I am going on my 7th year here. When I had my first appointment I was so scared and nervous that I was going to be judged or looked at differently. Not even one member of staff has ever made me feel that way. What I would tell myself and anyone afraid to take that leap. You are worth it, you deserve to be drug and/or alcahol free and happy. It hurts nothing to try. Help, health and happiness is really only a call away. I'm not gonna lie it's not easy at first but as time goes on before you know it you won't even think about any substance any more. You are worth it!!!!!

Having been through the WisHope Step-Down Housing Program and Wis Hope Treatment Program, I can tell you first hand, that this is a program that can change your entire life, if getting sober and improving your life is truly what you are ready for and willing to do. I struggled with the use of heroin/fentanyl/pain pills for 20 years. It wasn't WisHope that made me stop using. It was "Me" that made "Me" stop using. And it is Wis Hope that co-signed every single step I took to NOT get high every day or give in to the cravings that made me doubt everything that I was doing. Wis Hope offered me the support I needed from day to day to make sure I reached the only goal I wanted to achieve. And that was to make sure I hit my pillow every single night sober! I didn't give a damn if I didn't get one thing done on my "To-do-Lists". And then when I was ready to take the next step, Wis Hope was ALWAYS and still is right there behind me supporting me and giving me the strength I need to realize that I am worth way more than I ever gave myself credit for. They helped me find my purpose again. I have so much to be grateful and thankful for every single day. Instead of chasing that next high and wasting my time degrading and de-facing myself, I amhappy and eager in accomplishing my goals to become the best version of myself. So much that because of my determination and focus, I am now an employee for WisHope helping other people reach their goals and helping them to get past the pain and suffering I once knew all to well. I was just discharged from there today. I came into the ER, was admitted, and then had my gallbladder removed. From the moment I arrived there, it felt like most hospitals used to feel. It felt like a place where they would do everything they could to get you feeling better. These types of hospitals seem to be getting harder to find. There were so many excellent doctors, nurses, and staff that I interacted with over the 4 days I was there. Especially nurses Gwen Kay, Rose Whitehead, and the doctors in my surgical team. Everyone was great, but I'm terrible with remembering names so please forgive me. Anyway, please keep doing what you're doing. It was about as great of an experience as one could have while still walking away missing an organ. Thank you for everything!

This place saved my life, I was entirely lost and mentally stranded after years of mistakes. I never learned how to function as an adult in the real world, which exactly what Roots taught me. The sober living program provides a very structured schedule, helps build disciplines, and teaches real life skills alongside how to live a happy life in recovery. When I first got to roots I was very shut down and isolated, I wanted nothing to do with anyone including myself, I had no hope left. I have now been at roots for a year and I can truly say that roots gave me my life back. I have learned how to trust others, myself, and be more vulnerable which has helped me make connections with other sober people in my community, and rebuild the ones that I had tore down in my active addiction. The structure helped me to stay accountable and relearn what everyday life is like outside of using, I forgot how to be a human outside of drugs and alcohol and roots helped me to build up my skills again. I could go on and on about how much roots has changed my life but I can assure you that in the year I have been here I am a completely different person and I am so beyond grateful I came to roots and that the people within roots never lost hope in me!

Just got home from Burkwood yesterday! Definitely recommend them. The counselors are rough but that’s because they care. I’ve been to treatment before, however this time learned way more than I ever have. The nursing staff is knowledgeable and helpful. While the doctor only comes on Wednesday she is amazing. And don’t let me forget the cooks Bret and Val! They are definitely top notch! Thank you everyone at Burkwood!

If you are looking to be the best version of yourself, you have found it!!! Burkwood is a Tony Robins style boot camp. This centered based program is a master class on recovery, in my opinion, it's the one place you can really start over and begin the change so desperately needed for the road to recovery!!! The staff at Burkwood is second to none. The RA's and nurse's understand you and are amazing people!!! The cooks created fantastic food (Michelin Star grade) three squares and dessert!!! Also snacks on deck😉 The counselors are fantastic and each has a unique experience which gives better perspective on your journey! You can really emerse yourself in the program if you keep an open mind, don't get in your own way, and mind your bobber. With the community, you will feel like family, not only with the clients but the staff as well! People really care here and you will feel it! The comrodary you may not have known you needed is here and helps you become healthy, not only for yourself but in relationships and life over all. The best version of yourself is waiting to be realized!! Everyone I know has congratulated my achievements since graduating this program. I have no regrets and a much clearer pathway to my goals in recovery. After here, life really begins!

