We had looked at sandstone care often on for about a year before we made the decision to send him there. During our last talk, they reassured us they would be able to handle our son who had a habit of running. So we decided to admit him, with his agreement to go. When arriving there, They stressed the importance of when emailing email everybody on the list and always reply to all. And they would do the same, and that did not really Always reply to me and my wife. The first night, my son decided to run. They called us when we were in Kansas City, Missouri and we’re from St. Louis so we were about six hours away. When talking to D she Said she was a said she was a nursing administrator, and did not seem to care that he ran away and could not give us very much any information and was very nonchalant about the whole situation. We thought we left our son with people we could trust and we’re hours away and it seemed like they didn’t care and we were really frantic on the whole situation for his safety. One thing that we never told when we dropped our son off there was it may take up to an hour or more for the police to show up for a runaway from sandstone in Colorado Springs. When we were talking to Dee and we had mentioned that we might pull our son Dee pretty much said the bags be waiting on the porch. Dee even though Did not really care if we got him or not. My son ended up coming back on his own. And the next day when we talked to one of the directors, we said that we would come and get him. They said that’s exactly what he wants And you should stick to the program. So we left him there and on the following Monday he decided to leave again. Then we were called after that happened and we were told to come get him and we had 48 hours to come get him. And keep in mind we are roughly 12 hours away. So when you think of that way, they gave him exactly what they wanted. They never told us if he ran twice he’ll be kicked out of the program. If we would’ve known this, we would’ve got him on the first night that he Ran away. The funny thing is keeping him till Monday was just enough time to eat up all the deductible and for them to collect over $2000. One thing I would say about sand Stone, if your kid is not there in a court order and they’re known for on the way, do not waste your time or money. There’s a good chance you’re kid will run and they will not care and you’ll you’ll just be out money. Not once they offer our money back or any solutions that they said they could that they would consider helping. The 1st night that he had ran away, we were told that they had a locked facility that they could transport him Find out that was not the truth. In the end, they could not answer or was not willing to answer a lot of of our questions. So again, if your kid is not there on a court order and they are known runner Time or money they cannot handle them, or do they really care if they can or not.

They are exactly why 10s of thousands of people die every year from lack of "Healthcare!" I told him I had two distinct and well known threats on my life from both Factor 5 and 3 vertibrea crushing my cervical spinal cord. He repeatedly argued with me, hung up on me...and, blocked not only my cell number but my Google number as well. (I'll have to go get a 3rd, 4th, 5th numbers for them to block.) Guess I'll have to call someone else about my Xeralto dependency. This is exactly why I record not only my phone calls but every time I come even remotely close to any part of Healthcare especially the ER! Iffin you wanna hear the recordings feel to to holler at justagrashoper around that thar hotmail way.

I’ve had a great deal of exposure to recovery-focused businesses/programs and this was by far my best experience. Betty Jo, Alisha, and Ceana at the Fort Collins office truly understand the assignment, and treat everyone with respect and genuine care. They create an atmosphere that is both comfortable and solution-focused, which is a very difficult thing to do - a labor of love to say the least. If you are looking for an IOP-style recovery solution for yourself or a loved one in Fort Collins, look here first.

I was a client at AspenRidge Lakewood in May of 2018. I had an amazing therapist and Case manager that helped me and my family through a very difficult time. I have been thriving in recovery ever since. I have worked at AspenRidge North for 3 years now and would have never believed that I would be working with such an amazing team. Back in June of this year I was sent into the Kid/teen unit. It was my first time in a Mental hospital and I must say it was lovely. I met many amazing human beings and it was such a unique experience knowing that everyone else around me was down at rock bottom with me, but we were all still alive and helping ourselves. I heard so many tragic stories, yet these strong and beautiful people were still alive and kicking, even though all of our mental’s were bad. The staff was awesome too. I hope that everyone I met is doing better and I absolutely recommend this facility to those who are experiencing mental health issues.

