Been with Forge for close to two years now. Therapist adam is the best and is on top of things not only with mental health but if you have a question regarding almost anything he will help you find it and email it to you right away. To help you succeed in any way shape or form from getting medical information to getting you housing information. Great dude. For medication management also A+, though I’m fairly new with Forge on this, Iojeme met with me and understood my hesitation and LISTENED to me as opposed to many others (other practices) who just want to throw other stuff down your throat and we all know why, it’s 2025 people, cats been out of the bag for a long time. Here’s xx amount of money to peddle this product. I have not seen that with Forge, even the front desk when I call have all been wonderful. I also attend a group therapy with Andayah another straight caring person, who guides group very well and always helpful. A+s all around.

I honestly can’t believe I have not written a review for Forge yet, but there’s no time like the present, right? My mental health journey experience with Forge has been nothing but positive. My therapist, Jess (formerly out of the Toms River location) is honestly the best therapist I’ve ever had, and I don’t know what I would do without her! She gives me everything I need from therapy, our sessions are always great conversation, she has gotten to know me so well that she always has great advice and has truly helped me become a better human being for myself and for others. I could sing Jess’ praises to the rooftops, but what I love so much about Forge is even more than that… A few months ago I really struggled and I truly would not have gotten thru it the way I have and stayed sober without Jess and so many others at Forge. They checked in with me daily, I got phone calls from the program director, etc. Even the office manager Vicki was always quick to respond to my emails and help me in every way she could. Now a few months later, in helping advocate for my boyfriend and his mental health we’ve been given the same support I was met with. Within an hour of reaching out for help we were met with an immediate email response from one program director (who was out of office and still wrote back immediately, mind you) and a phone call from the other both eager to take the time to help us get him the treatment he needs and deserves. Nevermind in just mental health care, but in ALL health care I feel as though this level of care for clients is unheard of, and I am so grateful to have found them.

Levels of Care

Outpatient rehabs enable clients to receive a full continuum of care while continuing to live at home. They're often ideal for clients who are stepping down from inpatient care but some clients may prefer to transition into outpatient treatment immediately after completing detox. Many outpatient facilities also offer ambulatory medical detox for low-risk clients. Outpatient treatment generally includes psychotherapy and life skills training. Clients in opioid and/or alcohol recovery may also receive medication assisted treatment (MAT).

Clients who are exiting inpatient rehab, those who are experiencing crisis, and those who prefer to live at home while in treatment typically enroll in intensive inpatient programs (IOP). These programs feature frequent and robust care, generally requiring clients to participate in at least nine hours of care weekly, though many intensive outpatient rehabs offer up to 20 treatment hours per week. IOP services typically combine individual, group, and family counseling with recovery education and holistic therapies.

Telehealth is a real-time communication between you and your physician via telecommunications equipment. This might involve a video call, phone call, or medical app. It may also include the transmission of medical information via sharing technology.

Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.

Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehabs for women provide a safe, nurturing space for female clients to heal. These treatment programs consider the specific obstacles that women can face during recovery and place a special emphasis on mental, social, physical, and reproductive health. They explore how each woman's experience has shaped the trajectory of their substance use, addressing issues such as sexual abuse and past trauma.

Men face specific challenges and concerns when seeking addiction treatment. Gender-specific recovery programs help them tackle these issues head-on in an environment that's focused, targeted, and distraction-free. It also gives them the opportunity to connect with and learn from other men who have been through a similar journey and can offer support for the next step.

Serving in the military is both mentally and physically challenging, and can result in trauma that persists even after combat ends. Clients often access these programs through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).

These include coping skills, relapse prevention plans, and developing resilience, all of which are essential for long term recovery.

Family therapy sessions address addiction related conflicts and other issues between members of the family unit. By strengthening communication and coping skills, as well as creating a nurturing environment, the family can help support their loved one's recovery.

Trauma therapy provides a structure to approach healing from past traumatic events that you may have witnessed or experienced. Your therapist will work with you to identify and process these memories. This helps promote a sense of safety and stability and helps you heal emotionally.

The therapist helps clients identify their life challenges and their thoughts surrounding those challenges. The client then learns to identify unhealthy thought patterns and reshape those into healthy patterns of thinking and behavior.

Most experts in couples therapy are trained in several modes of treatment. This allows your therapist to draw from various techniques to personalize your therapy for your needs. Building life skills allows you to demolish negative patterns of behavior and build new, healthy patterns. By building new thought processes, coping strategies, and behaviors, you establish a solid foundation for recovery.

Dialectical means opposing. The premise of dialectical behavior therapy is to learn how two things that seem to be opposite can actually be true. You learn how to accept yourself while also making changes. The focus is on accepting your emotions and changing how you manage them.

Sabrina was me and my girlfriend‘s couple therapist. We both been to forge before and we both decided to do couples therapy and Sabrina was a counselor. She was good at first and then I saw her taking shots at myself in my opinion she’s raciest but oh well . so I decided not to continue with the therapy but my girlfriend did I don’t know what forge but runs will be here, but His therapist are talking crap/shit about other patients they used to have. I don’t think she should be doing therapy to be honest with you.

Completed a 2-hour long intake appointment with the clinic director. Upon signing the paperwork 2 or 3 days later, I was immediately informed there were no openings. The lack of professionalism and willingness to respect a patients time and needs is clearly why this facility is ranked so low. I'm hoping this review will assist others within the New Jersey community steer clear of this unhelpful and ignorant organization and haphazardly ran office. Take my word for it; or roll the dice and see for yourselves.

Please don't waste your time with Forge Health. My first experience is with a therapist who thought it was okay to eat lunch during our initial appointment. When I requested to see another therapist, the second one gave me a flat-out attitude for no reason. They don't call back and they don't respond to medication refills. Management is no better. Expect a lot of babysitting on any/all requests.

Horrible experience with psychiatry. I felt like a burden during my appointments and eventually just stopped telling the psychiatrist my current mental health symptoms, after she laughed once while I was. I was shocked and pretty devastated. I never received any medication guidance and had to pull from past experiences and the internet to try and determine what would work best for me. At our final appointment she practically questioned out right why I even made the appointment and was so quick to rush off the call that I was so flustered I never even got to mention I stopped taking one of my meds due to negative side effects. I asked to change providers but based on other reviews I don’t think it would be any better or more professional.
