RCA is a great facility for anyone looking to start working on getting sober. It helps in setting you up for your journey of Recovery. They lay down the foundation we have to take action and do the work. The facility is spacious, clean, calm and quiet. The rooms are comfortable and the food is great. A place to relax and reflect. The RCA staff is great! Housekeeping Dept, All the Nurses, the Chef and the food service staff, the RSS's like Mike, Stephanie, Dorothy, Jazz, Ben, Bobby, Antonio just to mention a few (All RSS's are helpful & understanding). Marguerite - Senior Alumni Coordinator, Kelly in Finance, Jeff, Ed, and all the case workers All the Therapist especially Bidal and Ben. I recently had a memorable experience at RCA. They helped me to work on me and my sobriety. I recommend RCA. Let's begin to surrender and achieve sobriety one day at a time.

I was surprised and impressed when the Lyons VA reached out to me to see if I needed an appointment. Prior to them reaching out to me I hadn't realized when I connected with the East Orange VA medical center that they have an over abundance of patients. The call was outstanding because no VA hospital has ever done that for me. That's outstanding and squared away and I'm very impressed with the East Orange and Lyons VA medical centers. I have been receiving medical treatment at Lyons and East Orange for over 12 years.. and have interacted with many medical professionals and staff.. in any large hospital setting, you will encounter dedicated people and sometimes, some that are just not smart enough to gargle. I recently had shoulder surgery and I rate it 5 stars 110%. Drs, nurses, staff were outstanding and the scheduling was perfect. God Bless all those who take care of us veterans at both hospitals.

Mountainside has been amazing in support of our son as well as us as parents throughout this challenging and painful journey of addiction!! In particular, The Sober Coach, Morris, that is working directly w our son and in tandem with us is absolutely amazing in so so many ways. He has and continues to go up and above each and every day!! My son has been working with Morris, a Recovery Coach at Mountainside for the past eight months and the experience has been exceptional for us both! Morris truly understands how to support recovery in a real world, day to day way. The coaching goes further than check-ins. It includes accountability, life skills, emotional support, and sometimes honest hard conversations. My son has learned how to manage challenges, make healthier choices and is learning how to stay focused on his long-term goals. The progress he’s made has been remarkable and I credit much of that to the consistent well informed coaching he receives. Not only does Morris provide coaching to my son, his expertise extends to me as well. He is highly responsive and always follows through. Mountainside’s Recovery coaching is more than a service. It feels like it’s a true partnership. As a mom navigating this process, I am grateful for the guidance, structure, the encouragement and situational advice Morris provides. I would recommend their coaching without hesitation to any family who’s looking for meaningful sustained support around sobriety. This has made a significant difference for my family. Early recovery, albeit exciting, can be fragile, and I cannot imagine having gone through this experience without the coaching Morris provides.

My daughter’s recovery coach Jeanine Ierardi, was amazing!!! She was the best that Mountainside could offer as a recovery coach. She went far and beyond helping and supporting us through the most difficult time in our lives. She saved our daughter’s life!!! Id love to give these guys a 5 but recently I was dropped due to insurance. ( I have medicaid. Which makes me less fortunate then others who pay for there insurance) so after about a year and a half. Outside of that the groups are excellent the facilitators truely care, and the people who are the ones that really make the groups they are great. I thibk due to the telahealth aspect people are more willing to dig into there traumas and passed. I can only hope they 1 day accept medicaid again not only for me but all the other addicts and alcoholics who cant afford insurance to 1 day be able to receive treatment in the same manor I did.

Choice point was such an amazing place to focus on my recovery they helped me so much to focus on my recovery helped me stay clean and also helped me become a better person I will definitely miss this place ❤️thank u to my counselor melisssa Darrien and my peers in group and all the counselors and staff at choice point for helping me be me again ❤️best rehab I ever been too ❤️thank u so much

Excellent therapists who seem to really care. From time of intake until you are actually assigned a therapist was quite fast. The therapists are compassionate and experienced.

Im gonna be flatout honest i came here ungrateful and with a rotten attitude the groups were amazing and i learned a lot from them… people there are kind some of them are a little harder but i look at it as tough love… the only reason im giving them 4 stars was they had no dryer for a month but other than that my complaints are non-existent

Great place for veteran health care... Been coming here since I got discharged. You just have to learn to work with the government standards and requirements; also the appts, may be far out, but then it's pretty awesome health care.