I have been to the residential treatment program in Tomah three to four times. I had to return because I have PTSD, substance abuse, anxiety, depression and also physical ailments. When I went to Tomah I had a discussion initially with my case manager and I told her that she had to be hard on me and keep it real. Get on my cage when needed and everything. During my treatment I got upset because she was keeping it real getting on my case. When I looked at her she wasn't smiling and hard-faced and everything. I reported it to the supervisor and asked her to to change my case managers. Of course you did. I. I blamed myself for what happened to me in the military and caused my PTSD. The second time I returned I worked hard with her and everything still skeptical about the way she felt about me. On the last meeting we had, we battled we argued but at the end of that meeting I did not blame myself anymore. I thanked her and gave her a hug and then she smiled tomah and their residential treatment program is the best I have ever had. Their groups are great. They're not large groups. They make sure you understand the topic. All the case. Managers and facilitators are great. I would recommend that program to any of my fellow veterans. Thank you rttp for everything you have given me and still can give me if need be. They also woke up the inner me and I started being creative again with a lot of parts of my life. My thinking improved. My art skills improved and I learned a lot while I was there. And they're fried Chicken in their cafeteria at lunch time is the best. Thank you!

I was just discharged from there today. I came into the ER, was admitted, and then had my gallbladder removed. From the moment I arrived there, it felt like most hospitals used to feel. It felt like a place where they would do everything they could to get you feeling better. These types of hospitals seem to be getting harder to find. There were so many excellent doctors, nurses, and staff that I interacted with over the 4 days I was there. Especially nurses Gwen Kay, Rose Whitehead, and the doctors in my surgical team. Everyone was great, but I'm terrible with remembering names so please forgive me. Anyway, please keep doing what you're doing. It was about as great of an experience as one could have while still walking away missing an organ. Thank you for everything!

I’ve had a very positive experience with this clinic. The staff are compassionate, respectful, and genuinely supportive. They treat patients with dignity and without judgment while maintaining appropriate boundaries and following the regulations and standards that govern opioid treatment programs. I would also encourage people reading reviews to consider the context behind them. Some of the negative reviews appear to stem from situations where patients were requesting exceptions or accommodations that the clinic was unable to provide because they were required to follow Wisconsin DHS 75 regulations. While that may understandably be frustrating for someone in the moment, it doesn’t reflect the quality of care or dedication of the staff. Overall, I’ve found the team to be caring, professional, and committed to helping patients achieve stability and recovery. I’m grateful for the support they provide.

As far as psych unuts go, this one is *TOP* of my list!! The food is AMAZING, the people are WONDERFUL, the programs they do and the support they provide are absolutely the best I've had (and, I'm not ashamed to say I've been to *many* different inpatient units over my lifetime. 😅 Being able to go in when you realize you're out of sorts or not feeling safe is VERY important!! We don't talk enough about mental health in the world, and it's just as important as physical care!) Anyway.... 10/10... HIGHLY recommend! (And no, I'm not getting paid yo say this! 🤣)

Although I have nothing to compare this program to, I found my care to be top notch. Okay, the beds are a bit hard but the doctors, social workers and the nurses (almost forgot to mention the OT folks) were incredibly kind and effective. In my opinion, the inpatient program is as successful as the work you put into it. There is no magic cure; just need to pull yourself up by the britches and dive in. Oh- the food is quite good as well! I would highly recommend this inpatient psychiatric programming!

This was not my first treatment, but it was definitely the best! WisHope offered me a different type of treatment using DBT that taught me skills to use in everyday life and on my sober journey. The staff members were compassionate, empathetic and also knowledgeable. Most are in recovery themselves which made their experiences more valuable to the program that helped nurture clients’ recovery process. The one on one therapy was like none I ever had, getting to the root of some of the contributors to my substance abuse. The recovery community is amazing here! Some of the classes were great! The art therapy was amazing. Some of the staff was great. Juliana deserves a raise!! That girl handled some very difficult people over the weekend. Some of the aids were so kind and fun and helpful. Definitely some not so nice or invested staff. They did great with my food allergies. Overall was a helpful stay for mental health but a few employees that may need to be let go.

