The uniform’s folded, the boots put away, but service still echoes through each passing day. The mission has shifted, the cadence has changed, yet healing takes courage when life feels rearranged. Inside these long hallways, the next watch begins, with nurses and doctors and warm, patient grins. They listen, they measure, they mend what they can, then help an old soldier stand steady again. There are scans for the body and words for the mind, new roads toward relief when the old roads unwind. From medicine, movement, and mental-health care, the load becomes lighter when someone is there. The forms can be many, the hallways can wind, and waiting can wear on an already tired mind. But beyond all the numbers, appointments, and charts, are people still serving with capable hearts. William Middleton served both the soldier and science, with duty through war and a healer’s reliance. A doctor, a colonel, a teacher of care, his name still stands watch over veterans there. Since nineteen fifty-one, through each season and year, these doors have stood open for those who served here. Not promising miracles, not erasing the past, but helping us carry, recover, and last. So here’s to the workers who answer the call, from clinics and kitchens to each hospital hall. To the hands that bring comfort, the ears that still hear, and the veterans who enter despite doubt and fear. For asking for help is not waving defeat, it is one more hard mission on battle-worn feet. A brave forward movement, a difficult start, requiring the strength of a soldier’s own heart. At Middleton Memorial, the colors still fly, for those who came home but still wonder sometimes why. The war may be distant, yet service stays true, and the watch now belongs to the healers and you. I was just discharged from there today. I came into the ER, was admitted, and then had my gallbladder removed. From the moment I arrived there, it felt like most hospitals used to feel. It felt like a place where they would do everything they could to get you feeling better. These types of hospitals seem to be getting harder to find. There were so many excellent doctors, nurses, and staff that I interacted with over the 4 days I was there. Especially nurses Gwen Kay, Rose Whitehead, and the doctors in my surgical team. Everyone was great, but I'm terrible with remembering names so please forgive me. Anyway, please keep doing what you're doing. It was about as great of an experience as one could have while still walking away missing an organ. Thank you for everything!

As far as psych unuts go, this one is *TOP* of my list!! The food is AMAZING, the people are WONDERFUL, the programs they do and the support they provide are absolutely the best I've had (and, I'm not ashamed to say I've been to *many* different inpatient units over my lifetime. 😅 Being able to go in when you realize you're out of sorts or not feeling safe is VERY important!! We don't talk enough about mental health in the world, and it's just as important as physical care!) Anyway.... 10/10... HIGHLY recommend! (And no, I'm not getting paid yo say this! 🤣)

Although I have nothing to compare this program to, I found my care to be top notch. Okay, the beds are a bit hard but the doctors, social workers and the nurses (almost forgot to mention the OT folks) were incredibly kind and effective. In my opinion, the inpatient program is as successful as the work you put into it. There is no magic cure; just need to pull yourself up by the britches and dive in. Oh- the food is quite good as well! I would highly recommend this inpatient psychiatric programming!

Incredible staff! I have never waited for more than 10 minutes for any appointment and the doctors are so thorough and friendly. They don't make you feel rushed at all. They CARE! Connections Counseling is by far the best place I have ever been to for therapy and treatment. My therapist is insightful, inspiring, relatable and very knowledgeable. She encourages me to look within myself for strength and wisdom while she is there to help me. I now have 1.5 years of sobriety under my belt and have confidence in the future The groups are a place of safety and comfort. The staff aswell as the peers are relatable, inspiring and encouraging. Kim is the most uplifting person you will ever come across in recovery. Smart move to have her be the first person you deal with at Connections. Asap is such an awesome clinic. The best one I've been to, tbh. I don't go to this Madison one specifically, I go to the one in Milwaukee co/West Allis. But I wanted to review Madison because I know that is where Dr. Harkin usually practiced, and he'd be in Milwaukee once a week, a while ago. He is/was one of the best doctors ever. I miss him dearly. A couple years ago during an appointment with him, he wrote me a note to place somewhere I could see it often that says; "I am valuable", and I put it in my lock box for my take homes, and it's been there ever since. I see it everyday. It is the little things in life. Definitely bummed he retired, hope he is doing well. And Asap clinic is most definitely the one to go to, if you are looking for a clinic. They actually care and don't make you feel like just another number in their system.

