All staff, nurses, mha's etc were awesome in helping me with my condition, the only negative things were more communication needs to be done for your loved ones at home that are not sure how you actually are and what your treatment plans are. Also some of the security officers at the front desk are rude and abrasive to family members trying to bring needed supplies as they're not sure what to do or where to go. Lastly when things are brought in to security it shouldn't take a full day to get it to you. The staff who cared for me in Short Term Care were all phenomenal, but Kelly and Jakob(sp?) stood out in particular. I came in to the facility with a horrible attitude after spending a terrible night at Community, and they turned me around. And the food was good! Her knowledge, professionalism, and genuine concern for my well-being gave me tremendous confidence throughout my recovery. I always felt that she was invested in my healing, and that made all the difference. What impressed me most about GenPsych is that everyone works together as a team. From the therapists to the medical providers to the support staff, you can feel that they genuinely want every patient to succeed. Recovery isn’t easy, but having people like this walking beside you makes the journey far less overwhelming. Whether you are struggling with depression, anxiety, addiction, trauma, or other mental health challenges, I wholeheartedly recommend GenPsych. Once there, it took a bit to be paired with a therapist who I was really able to relate with. That said, my therapist has been a great Blessing, and really cares. After asking a few well pointed questions, I found out that they have a job placement service as well. The person I've been paired with genuinely cares as well, and is trying her damndest to find me a job where my skillset and knowledge would be best used. I'm very Blessed to be in such good hands. john locklin jr 1 month ago I went to bright harbor healthcare for years for my daughter ( I go there for myself also and I love my therapist) however her experience was sub par and I have some HUGE reservations with her last therapist especially because she tried to talk my daughter into taking HRT behind my my back which she didn’t even want them. I took them out and switched her to preferred and now she sees Megan and WOW she is doing so much better she’s so much more communicative and open her behavior has drastically changed and I feel like I’ve got my child back. I recommend them to anyone that sees that their child is going through a rough time. I mean people think that treatment centers are 5 star hotels and don’t remember that this a rehab center where it’s about focusing on urself and becoming a better person as you are reintroduced into life as a functioning member of society. From both Dons, who really were incredible men and I could tell that that truly cared about me. Legal don even made a point to tell my family that I am a good person and asked my gf to take care of me and that showed me that I cared. Counselor Jen cares and truly cared about my well being. She might have been upset I was leaving but still went out of her way to help me with after care. I was told that it wasn't an issue. They were ordering mouse wads as far as drug testing goes then I find out weeks later, but that's not going to be allowed and I can get a doctors note and they may or may not honor it. Then I was told the groups were 6-9 Tuesday Wednesday Thursday. I had inquired about afternoon groups as that's really late at night, I was told that Tuesday morning there was an afternoon group and there was an instrument in Friday morning group. Oh well again Jake gave me misinformation because he didn't even bother to look in my files to know that I was at level IOP not OP therefore I wouldn't be able to do the Tuesday morning or Friday afternoon. Intermittent Group, and also not telling me that Monday night was also an option as well as Friday nights being an option. Edit to update my review. Although there was weeks of misinformation given by Jake, I decided to just ask to speak with someone else I've been in contact with Carissa and she has been extremely kind and has been very helpful into getting this process started. Thank you Carissa Edit again: all though getting enrolled wasn't the most ideal process I can say the groups are really great and the counselors are all so kind. Dana has such a huge heart as do they all and they do all truly care about the clients.
