Wonderful caring staff. Great clinic

I ve been going here for 6 now. When BHG took over the old clinic, River City, there were growing pains as any company has going through a takeover. Then the pandemic happens during the takeover. Staff was leaving left & right because patients blamed them for literally EVERTHING. The patients refused to see the bigger picture and wanted to blame staff for following the pandemic rules. BHG was the only clinic in RVA excepting new patients during the pandemic because they genuinely want to SAVE LIVES! Somehow so many patients complained about so many new patients holding up lines. Anyway, with all of that being said, I ve seen staff come & go BUT THE STAFF THEY HAVE NOW IS SO CARING & want nothing but THE best for us!!! Dr. Swainey is so down to earth once you see how much he relates to us, you ll have so much respect for his compassion to help us that are stuck in this awful cycle. I could write a book on how much I ve grown to adore the staff & they ALL deserve the absolute best in life. Every single one of them have played a part in my new outlook of life and I owe that to them. <3

i ve been going to this clinic for over a year and i have truly enjoyed making the relationships that i have with everyone who works there. they actually care about your well-being, you re never just a number. i feel like the kind souls who work here really do put their all into everyone who steps foot in their door. my counselor, lindsey, is amazing and has helped me so much. i have never once felt judgement or disdain from her or anybody else there. i feel confident when i tell people about BHG because i know that they extend a warm welcome to everybody, regardless of the circumstances. thank you for making recovery possible.

Great service, with some great doctors. The only issue is that the one dr who isn t great and is a conflict of interest with me , won t allow me to change doctor s. Otherwise it would be 5 stars.

I wish I didn't have to change doctors. Van was amazing I was able to open up to him. He made me comfortable with myself. I wish you all were able to keep him. Otherwise I love Bicycle heath. InWe will see with this new doctor. I hope this is posted. We will see. Only four stars because of the change of doctors otherwise 10 stars with treatment process. It is easy and very effective. I love it. if your reading this and need help PLEASE REACH OUT! They can help you TODAY!!!!!I have recently added a Star to make 5 stars. My new provider, Dr. Singh, is a pleasure to work with.

A great place where the medical staff listen to you and your concerns.

McShin helped save me. If it weren't for them & the Destiny House, a home I could live in with my daughter, I don't believe I could say today, that I'm over a year sober. There's no way I would be without my child, without her, there would be no recovery for me & for that I give a universe of gratitude. They placed me in the right directions for my mental health & a career building program as well. Thanks to everyone who works at McShin for all the love and support you have given to not only me, but my daughter as well.

I just wanted to share a bit about my time at Mcshin,. I had a very good time. They have helped me a lot in my recovery journey. I recommend Anyone that is willing to help themselves this is a great spot for them to move forward and better themselves

McShin is a special place. No place will fix you if you aren't 100% committed to fixing yourself. A major part of recovery is realizing that what we had done before was not working and we are the person that is most in the way of our recovery. With that being said, if you are committed to your recovery The McShin Foundation is a great place to help you get back on your feet and help you learn how to live your life in your recovery from addiction. Part of the beauty of their program is that you can progress at your own pace. I stayed in their sober living program until I felt ready and that was great for me. No place is perfect, but McShin is a very special place.

My name is Christie Cassidy and the new center is so much better ,I love my counselor azha she is amazing she is non judgemental, treats me as a equal always makes time for me even when I just need to vent and rant about personal issues. I am lucky to have her. When I am frustrated with how things are going at the clinic and feel like I am going to loose My cool she notices and is able to calm me down she is truly their for the right reasons and makes a difference in her patience lives.

The staff(counselors) is amazing, they are always willing to help you. Some even takes their personal time, off work, to help you knowing that they are not getting paid. I can honestly say, from my personal experience, that many of these counselors really wants to help you do better for yourself. They really want to see you succeed in life. I can say that I am not an easy person to deal with sometimes and they have not nor will not give up on me, and they won t give up on you!! I really consider some of them as family. Recently I have been going through a really tough time, personal and financial crisis, and they have been there for me every step of the way. This one counselor even went out of their way and paid my phone and light bill to relieve me of some stress and she told me not to pay her back.She took her own money to help me out something that she didn t have to do at all. Also every since that day she has paid my phone bill to help me provide and take care of my nieces and nephews. Basically what I m trying to say is that I appreciate and thankful for this place. I also wanted to let everyone know how amazing this particular clinic is and to tell everyone that they will stand behind you all the way through this program and anything else that you need help with.

My husband and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS FACILITY, they were caring while we got clean and sober!!! Hallelujah WE ARE!!!! Our individual counselors Ivana and Kathy are so helpful and supportive!!!
