I just want to take a moment to thank Arrowwood and their entire team. I’ve had several friends—and even family members—go through their program, and every single one of them has had nothing but great things to say. They always mention how beautiful the facility is, but more importantly, how genuinely kind, caring, and supportive the staff are on a personal level.
Thank you all for the amazing work you do—please keep it up!

I've had a couple friends go to other clinics and from what was said FCCR is more strict and that's so important. McShin is a special place. No place will fix you if you aren't 100% committed to fixing yourself. A major part of recovery is realizing that what we had done before was not working and we are the person that is most in the way of our recovery. With that being said, if you are committed to your recovery The McShin Foundation is a great place to help you get back on your feet and help you learn how to live your life in your recovery from addiction. Part of the beauty of their program is that you can progress at your own pace. I stayed in their sober living program until I felt ready and that was great for me. The staff(counselors) is amazing, they are always willing to help you. Some even takes their personal time, off work, to help you knowing that they are not getting paid. I can honestly say, from my personal experience, that many of these counselors really wants to help you do better for yourself. They really want to see you succeed in life. I can say that I am not an easy person to deal with sometimes and they have not nor will not give up on me, and they won t give up on you!! I really consider some of them as family. Recently I have been going through a really tough time, personal and financial crisis, and they have been there for me every step of the way. This one counselor even went out of their way and paid my phone and light bill to relieve me of some stress and she told me not to pay her back. She took her own money to help me out something that she didn t have to do at all. Also every since that day she has paid my phone bill to help me provide and take care of my nieces and nephews. Basically what I m trying to say is that I appreciate and thankful for this place. I also wanted to let everyone know how amazing this particular clinic is and to tell everyone that they will stand behind you all the way through this program and anything else that you need help with.

Avalon Recovery House is a sober living facility in Richmond, Virginia. They provide outpatient addiction treatment and sober living for adults. Avalon Recovery provides a warm and structured environment f | Programs Payment Options | I moved into the Avalon house about 8 months ago. It has really become a home to me. There is a lot of women in one home but we all manage to get along rather well. The Avalon house has been a safe , supportive, clean environment. We operate similar to the Oxford model in that we hold one another accountable. Anastasia is a hands on housing manager but she gives you the room you need to be an adult and make the decisions for your recovery that you feel are right. If you follow the rules, and prove to her that you re trustworthy then she affords you that trust and she is understanding. I truly believe that Avalon is one of the main reasons that I ve been successful in my recovery thus far.It s imperative in early recovery to surround one s self with like minded people and Avalon is absolutely a home that you will find the resources you need to grow and thrive into the person you want to be. I absolutely suggest this home to anyone that is willing to put in the work to live a sober life. It s all about what we put into it that determines what we get out of it.

Avalon is simply the best. The owner, Anastasia, is so genuinely invested in the success of every member in her program. She holds people accountable while also offering grace. She stands her ground on what she believes but also takes the time to truly listen. She's involved, caring, and earnestly invested in the path of recovery for every person she meets. You won't leave this program without being impacted by what she and avalon has to offer. It develops structure, elevates discipline, and guides people from a state of "is this possible?" to a reality of unfathomable possibilities and complete change.Avalon doesn't just change lives, it saves them

To be honest I could probably try and take a shot at this place and even maybe have reasons to but my life and my choices lead me to have to go to this place and in doing so I came out the other side clean and still am clean so for that I owe them forever can't blame a place for the actions they take when your own actions got you in that situation it gives you a chance what you do with that chance is on you not them it's about love and forgiveness and trying to do right sometimes people and places fall short thank you new life for everything love nate

Nurses Julia, Bethany, Lauren & Advocate Emma were very helpful and nice. It's hard to find people who care so much and I found 4 within my visit. Thank you for all you do! They offered me snacks, water or beverages, made sure everything that was done or talked about was comfortable, & made me feel valued as a patient. Very validating & understanding staff!