During my very short time with them(relocated states) I have had nothing but the best people and care, especially my girl Trish(hopefully I spelled your name right.) I am Mexican American and I didn't have not one issue regarding race issues as they are a little diverse in their staffing as well. My only complaint during the short time was, no one tried to help me with housing... One of the main reasons I had to leave. Other than that 5/5 from food pantry, pharmacy, all great! Kevin is a pretty good one as well. Really they all are in the Madison location. Highly recommend!!

I love this organization, the location I visit has a chapel for anyone, it's a beautiful little room to pray or just meditate. They have a food pantry and free community meals are served seven days a week. It's a good place for those in need of nutrition, money help in dire situations, and those people staffing the offices are understanding persons. This Clinic has been very helpful ever since I started a few years ago. And recently since just over a year ago I have a new counselor named Ryan. (It may be spelled Rian) I'll have to say is that this place is definitely an awesome and safe place to go for any kind of treatment for opioid addiction. And my counselor that I have had Ryan has gone above and beyond! The other day we had a Telehealth meeting and we were speaking about some things that were concerning me. He went out of his way, even in his off hours just to make sure my questions I was asking were answered! He's a very excellent counselor and he really does help his patience! I have experienced other counselors in the past at the same location and none of them meet up to the expertise and helpfulness that my current counselor Ryan does for me. Also before I transfer to this Clinic things were done on a whim.. psychological Addiction Services is very personable and they listen to what your needs are and they will help you in any way shape or form that they are able to!

I hear you seen jails better then this or been to better places blah blah blah well the outpatient teacher got me in for free three times and had saved my life they feed you great and let you smoke and also the nurses get me on meds I needed before I left for heroin then also got me in to a free 14 days and approved 14 more days to a impatient free of. Ost never paid a dime also gave me a great report to probation and communicated to probation good enough to keepe from getting sent back to prison. Gave me such good advice to repair me and my father's relationship and has helped me to become the man I am now to hear from my father I love you twice in one conversation over the the phone witch I never heard him ever say In life and also I still have a great relationship with my family if you aint made it past the first hallway it's cause you didn't wanna be sober. Put ur comments somewhere else that don't affect other people Interested in getting clean cause your negative might just keep others from getting the help they want no two recovery's are the same but hands down without them I wouldnt be alive today and they care it might not be your silver spoon place but also they always try to help even if they can't sometimes you gotta understand places wont always look like Malibu on tv and promise the world they do witb what they got and they do very well every staff was always fare and friendly

I stayed at Hope Haven a few months ago. It's a smaller home like environment. The treatment schedule is pretty relaxed, you'll have some downtime especially on weekends. Most staff were great, some not too much but that's how it is everywhere. You get to go to the YMCA twice a week and also have fun fridays like bowling. You are also able to attend outside meetings. The food is great, the coach there cares about people and makes tons of extras. They also have art therapy and yoga twice a week. Overall it was a good experience. The downsides were having to walk a long ways to smoke, and not getting very many times to do so. Also it's nice in some ways that it's co ed, but some guys there definitely were more interested in chasing girls than recovery, which can hurt the dynamic. The chores aren't really distributed evenly, and some of the overnight crew also seemed more interested in the females there than doing their job well.

Lea McIntosh is an amazing therapist! I've been seeing her regularly for over 2 years now and I'm always happy with our sessions. She is kind, listens well, easy to talk to and has helpful advice and resources. 5 stars for Lea! ★★★★★ I've seen Dan Goodnature once (before meeting Lea) but he gave bad advice for my OCD. I asked him if the advice he provided might make the problem worse and offered my reasoning why and then he agreed and told me not to follow that advice. He was very nice though so I'd give him 3 stars. ★★★ I would give Ronald May negative stars if possible. He was rude, arrogant, argumentative, unprofessional and unhelpful. He ended my couple's therapy session early after yelling at my boyfriend. -★
