I like this methadone clinic a lot. I switched from Hartford Dispensary which was a horrible experience.My counselor is the best and really cares about me and my sobriety and other personal problems.Her name is Stephanie. I was a little nervous about going to a psych hospital that was an hour and a half from where I lived, but I have nothing to say but good things about this facility. The shrink wasn't the best, but the nurses and support staff were amazing. I spent a little over 2 weeks there, and it really helped. Not my preferred psych facility, but they really helped. So, if yr having trouble dealing with mental health, and in need of help, this place won't do you wrong. And the food was very good. Once they realized I was a vegetarian, I got great food. This place helps you put things into perspective. After my stay, I know I won't need to go anywhere else. They made me understand that I'm ok. And that's a feeling I haven't had in a while.

I visit CHC pretty frequently. The ladies are friendly, they smile, no matter how loud a patient gets. God bless them. My Chiropractor Dr. Valbrun, AMAZING! I was very hesitant to go but knew that I needed help. Found out that they had a military program and it made it a little better being able to relate to others. Though the days are long and a lot of information is taught and passed, it was well worth my time. Everyone is very professional, polite, easy going, and knowledgeable. I would say I'd go back but in reality it's not something you should strive to do. That being said, it helped me tremendously so I don't need to go back, that's the whole point! Great staff, got to hand it to them. They have quite the patience with the folks that come into the detox unit. Its never easy. But they do a wonderful job. Get to get outside everyday. Doesnt feel like other places that are like a prison. I'd highly recommend coming here. Remember its up to YOU and if YOU want to change.

The IOP was very helpful for me. A majority of the staff were very supportive and helpful. There is one woman there “beau” I think is how you spell her name. Always giving me dirty looks, I would wave at her and no response. It made me very uncomfortable in a therapeutic setting.

IOL has been there for me when I was at rock bottom. My first time there in December 2023 was ok, the staff was kind except for one tech from the adult unit... When I went back last December, I ended up staying for Christmas, and the staff did their best to make us happy with gifts, games, etc. I stayed for almost a month and started becoming myself again with help from my favourite tech and my favorite nurses. This was the first place that actually treated me like a human being while being in a psych facility. Most of the staff were still there from the first time and they had a better understanding with what was going on. I was so happy they remembered what had helped me last time.

My mom has been seeing Dr Foreman for at least 10 years and she drives 30 minutes for him even though she's nervous driving. She's always said how nice all of the receptionists are. I left a message yesterday to get an initial appointment but haven't heard back. I'll be calling again tomorrow because I absolutely hate where I am currently. I like the facility and staff for the most part. Didn't like the amount of smoke breaks or at least how far apart they were. If you can check yourself out of the place I don't see why you're not trusted to smoke in their enclosed area. But the food was good. The chef there, John, made sure you had multiple options available

Rushford Glastonbury truly has something special going with their evening IOP program. Everyone I have had the pleasure of working with has gone the extra mile to help me in my journey. From the director, to the clinicians, to the provider, to the administrators.
The evening clinicians are extremely insightful and kind. I have worked with many clinicians over the years and have never made progress like I have with the ones at Rushford Glastonbury.
The provider has worked with me closely to get me back on track with my medications.
I cannot recommend them enough.

Wonderful programs full of caring, patient, and respectful clinicians. Their IOP program was top notch. Rushford also has an in-house medication provider that was very accessible and responsive to patient needs. Highly recommend Rushford for anyone looking for a new way of life 🙏❤️

You can tell the staff here is overworked but the place was still clean and felt safe and the meals were decent. They do a good job of providing a structured environment where you can take solid steps to start recovery

Great internship opportunity working in Staff Development after being denied ability to be a Summer RA @ Uconn despite rocking the interviews and saving a resident from ramifications who ultimately got the summer job (that resident was so rude to me smh and even ignored me in the interview process like I didn't just help her land an opportunity). My mentor in Jane was amazing and she supported me when a staff came in like a hawk questioning me about watching her presentation on diabetes (talking bout ohh I thought staff development was trying to watch me through you as an intern 😅 😒). Ms. Fleischmann will forever be a fav bc I learned so much under her direction. Not only in knowledge but in life. So much love there.

They saved my life and gave me a life I never thought would be possible. If you're questioning getting on the program then please give it a chance it's worth it. I went from homeless and jobless to having a beautiful home a beautiful career and a beautiful family and most importantly of all I'm actually happy. The only time I encountered issues with this program was when there was issues with myself that I had to work on. Once I figured that stuff out, the program became very useful resource for me, in fact the most important resource in my recovery has been ROOT and CCAR combined. So grateful this program exists!

I joined this program almost 5 months ago (6/15/23), and so far I am very pleased with the services that they provide. I have been on 2 other programs (New Era in Bridgeport and CT Counciling Center in Danbury) prior to my joining the Root Center, and in my experience, the Root Center is a far better program. The nurses, the councilors, and the rest of the staff are extremely professional while maintaining a warm and friendly atmosphere for their patients. Unfortunately, I did have a couple of false positive urinalysises. However, when they saw how upset I was over the error, they believed me, and approved my take home bottles anyway. That would have NEVER HAPPENED at the other programs I have been on. If you are struggling with addiction and are considering joining the Root Center, do it. Today could be the day that you begin to turn it all around. Make the call. God bless!!
It has been a couple of months since my last review. In that time I had my bottles recalled for another false positive. There's been a lot of talk at the program about this issue. Apparently this isn't a "me" problem. It's a "we" problem. Because a high (no pun intended) number of clients are complaining about false positives, and to me, that's a problem. I can't speak for everyone else, but in my case, I know that I haven't used since 6/23. It's now 1/24. I shouldn't have any drugs left in my system. The Root Center really needs to address and fix this issue. Not only is it unfair to be treated punitively when you are innocent of wrongdoing, it is also dangerous to the addict. It's the sort of thing that can topple someone's recovery.
