commonly called alcoholism, involves an inability to control the amount or frequency you drink and feeling withdrawal symptoms when you don't drink. Treatment for alcohol addiction may involve residential or outpatient alcohol rehab in North Carolina, counseling, or 12-step programs. Typically, some form of professional treatment and support is necessary to achieve long-term recovery.

There are many types of drug rehab in North Carolina. To receive treatment for addiction, you can choose from many inpatient and outpatient programs. Often, participants start with detox and work through a full continuum of care that continues with ongoing support for long-term recovery.

opium iconOpioid Addiction

North Carolina offers substance abuse treatment programs that provide a holistic and evidence-based approach. Through a comprehensive mental health assessment, addiction experts can provide an individualized care plan specific to your needs. You can expect most rehabs programs to provide individual and group therapy, recovery meetings, and evidence-based therapies such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT). Depending on your circumstances and severity of addiction, you may need more intensive care. Levels of care include outpatient, residential inpatient, intensive outpatient, and partial hospitalization. By choosing the right level of care, you're more likely to succeed in long-term recovery.

Programs

Men face specific challenges and concerns when seeking addiction treatment. Gender-specific recovery programs help them tackle these issues head-on in an environment that's focused, targeted, and distraction-free. It also gives them the opportunity to connect with and learn from other men who have been through a similar journey and can offer support for the next step.

Rehabs for women provide a safe, nurturing space for female clients to heal. These treatment programs consider the specific obstacles that women can face during recovery and place a special emphasis on mental, social, physical, and reproductive health. They explore how each woman's experience has shaped the trajectory of their substance use, addressing issues such as sexual abuse and past trauma.

Serving in the military is both mentally and physically challenging, and can result in trauma that persists even after combat ends. Military programs are tailored to the specific and often complex needs of active duty personnel, veterans, and military families. Clients often access these programs through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).

Clinical Services

Clients who receive cognitive behavioral therapy in North Carolina typically attend five to 20 sessions. During this time, they work with their therapist to learn healthier patterns of thinking, which can help them change their behavior related to substance use.

Counseling that applies dialectical behavior therapy teaches you coping skills to apply to your daily life. The focus is on intense emotions and developing coping mechanisms to manage them. Therapy sessions are a series of teaching lessons that help you develop these coping skills.

When you participate in experiential therapy in North Carolina, you'll harness creative expression to release negative emotions and experience positive ones. This happens through hands on interventions such as music, art, animal care, culinary arts, and drama.

Family therapy sessions address the emotional toll that addiction has had on the family unit and individual members. Therapists work with families to develop better coping strategies, which in turn create a stable environment for their loved one's recovery process.

Men and women enjoy a supportive environment within group therapy sessions for drug and alcohol addiction treatment. You can share your experiences and build connections with your peers while receiving encouragement from individuals who have faced similar challenges.

You usually develop a strong bond with your therapist during individual therapy sessions. This helps you explore the underlying causes of your substance use in a safe and nonjudgmental environment. Therapists help you develop effective coping strategies you can use in the community and improve your self awareness so you understand your addiction triggers.

Routine tasks are difficult for someone experiencing addiction. Daily skills deteriorate, which makes it harder to achieve recovery. That's why drug rehab programs in North Carolina reteach basic life skills. This gives you the tools you need to manage daily life without returning to substance use.

Trauma therapy helps you reclaim your life after experiencing or witnessing a traumatic event. Therapists help to process these memories, which promotes emotional healing and reduces anxiety in social situations. This improves your overall well being and increases your self confidence.
