Amazing staff all around. Every counselor I have had was phenomenal, caring and what I really liked was that they had experienced hardship or addiction first hand, so they really knew the struggles. The office staff is great. Michelle is awesome, she's fast, witty and professional. I say professional because on many occasions, I've seen her deal with unreasonable, ornery and straight up rude patients, and she did it calmly, with a smile on her face. Adam is great too. The nursing staff is amazing. Leah and Rosie are a breath of fresh air in the morning. They always have a smile on their faces and seem to genuinely care about the well-being of their patients. I strongly recommend CMS to anyone struggling with addiction.

This place is a life saver and every single staff person is the best. They are so understanding, never judge, and couldn’t ask for better people. The front desk lady is the most patient of people I’ve ever met. She puts up with the craziest of crazy’s like a pro. She’s awesome!!

I'm very grateful for the financial assistance provided to me by Day Break. Due to my limited work ability, securing essential items had become increasingly difficult. There, your support has made a big difference. I got the glasses that suited "my specific needs," winter gear, a smartwatch to monitor my health and more. Their support has not only met my practical needs but has also lifted my spirits.
I don't ask people for anything at all because it cause me anxiety, but I took a chance with Day Break and I felt nothing but comfort and support and I hope others with TBI's will reach out.
Thank you Day Break.

Even times I've forgotten about an appointment, I'll get a call a few minutes after my scheduled appointment time to remind me to log on). This place is so incredibly frustrating! We first stopped going to them because you can not get medications whatsoever from them. You can leave message after message after message and no one will ever call you back. You can go to the front desk and they will tell you that you can not speak to a nurse, but they will relay the message. The same message that you have been trying to get to them for weeks with no return. I finally left and just went to my pediatrician to get my sons medicine.Because I could not get anywhere else to see my son, I, so hesitantly went back here and we are going on appointment number three that they have canceled and tried to reschedule . Each rescheduling being at least one month out. Their management is HORRIBLE!! My son has been waiting for almost a year now and we still have yet to have an appointment follow through. This is the worst medical facility that I have ever encountered! So sad bc they kids desperately need help!

I was part of AK Child & Family from approx 2002-2006. My experience was mostly a positive one. I felt like the staff really cared for me. I felt like they valued my opinion. I felt like they had my best interest in mind. Even though they were getting paid to be there, Activity Therapy was always a lot of fun. I was not use to getting any positive attention from anyone, so it was nice. The only big negative I can remember is when my worker pulled me from school in 9th grade, told me we were going for ice cream or something, then dumped me at Northstar. Actually now that I think of it, all the homes I was in through them but one were awful. I cannot however speak for the quality of the program now.

UPDATED REVIEW: Front desk has gotten better about answering phone calls! My psych provider Shannon Buckner & my counselor Nicole Jenkins are both AMAZING providers! I am forever grateful for their care & how much they’ve helped me in the last 5 months! I’ve never trusted/felt comfortable w/ a counselor more than I have w/ Nicole Jenkins! I highly recommend their providers!
My experience definitely did not start off good. I had someone give me the wrong information for my appt (Telehealth, was given wrong person’s login), waited 5mins past my appt before I tried calling the front desk. (Providers run late) I could not reach anyone at the front desk, I called 13 times and only got voicemail. So I called the nurse line, the nurse was extremely unhelpful, sent me back to the front desk VM. I then decided to call the BILLING department, at this point my appt is well over.
I reached a lovely gentleman named Jay in Billing. He proceeded to call the front desk, when he couldn’t reach he said he had emailed them and to wait for a call. Someone did call me back to R/S shortly after he emailed, she informed me she was the ONLY ONE at the front desk… no bueno! So she apologized and got me set up for later that same day for my FIRST appt w/ my counselor. (Hence why I was so agitated. I needed this first session)
Jay also FOLLOWED UP the next day to make sure I received a call back. I appreciate his kindness and his outstanding work ethic. :) thanks to him, I am content w/ services.
(My counselor was also pretty cool so far)
