I've seen two therapists at this location (one is no longer there; it was several years ago). Both were kind, listened well, and offered incredibly valuable insight and tools for me to address the concerns that I brought to them. About to start again with Shanleigh, who is absolutely wonderful to work with.

Incredible staff! I have never waited for more than 10 minutes for any appointment and the doctors are so thorough and friendly. They don't make you feel rushed at all. They CARE! I spent most of my adult life using the private sector for insurance and medical care and I don't miss it at all. My care is so much better with the VA! Thank you for alll you do for us!

As far as psych unuts go, this one is *TOP* of my list!! The food is AMAZING, the people are WONDERFUL, the programs they do and the support they provide are absolutely the best I've had (and, I'm not ashamed to say I've been to *many* different inpatient units over my lifetime. 😅 Being able to go in when you realize you're out of sorts or not feeling safe is VERY important!! We don't talk enough about mental health in the world, and it's just as important as physical care!) Anyway.... 10/10... HIGHLY recommend! (And no, I'm not getting paid yo say this! 🤣)

Although I have nothing to compare this program to, I found my care to be top notch. Okay, the beds are a bit hard but the doctors, social workers and the nurses (almost forgot to mention the OT folks) were incredibly kind and effective. In my opinion, the inpatient program is as successful as the work you put into it. There is no magic cure; just need to pull yourself up by the britches and dive in. Oh- the food is quite good as well! I would highly recommend this inpatient psychiatric programming!

Connections Counseling is by far the best place I have ever been to for therapy and treatment. My therapist is insightful, inspiring, relatable and very knowledgeable. She encourages me to look within myself for strength and wisdom while she is there to help me. I now have 1.5 years of sobriety under my belt and have confidence in the future The groups are a place of safety and comfort. The staff aswell as the peers are relatable, inspiring and encouraging. Kim is the most uplifting person you will ever come across in recovery. Smart move to have her be the first person you deal with at Connections. My life will never be the same (thank goodness) since I have come to Connections I will continue on my road to recovery with the support of Connections for as long as they will have me.

March 25 I will have been clean for 2 years. I have been to many clinics and never have come this far! If I have a problem I get dealt with usually that day and with addiction being fast and efficient can be life or death. I think Dr. Harkin has tried hard to make his clinic a better the typical methadone clinics and I think he’s done amazing job! Not one of the other clinics in Madison can you walk into and say I’m struggling can I please talk to the doctor, not one of them will you be able to do that but at ASAP you can and that’s enough for me that right there is what it should be! When we walk in there in the morning sometimes all we need is someone to say hi , how are u doing with a smile on their face and that’s enough to change that day!! I’m so grateful for my second chance at life….well let’s keep it real more like 100th chance at life!! Lol but I think I got it this time and that’s thanks to dr. Harkin and he’s amazing staff!!

Dr Harkin, is great he is truly compassionate for his patient's. I have only been to one other clinic and they just treat you like a number, they treat you with respect at ASAP and they don't judge. During my very short time with them(relocated states) I have had nothing but the best people and care, especially my girl Trish(hopefully I spelled your name right.) I am Mexican American and I didn't have not one issue regarding race issues as they are a little diverse in their staffing as well. My only complaint during the short time was, no one tried to help me with housing... One of the main reasons I had to leave. Other than that 5/5 from food pantry, pharmacy, all great! Our son has attended KinderCare in Monona for about 9 months now and it has been a true blessing. His main teacher, Ms. Jamie, is incredible and worthy of the awards she's received but the rest of the staff that works with our son have also been great. The director, Ayron, knows our son well and easily rattles off anecdotes about his day whenever we see her. Some telling signs about the quality of care he receives at KinderCare is that our son is always excited to be there when we drop him off, he loves his teachers, is in a great mood when we pick him up, and is learning and progressing perfectly. We were surprised to get a full, detailed report from Ms. Jamie about our son's progression against key milestones and what to look for in the near future. When we had questions about how to introduce solid foods for him, she sent pictures every day of their meals along with instructions for how they prepare the food so we could simulate it at home. We always love the artwork he makes that they send home and the pictures they send each day through the app as it helps us feel connected to our little guy - they do a great job of capturing his spirit in them. We want to express our gratitude to the staff at KinderCare for everything they've done for our son.