I am so incredibly grateful for my Wellbrook experience. If you are tired of going it alone but are terrified to make the call like I was, read on. I did detox + 30 day residential and I am now 55 days sober thanks to their incredible staff and excellent program. When I made the call, I was met with an incredible admissions person (Tara) who stayed in contact with me through the whole process, whom I could text or call with questions, and was so friendly and supportive. When I arrived I was met with kind people who made the intake process painless, and took good care to make sure I was comfortable. I was grateful to have my own room and bathroom through detox, and could take my time adjusting before I had to interact with too many people. The facility itself is well taken care of, comfortable and clean; the staff is so warm, caring, and genuinely happy to be there; the health/mental health providers are skilled, knowledgeable, non-shaming, and also truly care & get it; the chef & food is amazing (Rich more than accommodated for my Celiac, he spoiled me!); and nearly everyone in the program was grateful to be there and wanted to do the work of healing. And, we had fun while doing it! I loved that there was also art & music therapy, and yoga as part of the program, and outside community groups that came in the evenings that we could choose to attend (AA, CA, HA, Recovery Dharma, etc.) I loved our weekly trips to the YMCA & Target, our nature walks, and our weekend outings (I was there for bowling, mini golf, the cinema, and the Milwaukee Domes). I spent plenty of nights with other residents in one of the 3 lounges, connecting, watching TV or movies, playing games, finding hobbies (some of us got into things like diamond art and origami while others got into Lego sets), and eating plenty of snacks (there is a whole ice cream freezer!) And I still had the ability to do solitary things like read or write, or take a nap if I needed. I felt like I had just the right amount of agency and autonomy while also having the right amount of supportive structure. It was such a good experience that it was honestly scary to leave (and hard to say goodbye!) but I left with so many new tools, new connections, and a recovery plan, that I knew I could do it. I'm so grateful that there is an amazing alumni program (thanks to Sonya!) and am definitely staying connected. The sobriety journey requires diligence, and you will only get what you are willing to put into the program, but thanks to Wellbrook, I'm motivated and excited about my life again, and am so happy to be sober and awake for it. There were so many reasons I had not to get help, but had I known what I had to gain, I wouldn't have hesitated for a minute. If you're on the fence, you are worthy of help. Make the call. Save the only life you are able to save - your own.

The staff at Wellbrook were incredibly friendly, courteous, and helpful. The facilities were clean and comfortable and the counselors were readily available and fantastic to work with. My experience here was overwhelmingly positive and I'm happy that I chose Wellbrook to help me along in my journey!

Dr. Sheedy is seriously one of those doctors I wish there were more of. He is so down to earth, so easy to talk to, and just one of those people who makes you feel comfortable the second you walk in. My daughter is almost 13 and absolutely adores him, and my son is 8 and loves him too.And honestly it is crazy to me that we have been with him for EIGHT YEARS now. He literally came into our lives when my son was born. Hendrix was considered high risk because of the Rh factor issue and there was concern he could possibly need a blood transfusion. Our pediatrician at the time took a last-minute vacation, and Dr. Sheedy was the doctor who came to Waukesha Memorial Hospital and took care of him.That was pretty much it for me. We left our old pediatrician after that and have been with Dr. Sheedy ever since.He has watched my son grow from a tiny high-risk newborn into this wild 8-year-old boy, and he has watched my daughter grow into almost a teenager. He knows my kids, he talks TO them and not just over them, and he makes them feel safe. As a mom, that means everything to me. He is family friendly, honest, kind, funny, and just real. He never makes you feel dumb for asking questions and never makes you feel rushed. I truly trust him with my kids, and after 8 years I can say that with my whole heart. I really wish they made more doctors like Dr. Sheedy. We are so lucky he walked into our lives when he did!

Came in with alot of pain, but was greeted by many friendly faces. Good bed-side manner by all employees. Kept me informed frequently on my progress, and kept comfortable as best that they could. I left with the medications I needed and full instructions what to do when I get home. Follow up appt was scheduled the next day. Great care here if you need help when you to see a doctor.

I cannot say enough good things about my experience at the Mayo Clinic. From the moment I arrived, the staff was incredibly friendly and fast, making the entire process seamless. Pro Health Urgent Care allowed me to make an appointment. I got there early, they checked me in and I was finished with my appointment before the scheduled time. The registration staff were friendly and empathetic about my condition. The technician and doctor were friendly and efficient. I was given two prescriptions and the treatment is going well.

Connections Counseling is by far the best place I have ever been to for therapy and treatment. My therapist is insightful, inspiring, relatable and very knowledgeable. She encourages me to look within myself for strength and wisdom while she is there to help me. I now have 1.5 years of sobriety under my belt and have confidence in the future The groups are a place of safety and comfort. The staff aswell as the peers are relatable, inspiring and encouraging. Kim is the most uplifting person you will ever come across in recovery. Smart move to have her be the first person you deal with at Connections. My life will never be the same (thank goodness) since I have come to Connections I will continue on my road to recovery with the support of Connections for as long as they will have me.