I came in to the York Street location to get a meeting schedule on October 22 around 6:30 PM. I brought my expensive bicycle in just through the front door to find out where the meeting schedules were. The Front Desk guy said I can’t bring bicycles in, I said OK I’m just here for a meeting schedule, he didn’t give me the schedule he jumped up out of his chair and said I need to get out of here because I can’t have the bicycle in here. I said OK I will leave right away I just need a meeting schedule. He threatened to kick my ass with a billy club he raised it towards my head and nearly clobbered me. What kind of recovery center is this?? I wasn’t drinking I wasn’t on drugs I’m just riding my bicycle home from work and happened to be right at that location. I am seeking recovery but I will never return back to that location ever again. I was actually seriously scared for my well-being. I was not rude I explained what I was there for in this guy nearly forcibly removed me. He definitely threatened violence upon me. What kind of recovery center what kind of AA place is this??

The Jacob Center does not take their place in the community lightly. Coaches are trained and knowledgeable in subjects including trust intervention, resiliency, and trauma. Meetings between youths and families use community involvement to naturally encourage mindfulness and resiliency. The goals and outcomes of coaching are recorded and monitored by DHS, leading to multiple levels of highly informed care. The Jacob Center works hard to address the needs of the Northern Colorado community at an extremely sensitive level.

Serenity House is set at a key location in Loveland, CO. It's a great place to begin to rebuild with the balance of enough structure to keep centered and enough freedom to still experience a relatively normal life. I've been very comfortable since my arrival. The surrounding 12 step communities have arms wide open and are very close for those without transportation...very much recommended.

Set me with the foundation I needed for my new life. The Serenity house is a safe place for those looking to build a new life in recovery. Sobriety and recovery is so much more than leaving the substance behind. Community, building healthy relationships, and learning basic life skills are critical to sustained recovery. Serenity house is a home where you can begin to build these keys to a new life, one worth living. Sober living can be an intimidating choice, it was for me, but from the moment of arrival Serenity House felt like home. Give yourself a chance and consider the Serenity House for your transitional living needs.
Vance Hansen

I first arrived at Serenity House in 2010 and had 4 previous Sober Living House experiences with which to compare it to, and Serenity House won. I ended up staying there for 6 months when I decided that I was fit for reentering normal society, but I relapsed quickly and hightailed it back to a sober room there. It’s easy to blame everyone and everything for a relapse except yourself, and I started to blame Serenity House for drinking again, but as my mind cleared I realized that the blame lies exclusively with the disease and me. During the numerous times I’ve enthusiastically moved back to the Serenity House after making my life an alcoholic mess, I’ve always found it to be a safe, clean, and very tolerable place to begin or continue my recovery. The rules and responsibilities are sensible and reasonable. Presiding over a couple dozen addicts and/or alcoholics is like herding cats – it’s not always easy. Yes, it is a for-profit business, and yes, kudos to the owners for having a safe and comfortable place for us to get our act together.

I received info about connections from my PCP, looking for a way to find a counselor or therapist in my post-partum phase that accepted my insurance. I called and spoke to Kathy: she was warm and empathic and it truly felt like she cared about my well-being. I gave her my info, preferences of what kind of therapist I was looking for, and then that day or the next she sent me a list of providers that were in my insurance network. She did ALL the hard work. I picked one and began therapy. It’s one of the best things that’s ever happened to me. She even followed up a week or so later to make sure I was alright and able to connect with a therapist. This was almost a year ago. I tell anyone I’m able to about it because I truly believe this is such an incredible resource. Thank you!!!

