I've been coming here a while now and I can honestly say this program saved my life and gave me back my life and if you've ever been there addiction changes you Thanks to all the help and support from the staff here FCCR shout out to Austin and Caitlin thanks for all your help. Bottom line I've been clean 6 years now I wanted for myself it was hard and I fought every day at first but it was time to leave the party and I did it I couldn't have done it without FCCR God bless you all ...... These people are amazing, absolutely amazing! Stephanie and Art not to mention dr Gardner they are my saving grace. They really care about you and your recovery. I've been going to Savida Health for over 3 years and today I had the pleasure of meeting with Stephen Arcaya for the first time and he was an absolute delight and true professional. Stephen is exactly the type of person that I truly believe can help those dealing with addiction and the problems created by it. He listens and really makes you feel heard and understood; and also makes you feel as though he actually cares. My opthamology tech was very knowledgeable and helpful. She advised me on future appointments and when I'm doing upgrade. She went over and beyond for me. I really enjoyed the appointments at the VA Clinic just don't mind them at all. Thankful they are there for me. Her name is Denise so shout out girl I think you're awesome. I wanted to document my own experience here. I came here before in a moment where I did not feel safe being alone and suicidal. I have dealt with severe depression for a decade and PTSD. They figured that out. Never been screened for ptsd despite already seeking mental treatment elsewhere. This place saved my life. I had really wanted to get better for so long and I had held on for as long as I could. Nothing had truly helped. It was inpatient for 10 days, and then with the PHP program with the AMAZING ladies over there! In my own experience the only negative was the way some of the nurses (inpatient) talked down to patients at times. A really special shout-out to a nurse named April! (Inpatient) She went above and beyond to take care of me while I got extremely sick taking new meds. It truly was the worst I'd ever been sick and she took care of me like I was her own child. Having lost my own mother, she had no clue how much it really meant to me

I have been to snowden 8 times in one year, fair to say I know majority of the staff and security. Some of the staff dont care about their job and it'll show. For context I go to the adolescent unit. Ms. Tara, Tiffany, Jen, Debbi, Summer, and the security guard Kam (I call him milkdud, lol) are thr only people who i can VERY much tell care about the patients. They truly made my stays at snowden so much better and made me see the light at the end of the tunnel. Kam the security guard even got me to stop self harming because of his words of motivation. Dr. Alli & Becca are also the sweetest people ever, they truly care about their job. As many times as I have been go snowden, they never once gave up on me. -Ellie

This place is not like any other place, they actually listen to you and are not out for your money! Mr. Hawkins will work with you if you have financial or attendance problems. These sessions consist of small, personal, relaxed environment sessions. At first I was kinda skeptical because I’ve been to others and to be honest, just going through the other clinics sessions “made” me wanna drink afterward. Not this place, it was just all good vibes. You’ll definitely enjoy your group sessions (I know that’s weird to say about a therapy center). I would 100% recommend.

My experience at New Life Christian Retreat Center was truly memorable. The location is stunning, exuding peace and tranquility. The staff members are warm, helpful, and accommodating without being intrusive. The accommodations are cozy, and spacious. The retreat center has on-property access to the North Anna River and scenic forest trails. I was there for a women's retreat, but would suggest this site for a wedding, family reunion, or just a place to unplug and relax. If you want to get out for a daytrip, the area has plenty of historical attractions, plus the retreat center is not far from Ashland Berry Farm, Lake Anna State Park, and Kings Dominion. My group stayed on the property -- you'll understand why when you see it. Personally, I left feeling rejuvenated and uplifted after my stay at New Life Christian Retreat Center. I highly recommend this place.

I have been taking my daughter here for the past couple of months. Emily is amazing and the more appointments my daughter goes too, she is becoming more and more comfortable with talking to her. She not only cares about her patients, but she takes the time to check in with the parent as well. It’s hard to find a good fit for a teen, but we did find it in Emily. I would recommend her to anyone! She is very friendly and up beat. Always greets us with a smile and positive attitude.

