I moved into the Avalon house about 8 months ago. It has really become a home to me. There is a lot of women in one home but we all manage to get along rather well. The Avalon house has been a safe , supportive, clean environment. We operate similar to the Oxford model in that we hold one another accountable. Anastasia is a hands on housing manager but she gives you the room you need to be an adult and make the decisions for your recovery that you feel are right. If you follow the rules, and prove to her that you re trustworthy then she affords you that trust and she is understanding. I truly believe that Avalon is one of the main reasons that I ve been successful in my recovery thus far.It s imperative in early recovery to surround one s self with like minded people and Avalon is absolutely a home that you will find the resources you need to grow and thrive into the person you want to be. I absolutely suggest this home to anyone that is willing to put in the work to live a sober life. It s all about what we put into it that determines what we get out of it.

Been living at one of Anastasia's houses for over a year, I came to this place via a treatment center and have stayed since. The structure and supportive environment of the house, its owners and its other tenants have helped me to achieve the longest amount of sober time I've had since I first picked up a bottle.

Avalon is simply the best. The owner, Anastasia, is so genuinely invested in the success of every member in her program. She holds people accountable while also offering grace. She stands her ground on what she believes but also takes the time to truly listen. She's involved, caring, and earnestly invested in the path of recovery for every person she meets. You won't leave this program without being impacted by what she and avalon has to offer. It develops structure, elevates discipline, and guides people from a state of "is this possible?" to a reality of unfathomable possibilities and complete change.Avalon doesn't just change lives, it saves them

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient

Outpatient rehabs offer community-based addiction treatment, enabling clients to remain in their homes while in recovery. Their levels of care typically include partial hospitalization (PHP), intensive outpatient (IOP), standard outpatient, and sober living programming. Most outpatient facilities offer addiction counseling and recovery-focused life skills training. Integrative programs include evidence-based holistic therapies, such as meditation, music therapy, and massage. Facilities specializing in alcohol and/or opioid addiction may also provide medication assisted treatment (MAT).

inpatient iconInpatient

Clients who are in early recovery, leaving detox, or experiencing a crisis often require the intensive treatment of an inpatient rehab facility. Clients in inpatient care receive robust clinical supervision, housing, and meals, allowing them to focus exclusively on their recovery while they stabilize. The primary treatment modalities used in most inpatient centers include extensive addiction counseling and recovery-focused life skills training. Many drug rehabs also offer holistic therapies, such as music, art, fitness, and experiential therapies.

24-hour icon24-Hour Clinical Care

24-hour clinical care in Virginia features a highly trained team of professionals to treat your physical, mental, and emotional needs. Doctors and nurses are available to prescribe and administer medications. Psychologists and counselors provide professional counseling. Other experts such as nutritionists and addiction specialists may also offer support. This 24/7, comprehensive care is designed to give you the support you need to begin a successful recovery.

medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox

Known as the first step of the addiction recovery process, medical detox is the removal of addictive drugs and alcohol from your body and helping manage physical withdrawal. Medically assisted detox takes place in an inpatient setting where you will be closely monitored by a team of medical professionals to ensure your maximum health and safety. Medications like Suboxone or Vivitrol may be administered if needed to alleviate any potential withdrawal symptoms. This process is typically at least partially covered by most insurance plans.

intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient

Clients in an intensive outpatient rehab (IOP) benefit from robust support but often do not require the high-level supervision and round-the-clock clinical care provided in an inpatient setting. Clients engage in multiple therapeutic sessions weekly, with most programs requiring between nine and 20 treatment hours per week. Intensive outpatient rehabs provide a wide array of evidence-based services, including addiction counseling, recovery-focused life skills training, holistic therapies, and medication assisted treatment (MAT).

Treatments

Alcohol use disorder, which is often used interchangeably with the term alcoholism, is a chronic, relapsing condition. While it is characterized by harmful patterns of alcohol use and physical dependence on the substance, the condition can be managed and treated. Effective alcohol rehab in Virginia is available in a variety of formats, including inpatient, outpatient, medication-assisted therapy, and mutual-support groups.

When you enroll in drug rehab in Virginia, a treatment plan is designed by professional staff in order to help you overcome drug addiction and modify addictive behaviors. This may include evidence-based treatments, group and individual therapy, and relapse prevention.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image

Adult Program

Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.

Clinical Services

Men and women in Virginia use individual therapy to focus on addiction related challenges as a necessary part of their drug and alcohol addiction treatment. Your therapist guides you in developing coping strategies, setting realistic goals, and building a strong foundation for an improved quality of life.

Cognitive behavioral therapy in Virginia is a short term form of talk therapy. Participants usually have homework between sessions, which may include journaling, self talk, and setting SMART goals. The aim is to transform negative thought patterns into positive ones.

For those experiencing mental health challenges, including substance use disorder, dialectical behavior therapy in Virginia offers an evidence based method of treatment. This therapy teaches skills for emotional regulation and interpersonal relations so you can break free from negative patterns.

When men and women in Virginia participate in group therapy sessions, they learn to freely express their emotions in a non judgmental setting. This helps you process your feelings and begin to understand the link between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that are associated with addictive behavior.

Started my journey at Avalon in 2023 coming from a treatment center. Anastasia and the rest of the ladies I was with at that time made my transition very easy it's a welcoming home. She trusts that we hold ourselves accountable. Without her help and that structure I wouldn't be 2 years sober today.

Anastasia is the name of the owner. There's 1 men's house and 1 women's house as far as ik. There's structure, everyone is equal, and a stress free environment. I've got to say, I've been to a handful of recovery houses and this is definitely the best one. By far. *Update - 2.20.23* I've recently moved on from this point but I still stand by what I've previously written. Anastasia is just an awesome person. It's not about the $ with her. She cares what happens, how you go about your recovery, and she will do anything along the way to help you. I adore the way she cares and envy her progress. It's motivation for me though. Although a lot has changed since i first joined the house, it's still a #1 for me.

Avalon Recovery House, is not just a house it's "Home". I started my journey with Anastasia & Avalon about 7 months ago. I was transitioning from another Recovery House after I completed their IOP program and my friend recommend Avalon because they not only encourage and support you during your Recovery they really treat you like family, which I really needed due to past wreckage, which in turn assisted in building a bond back with my family who now have my back and are 100% behind and with me on my continued path of Recovery. After celebrating my 1 year, 11/03/21, I have grown Spiritually & mentally strong , and have the tools to move forward. It was hard to leave my Avalon sister's in Recovery but I was ready to move forward, so that another sister in Recovery can come to " Avalon " to build & succeed in "their Recovery" while having a loving safe place to call "Home". I love you my Avalon Sister's and my" future Avalon Sister's". Thank you for all your Love and support Anastasia I'm truly thankful, GRATEFUL and Blessed to have you in my life. Remember don't leave 5 minutes before the miracle, no matter how hard it gets, the blessings due come, the first and most important" Recovery" !!!

THE ENVIRONMENT IS SOOOO PEACEFUL AND THE ENERGY IN THE HOUSE WITH OTHER LADIES ARE VERY POSITIVE.I NEVER THOUGHT THAT I COULD WORK ON MYSELF AROUND A LOT OF OTHER WOMEN WITH DIFFERENT ATTITUDES AND BEHAVIOR. BUT THE STAFF TAUGHT ME HOW FOCUS ON ME AND TO KEEP MY EYES ON THE PRIZE THAT I'M WORKING TOWARD. I HONESTLY FEEL VERY HONORED TO BE ABLE TO BE APART OF SUCH A FAMILY. THANKS AGAIN