This place is the best thing since Color Television! 😁 Seriously though, this place in and of itself.. was a contributing factor to which saved my life in the sense that when I knew ‘I was done’.. I had the BEST support & amazing championing from some amazing people sharing a common goal of maintaining their sobriety while putting their focus on their physical wellbeing and self esteem in their bodies and minds rather than just the ‘mumbo-jumbo’ of traditional, socially-conditioned methods of recovery in addiction and, having said being championed; I’d like to pay a respectable nod to a specific person, Carson.. whom by all accounts went out of the ordinary to see me thru a rather unorthodox necessity for assistance at a time when I was on the right path, yet.. just simply needed a hand-up and a simple ‘break’ and was obliged to help make a difference in my path and how I launched into my life of recovery and fitness! As a result of continuity and perseverance in this said path.. I now have the privilege and utmost pleasure of saying I’m a volunteer & will be soon be of service to the community within, and look forward to continuing my journey in my own recovery and the journey of others in their journey of growth and success within their lives as they pursue their fitness goals and aspirations as well! I had the opportunity to help with some service work and lent my time to clean some of the workout equipment, specifically the medicine balls, to which are highly utilized by many, and after approximately 32 hours of deep cleaning.. many more are using this equipment more often as they look brand new now! You can see the picture attached! ENJOY USING THE EQUIPMENT WHEN YOU COME IN TO WORKOUT 🏋️‍♂️ & MAY YOUR BODIES BE WELL & WITH YOU! 😁😎 🤜🏼💥🤛🏼

It's hard to describe the level of care and support that Rose House provides. No family ever wants to be in this situation, but Rose House provides a level of knowledge, confidence and assurance that we couldn't find anywhere else. The fact that it is female specific makes its mission that more effective in not only dealing with addiction but the underlying roots of abuse and trauma. We were desperate and they gave us our daughter back. This place is not an adult daycare or resort. They require not only the patients to do the hard work, but the families as well. If you care about your family member you have to put in the work as well, because these folks have a tough road ahead of them and no one goes it alone in life. For these people that need this level of care Rose House is superlative in giving patients and families the tools they need to turn their lives around.

I had a life changing experience during my stay at the Rose House. The staff are kind and firm at the same time. The dynamics between the clients is also a very therapeutic part of it all. I want to start this review by acknowledging that recovery from mental health issues, trauma and addiction is HARD. There is no one place that will be a good fit for everybody and no place will work until the client wants to change and is ready to do the very difficult work required for healing. We stumbled upon the Rose House when we had almost lost all hope for our 18 year old daughter. She had been in and out of various mental health facilities and rehab facilities but nothing worked. She was an addict but if she checked into a rehab facility the trauma she had experienced caused her to go into a fight or flight response. She acted out verbally and by self harming. Although they would claim to be a dual diagnosis center, they would always call us within a day or so and tell us they didn't have the type of facilities to help her. If we tried to get her residential mental health help we were told there was no such place. She could only be put on a 72 hour hold if she was a danger to herself or others. Our daughter's addiction began when a couple of men lured her into their trafficking scheme. She was 14 and they paid her a lot of attention. In her mind one of them was her boyfriend and she felt flattered that an older man would want her. They started giving her drugs in exchange for sex. Soon she needed the drugs to stop the feeling of guilt and disgust she felt from what was happening to her. When she finally said no to one of them he physically and forcibly raped her. I wish we had understood earlier what was going on. (This man is now serving 97 years in a Colorado prison) We walked into the Rose House and took a tour at her lowest point. She agreed to look at the Rose House but wasn't committing to going. After the tour we sat in Alison's office and I asked her if she thought the Rose House could help my daughter. Alison said if she is willing to come she is exactly who we help. My daughter said no one can help me I'm broken. My daughter checked herself in a few weeks later after being arrested for a DV situation and a high speed chase with the police. She spent a night in jail and realized she did not want to spend another one there. She had a court hearing. Alison met us there to support her and then took her to the Rose House. We couldn't speak to her for 2 weeks during the settling in period. Once we could communicate with her we saw growth every time we spoke or saw her. I asked her what was different this time. Her answer was 1. I'm ready for help and 2. the staff knows what they are doing and I know they care about me. I don't want to paint the wrong picture, recovery is never a straight line and it doesn't always happen in a set period of time. I was glad that the Rose House worked towards goals and that's what drove moving to the next step - not a set number of days on a calendar. They were also there on the tough days. Setting boundaries when needed, treating clients with respect and always showing compassion and consistency. The other thing that is different about the Rose House is that they really believe that the healing of the client's family is important and do a lot of work towards that with the weekly family zoom meeting and the family weekend. We learn that we can not control the decisions of our loved ones but we can set boundaries for ourselves. We can support them in their recovery but we can't do it for them. Our daughter graduated from the program and spent some time in the step down program. She is now 19, just received her 6 months chip for being clean and sober and is holding a fulltime job. She continues going to meetings almost everyday and is working with her own therapist to continue the work that was started in the Rose House. I honestly believe that if we hadn't found the Rose House she would be dead now. Instead I get to hug her everyday and get to see the wonderful woman she is becoming. The Rose House and it's staff have our undying gratitude.