Im really grateful for my experience at Recovery Centers of America – Capital Region. The residential program gave me the structure I needed, and my experience with the outpatient program has been great as well. Tammy, Brittany, and Rachel have been fantastic coordinators. They’re friendly, responsive, and make the whole process much easier to navigate. I also want to give a special shout-out to Cassandra, an excellent therapist in the outpatient program. She’s easy to talk to, genuinely listens, and creates a comfortable environment to work through difficult things. Overall, I’ve had a great experience with RCA Capital Region and would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for quality treatment.

I was a client at RCA Capital region and I was thoroughly impressed with the treatment. This was the second facility out of 10 I had previously been to, that actually helped me create a foundation and stay clean. They also linked me up with another facility to help me overcome all trauma from childhood. I would recommend this facility any day of the week. I am now coming up on 17 months clean and I could not have done it without RCA. Thank you to all the staff and counselors for their hard work and dedication to the clients. What I didn’t like was the jail house clients coming in. I felt like they weren’t there for recovery, but a get out of jail free card. Some of these clients were rude and aggressive, especially towards the women. I feel like a facilities like this, should only serve those that want to help themselves.

Edit Aug 2026: I still like this place & think it's better than most other clinics in the Richmond area. There have been some screwups over the years but mostly I've had good experiences. Things definitely also depend on your own attitude & your counselor, so switch counselors if you're not a match with yours. Original: This place has improved drastically since the new director has taken over approx 1 year ago. Its the only clinic that has ever shown me they actually care about their patients. Awful lady who gives you your meds at the window (Tunisia?) is gone, also so is awful front desk lady (Cheryl). I made a complaint about them 2 weeks after new director took over and didnt receive retribution or bad treatment they actually told me I was 100% right, I could not be any more right, what can they do to correct this? I couldnt believe it, as someone in recovery, I had never been treated this way (treated well!). There are many wonderful people now working at this place! Much better clinic than ANY of the others in the area

I've been going here for 6months and before that I was at the VA. There's a few differences between them both but most of all I can tell the Care. I have had 2 Counselors which is understandable considering the work load they have. Since the begining I have been happy and impressed how easy they made my transferring. I started just where I left off at the VA.The only thing I don't agree with or understand is when getting an increase u have to pick up for 3days before getting ur tak homes. I can understand this policy when u a starting out. But it doesn't make much sense after that. I can also say when there was a problem with my pick up (ther Mistake) my councler fixed and had all my bottles in 30mins. All I can say is If u work the program it works. Thank you

I love my counselor here at Pinnacle treatment center FCCR Radford. I feely counselor Lauren is amazing she's does everything she can possibly do for. Shes supplies me with wonderful advice, wonderful resources and everything else a counselor should do. My panic attacks got to such a bad point that she gave me her cell phone number in case I need to message or call when I need her. FCCR RADFORD SAVED MY LIFE!!!

I would not be where I am today without the help of Recovery Unplugged. I had two 30 day visits with them back in 2019 before moving on to a 90 program in Arizona. Everyone was friendly and you felt like you actually mattered. The musical component of it all was life changing and is still a huge support in my life today. It's outside of the box recovery and if you are looking for a place to start, this is it. I'm coming on six years of sustained recovery and now hold a masters in divinity while thriving in Tucson. The program and support is great, but once you finish no resources are provided. No follow-up with patients. They are all about profit. The providers can't even provide outside resources. This should be a warning sign they are out to make money.

I had a great experience and this was my 4th treatment center. It’s not a cookie cutter program and felt very comfortable and welcomed. Since I left I’m still involved with the stuff they do in after care and alumni activities which are great ways to stay connected to a lot of people who truly are still putting in the work to stay sober and a lot of us have become close friends and hang out a few times a week. It’s not uptight like a lot of places which is very helpful in early recovery, the music aspect is great even if you don’t play any instruments, and the housing setup is great as well. The rules are pretty simple. No vaping inside (at the center) and you can’t have your phone during group lol pretty reasonable. Otherwise there’s still a sense of normalcy. Highly recommend to anyone who’s ready to make that 1st big step! I was a bit apprehensive at first and couldn’t be more grateful that I did it. I haven’t felt this good in 20 years!
