Saint Mary’s Hospital – Methadone Maintenance Treatment Program in Brooklyn, New York, was an addiction treatment center for drug use disorders. It was a part of Saint Vincent Catholic Medical Centers offering medication assisted treatment to people seeking a recovery from opiate use. They are permanently closed.

Members of the community received the medically valuable opportunity to obtain vital FDA approved medications for the treatment of serious side effects from a nasty bout with withdrawals.

Daily maintenance of methadone is often required for patients since the tapering process is intended to be gradual. While not the same as simply self medicating or switching one drug for a different one, it still has a significant effect on the body in ways that benefit immediate sensation and mood while protecting people from dangerous seizures or the inability to keep food down.

Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility.