As an Addiction Counselor and Family Coach, I have worked with families whose children have been in varying levels of treatment at Sandstone Care. Their residential treatment for adolescents is outstanding, serving this younger population, for which there are not as many treatment options. Their IOP for adolescents and young adults is also excellent, and includes a family support element. Their staff is professional, compassionate, and responsive to individual's unique needs. I would highly recommend Sandstone Care for adolescent and young adult treatment of substance use disorders.

While I was a little hesitant getting into treatment like most, the staff at sandstone were extremely patient and caring throughout the whole process. I attended and completed the dual diagnosis iop program while in treatment the staff at sandstone did an amazing job to make me feel welcome and comfortable and addressed and concerns quickly and effectively. The groups were very involved and really challenged me to grow as a person. After treatment I’ve been attending the alumni program that meets regularly and does fun events. It’s been a really good way to connect with others in the sober community and to get the extra support when I need it. I would highly recommend looking into sandstone if your considering treatment or haven’t found a place that’s right for you.

I went through sandstone twice. Once when I was 18 and again when I was 19. At the time I was not willing to admit that I had a problem with substances. I thought I had everything figured out. The years after I had graduated the program I was able to prove to myself that I still knew nothing about my alcoholism. I am grateful for sandstone since I wouldn’t have even been able to have any type of knowledge about my own substance use if it wasn’t for the amazing staff over at sandstone. They helped me get my foot through the door into the world of recovery. I don’t know where I would be without sandstone and I am beyond grateful for the effort the staff puts in to help people with their mental health/substance abuse. I now have a great relationship with my family, a true connection with my friends and most important I have a life worth living now. That is just the surface of what recovery has brought into my life. I have sandstone to thank for that!

The best detox i have been too. Im surprised they take medicaid. All of staff are exceptional, they treat you like a human, and are willing to go out of the way to help you. Conor, your the man! The facility is a bit small and laid out kind of funky, but you get essentially a hotel room with a TV. Private bathroom and good shower. Yes, you may share the room with someone, but most of us i'm sure have been bunked up with a lot more than one other. Food was good, snacks when ever you want. You may smoke outside and vape indoors. If in the Springs or Pueblo it's definitely worth the drive. I'll definitely be recommending this place to anyone I know that is thinking of a detox facility. Thank you very much to all that helped.

They Canceled my VA dermatology appointment since October of last year. I went into the office today after my last cancelation and then they stated it was because of the patient. Your scheduling team knows they are wrong for that. I know know what's going on with their scheduling here but its not right and they aren't servicing veterans. No one can give me answers, no one knows anything. I am tired of going up there but will continue. The design of the building is just as bad.... this place needs to be revamped in their scheduling department. All of the staff their is nice but that scheduling department is trash. Update/ 11/10/25 After this post the scheduling seem to finally get me in with Dermatology. I am not on track with treatment.