I hear you seen jails better then this or been to better places blah blah blah well the outpatient teacher got me in for free three times and had saved my life they feed you great and let you smoke and also the nurses get me on meds I needed before I left for heroin then also got me in to a free 14 days and approved 14 more days to a impatient free of. Ost never paid a dime also gave me a great report to probation and communicated to probation good enough to keepe from getting sent back to prison. Gave me such good advice to repair me and my father's relationship and has helped me to become the man I am now to hear from my father I love you twice in one conversation over the the phone witch I never heard him ever say In life and also I still have a great relationship with my family if you aint made it past the first hallway it's cause you didn't wanna be sober. Put ur comments somewhere else that don't affect other people Interested in getting clean cause your negative might just keep others from getting the help they want no two recovery's are the same but hands down without them I wouldnt be alive today and they care it might not be your silver spoon place but also they always try to help even if they can't sometimes you gotta understand places wont always look like Malibu on tv and promise the world they do witb what they got and they do very well every staff was always fare and friendly

I stayed at Hope Haven a few months ago. It's a smaller home like environment. The treatment schedule is pretty relaxed, you'll have some downtime especially on weekends. Most staff were great, some not too much but that's how it is everywhere. You get to go to the YMCA twice a week and also have fun fridays like bowling. You are also able to attend outside meetings. The food is great, the coach there cares about people and makes tons of extras. They also have art therapy and yoga twice a week. Overall it was a good experience. The downsides were having to walk a long ways to smoke, and not getting very many times to do so. Also it's nice in some ways that it's co ed, but some guys there definitely were more interested in chasing girls than recovery, which can hurt the dynamic. The chores aren't really distributed evenly, and some of the overnight crew also seemed more interested in the females there than doing their job well.

I had many procedures at UW Madison and each one went smoothly as always. Check-in was easy, I got called in a better than expected time. The staff in the Transplant and Ambulatory/Intestine Clinic were fabulous, kind they knew their jobs and made me feel comfortable. They knew my long medical history and made sure I was in the best of shape for the surgeries. The PreOp Nurses, MRI, Anesthesia, Surgeons, OR Nurses, Ultrasound tech team were great. I got in, went to the after surgery and then home. For my physician appointments they made sure I saw them all on one so there is no going back and the Video call-ins are such a traveling time saver. I’m always confident that The UW Madison Transplant Team and other Clinics do their best to make my experience a safe healthy one. Madison Detox made me feel safe right away — like I could finally exhale. The team was chill but on point, always checking in without being pushy. They kept things calm, clean, and focused so I could actually get through detox without feeling like I was in some cold facility.Every person there treated me with respect, not like I was broken. It felt personal — they remembered my name, my story, and made sure I had what I needed every step. If you need a place that’s steady and real, Madison Detox is it. Madison Detox is where you go when you’re done with the chaos and ready to hit the brakes for real. They’re there every step, helping you shake off the junk and get your head clear. The whole vibe’s chill but serious — like they mean business but still keep it human. You won’t feel like a number or some project. Madison Detox helps you take that first real step back to yourself, with no judgment and all the support you need to keep moving forward.

Lea McIntosh is an amazing therapist! I've been seeing her regularly for over 2 years now and I'm always happy with our sessions. She is kind, listens well, easy to talk to and has helpful advice and resources. 5 stars for Lea! ★★★★★ I've seen Dan Goodnature once (before meeting Lea) but he gave bad advice for my OCD. I asked him if the advice he provided might make the problem worse and offered my reasoning why and then he agreed and told me not to follow that advice. He was very nice though so I'd give him 3 stars. ★★★ I would give Ronald May negative stars if possible. He was rude, arrogant, argumentative, unprofessional and unhelpful. He ended my couple's therapy session early after yelling at my boyfriend. -★

I am now 26-years-old and continue to see Vickie for my own struggles. She has helped me through the toughest battles throughout my life. I leave her office feeling as though my soul is renewed.

Yahara House in Madison, Wisconsin, isn’t a rehab or a hospital and it isn’t trying to be. It’s a community mental health clubhouse built for adults living with serious mental illness or recovering from addiction who want to find connection, purpose and a place to belong. The people here aren’t called patients or clients. They are members.
I have been a member at Yahara House for 16 years now and I would like to say from my experience that Yahara House has been an extremely positive experience. When I started there I had been on SSI for about 10 years and I was not doing well. Yahara House gave me a place to spend my time constructively by working on my cognitive and social skills. I started showing improvement right away and over time I gained the skills I needed to manage my disability and function socially. I have since completed 2 temporary jobs and I am currently enrolled in an online school for an IT support specialist certificate program.

Became a member Nov 2024 and have volunteered a few hours per week for the last 7 months. This mental health support clubhouse has shown endless kindness and acceptance of my quirky presence. I receive 100 times what I can give in the form of enthusiasm for a deranged individual making small progress in Recovery from a misguided life. This collection of wonderful people show limitless support for somewhat troubled people. Employment, Housing, and Recovery resources, as well as amazing display of support and encouragement for a disadvantaged segment of the community. Being involved with activities here has been a life changing process I am extremely

I regret that I had exited- outta there-(hopefully that was temporary- for me!)- as Of 12/13/24:these people- were more Supportive,- & did more for me, than anybody that I had known of!:with a 1990s vibe- within the staff-here, I also have noticed how Isolated that I have become- in 2025, & have really socially relapsed- since my exit- in late 2024, so hats off to them!:they re great people!- and hopefully I ll get back- there!- I also might have been one of their longest clients- there- associated with their Ingersoll-Bldg,- ever since 06-13-13;:
