I was tired and beaten down but hopeful to find the perfect fit, and boy did I find it! Firstly, it is staffed with the most knowledgeable and compassionate people an institution of this nature could provide. The staff was warm and inviting on day one; a day that a very anxious young person needed this type of reception. While I wasn’t privy to the treatment provided, not hearing one complaint says a lot! In fact, I only heard positive things and saw excitement, which to me equates to trust and commitment to treatment. I don’t know how they do it but they are very successful in what they do. They’ve helped my loved one see her full potential, love herself again, and gain the renewed confidence necessary to survive this crazy world. My 35 days in the PHP program was the greatest gift I could have ever been given. The staff at HHW truly cares about the clients and their well-being. They will bend over backwards to help them and ensure that they each receive the highest level of care and support. The extra therapeutic services that they offer, including Biosound Therapy, redlight therapy, and TMS take a more holistic approach to recovery that makes a huge difference. My therapist, Angela, was a wonderful asset and advocate. I really appreciated the ability to isolate in my room, unlike other facilities that lock the rooms during the day. That was a necessity for me as an autistic person, in order to prevent overwhelm and truly feel safe. Therapy groups could be stressful, but I wasn’t forced to attend which I really appreciate. Some of the most genuine loving experiences I've had without the influence of a substance. The genuine care of yeah i messed up and haven't been a good person to myself and i did this to myself and it's okay. First day they told me it's not gonna be easy but we'll get you through it and here I am through it. It's been a wonderful experience. And feeling. To know I'm through and it wouldn't have been possible without them. Just so you know when you come here. They care. And they don't do anything that would make this type of experience even harder. Elisabeth (social worker) went above and beyond for a family member of mine, there were many ups and downs at the facility for my family member. Elisabeth was always supportive even beyond her role, I had no problem getting ahold of her anytime. Anything she did not know herself she would find out and call back within the hour and I NEVER was rushed off the phone. I have had past experiences with most past facilities have little to no contact with me (with hippa release forms) that said Elisabeth is truly exceptional. 😎