The best place to start your recovery journey

This is by far the best place I've ever been to. They actually care about you and your recovery. Touching base and keeping you healthy physically and mentally. Not only do the staff care about you they always have smiles on their faces and make you laugh and feel welcome. I completed this program after my 12 weeks and still show up when i can to do the recovery based workout and yoga/meditation. That is one of the many perks of this program. When you complete your part of the soarfit family for life as long as you keep doing what your supposed to do. Highly recommend!!!

I coined out of IOP last week. When I first started in mid July, I was a wreck. I was on leave from my jobs, I couldn’t do simple daily functions such as, shower, cook, hold a conversation with someone, or even organize my thoughts enough to write a to do list. I kept crying, on and off every day. My anxiety was crippling. I was starting to become paranoid and even hallucinate because I was so unwell. But there were three things I kept telling myself, “trust the process”, “stay consistent”, “be engaged in each group you attend.” I did all three of those things and I got my life back. Started my jobs this week, can complete all daily tasks, I’m calm, I’m confident and I’m positive now. It truly feels surreal the positive impacts everyone has had on me at Absolute Awakenings.Staff & peers. And even more surreal to have learned the positive impacts | left on so many peers & even staff. This program saved me. From myself. I cannot say enough good things about this place! Take that step and get the help you need! It will all be okay.

I had a very good experience at Absolute Awakenings, I came in from detox for alcoholism and completed the PHP program at Absolute Awakenings. The staff was attentive, professional and encouraging. Nicole who was my clinician was great, she really helped me in our one on one sessions and in my relapse prevention plan. I can’t say enough about the professional staff, Matt, Amy, Dina,Courtney, Kayla, Brian, Jamie and Nicole, Thank you for the foundation to begin my recovery journey and the courage to admit I’m an alcoholic and not care what people think. I’m proud I admitted to needing help to stop my drinking and made that phone call for help.

5 Stars isn't enough, they need a 10 Star option. Riverview Medical Center and all of the staff that work there and all of the medical staff that works there are absolutely amazing. Such caring people and they really do a great job on keeping families informed and in a comfortable setting. Myself or my family have never once had any issues at Riverview. One of my family members was recently in ICU and the nurses there are just so kind and friendly and so amazing at keeping you knowing exactly what's going on in addition to always making sure the patient is okay as often as possible. I would truly recommend this Hospital for any and all medical needs because they are top of the line!!

This is for review is for nurse Annabel (I hope I got her name right but I was pretty out of it ) I’ve never been compelled to write a review like this but hopefully her superiors give her a raise or some acknowledgement for being such a kind and professional person. I came into the hospital last night 10/26 around 6pm and my pain is was at a 12, I could hardly walk or function.. I have a chronic condition l and can’t say I’ve always had the best expediences in the ER. It can be a scary situation on top of being profiled and pushed away. Annabella was assigned to me and was an absolute angel. She made me feel safe, took me seriously and made me feel like a human at a very low point in my life. I’m a hard stick and I could hardly even feel her pit in the IV. I’m not allowed to eat food and she made sure to bring me juice and liquids and listen to my vents and concerns., Thank you again and good luck in future, you really helped me on a dark day.

Where do I begin? The team of doctors here is truly exceptional. Dr. Glombicki, RN Krystyna, Dr. Saad, Dr. O Riley, and many others have provided incredible care during my husband's emergency. Their compassionate communication, genuine concern, and continuous updates meant the world to us, and I can’t thank them enough. I look forward to expressing my gratitude in future visits. Without their help, we might have faced a much worse situation. These young doctors are destined for remarkable careers. I am especially grateful to Ms. Krystyna—she is an angel from above. 🫶🏻

I just spent 7 days at this hospital . I’ve been there before bc I had my original surgery on my intestines there 15 ya . This time I came back to having emergency surgery for a blockage. The original admitting staff was so quick with getting my surgeon to me. By the time he got there he was up to date on my scans etc rushed me into surgery saying they would explore first then try to fix any issue . My recovery was in a beautiful wing had my own room . The nurses were amazing specifically Morgan , Danielle . Victoria and Raasha . All of the primary care techs were also great. I wish I could say it was a good experience but beigg ng sick never is but for a bad one it was good. Dr Flanagan under my original surgeon Dr Rolandelli were also great .

I enjoyed the entire time that I was being prioritized with the best of care and attention for my addiction and mental wellbeing and I was able to get discharged in a positive multifaceted mindset which encouraged my mental state for a positive outcome while also being prepared with the correct tools to ensure that I am able to succeed in my battle with addiction, depression and anxiety.

Words cannot explain how great this program is and the positive influence it has had on my family member’s life. Staff are accommodating, supportive, patient and extremely professional. The entire environment encourages personal growth and long-term sobriety. I would absolutely recommend this program to families looking for support for a loved one struggling with addiction.

I definitely recommend this place if you're battling addiction. The staff is very welcoming and straight up. The facility was very clean, the food was amazing, did I mention that the staff was amazing, because they were. Please give Soba a chance before you go anywhere else. Love you guys at Soba.

My experience at this facility was genuinely positive and something I will always be grateful for. From the friendly, welcoming, and accommodating staff to the clean and comfortable environment, I felt supported throughout my stay. There was a great balance of structure, recovery, and opportunities to enjoy ourselves, including AA and NA speakers who shared their experiences and reminded us that recovery is possible, movie nights, group chats, and trips to the park and gym. One of the biggest things this experience gave me was a sense of stability. It helped me quiet my mind, regain perspective, and, most importantly, restore hope. I left with a healthier outlook and lifestyle, along with an introduction to the AA and NA communities and the importance of building a support system outside of treatment. These are things I honestly don’t believe I would have been able to establish or accomplish on my own. All of the staff were wonderful, and I genuinely appreciate the kindness and care they showed. Mike always found a way to keep the environment light and fun, make us laugh (something I hadn’t done in a long time), make sure our bellies were full, and check that everyone was doing okay. I came in feeling overwhelmed and unsure of myself, and I left with something I hadn’t felt in a long time: hope, perspective, and a renewed commitment to myself, my children, and my future. I would absolutely recommend this facility to anyone who is ready to make a positive change in their life.

The entire staff at this facility especially the director Mike are absolutely incredible. They your best interest in mind and show a genuine love for their job and you.

Putting my review in a nutshell,"my mother always told me to "fake it until you make it" and by becoming a rehabilitated human being at,Carnegie Hill Institute,again,I no longer have to fake it. And if there were anyone else I'd thank,besides the Lord,for seeking life' purpose,I thank the generosity of spirit and the way they come from love first and of in their successes at making sure I can regain the trust of others because they trust in me. I've been a client at Carnegie Hill Institute for quite a number of years. I had been in treatment for years, and I can sincerely state that the treatment plans offered by the staff are the most effective that I have encountered so far.

What time is the last call patients are able to make?

In my humble opinion, this is the best place you can go for help. Whether detox or rehab. The staff is wonderful and kind, the accommodations are good, and the food is great! This is the best place you can go, when you need help. They REALLY! REALLY! REALLY! help. May God bless everyone who needs help, this is the best place to go!

The way you treated us with respect, compassion, and genuine care says so much about your work ethic and your character. Ash and Mike S - thank you for your patience and for always treating us with love, kindness, and respect. You made us feel like human beings, and that means more than you know. Stephan, Johnny, Gary, and Antwo—thank you for everything. The list of people I appreciate could honestly go on. Joe—you’re the man! Thank you for helping me even when you didn’t have to. To anyone considering coming here: if you’re serious about getting help, staying focused on your goals, and working on your sobriety, you can absolutely succeed here. One thing I learned is that treating others with respect goes a long way. This isn’t a resort, so don’t expect a different meal every day or luxury accommodations. Like any program, there are some downsides, but for me, there were far more positives than negatives. I left with valuable lessons, support, and hope. At the end of the day, recovery starts with you and with the mindset you choose to have. Thank you to everyone who helped me during my stay. I truly appreciate everything you did, and I wish you all nothing but the best.

Christian Health brought my dad back to life! After a a terrible two months in the hospital, my dad had weakened his swallow muscles and couldn’t eat or drink. He had a stomach feeding tube when he entered the rehab facility. He wasn’t walking independently but Amanda Burkart, the speech pathologist at Christian health brought so much energy, positivity and consistency in her care that my dad started eating and drinking and passed his swallow test. The nurse and care staff: Jetta, Nancy, Akina and Marwa were all so attentive and caring. I also appreciated Trisha who helped me manage all the follow up appointments for my dad. I can’t say enough positive things about Christian Healths Rehab staff. All the PT and OT staff were amazing too! Thank you for bringing my dad back to life! We are all so grateful!
