RU is an awesome facility with a caring team of therapists, administrators, techs, etc. Everyone truly cares about the well-being of each person that comes through the doors. They treat you like a princess. I went in there in the process of divorce down to skin and bones, and very depressed. Jesus restored me and they were there to help me get back to him! I’ll forever be grateful ! I love all the ladies I connected with there. It was not easy to make the choice but it was worth the pain I processed in my treatment. I attended this program after many failed attempts at other secular AA NA rehabs. S2L showed me who God is, His love, and who God says I am. It was through the programs staff and the many people that surround them that I got to know Jesus Christ. John 8:36 reads “So if the Son sets you free, you are truly free”.. I wasn’t just looking for sobriety, I was looking for freedom in Christ and S2L showed me that. Today I am a new creation 2 Corinthians 5:17. Anybody who is struggling with the weight of this world or knows someone who is (whatever it may be) I highly encourage this program.

This place is not your ordinary rehab facility. They go beyond your standard rehabilitation and literally "Elevate" your life to a new level you didn't think was ever possible before. I think this is a wonderful rehab, the facilities are beautiful, the food is amazing (I have never even had food this good at a restaurant), and above all they have really helped my husband. Obviously anyone that first goes to rehab isn’t happy with their situation but in just two short months he was a changed person. The work they have them do on themselves got him to finally see why drugs and alcohol are no way of life. He’s finally sober and actually enjoying it! This rehab helped him so much he actually chose to stay LONGER, and I am for once excited for what the future can bring.

My experience here throughout my last few months has completely changed my whole outlook on life. Before I got here I thought my life was going towards the end. My body was failing and mental state was terrible. Every part of the program touches on every aspect of the addicts life. Now that I have finished the program and started living daily life with all of the gains I got throughout the program, failure isn’t an option. I know I can truly be happy sober now. I finally gained back the love and support from my life partner and best friend I always knew was still there. My mom also believes in me again which is so important to me. All In Solutions Cherry Hill literally saved my life. I don’t know where I would be if not for them. First, their program is A1 in my book. I was so broken when I made that call. From the first call until I actually got to the treatment center was God send. They made me feel like a movie star. My therapist Mrs Karen Caston was absolutely the BEST!!! She knows her stuff, I was still in denial with some things that was pointed out to me. She cried with me and held my hand through the entire process I love her and so do all of her other clients. The entire team at All In are blessings from medical management to all facilitators and techs. I met a lot of amazing people at this place including other clients. My time in the PHP program at STR was truly life-changing. I came in struggling with trauma and uncertainty, and the staff created a safe, supportive space where I could begin to heal and grow.
A special thank you to my case manager Katie for helping me navigate legal issues and plan my next steps when I felt overwhelmed. I’m also deeply grateful to my therapists Matt, Ashley, and Blake, as well as Lauren, the intern, who all supported me through the hardest parts of recovery. Leigh Anne, our house lead behavioral health tech, kept communication open and made sure everyone felt heard. Monique, the nurse practitioner, was incredibly compassionate and helped me take my first steps toward accepting my need to change pronouns and pursue gender-affirming care.
I’m leaving this program stronger, more self-aware, and genuinely thankful for the care I received. 💙

There are very few people in life who truly believe in you when you’ve completely lost belief in yourself. For me, one of those people has always been Ron and the entire team at Rise in Malibu.
I’ve known Ron for a while , and through every chapter, he has remained someone who genuinely cares, shows up, and sees the person beneath the struggle. That kind of authenticity is rare. His leadership and heart are reflected throughout the entire program and staff.
Dr. Mark, Sheri, and everyone at Rise create an environment that is compassionate, professional, supportive, and deeply human. They don’t treat people like problems to fix they treat them like people worth fighting for. That distinction matters more than words can explain.
What makes Rise special is that it never felt transactional to me. It felt personal. Real care, real connection, real support, and people who continue to stay connected long after treatment ends. That says everything.
And for me personally, recovery wasn’t something that necessarily “landed” the very first time. Sometimes the spiritual experience happens when it’s truly ready to happen. What I can say today, sitting here over 16 months sober, is that Rise helped give me the tools, foundation, support, and perspective that allowed that change to finally take root in a real way. When the moment came, I knew how to move forward because of what I had learned there.
That’s something I’ll carry with me for the rest of my life!
I can honestly say I would recommend Rise in Malibu to anyone looking for genuine help, guidance, and people who truly care about recovery and human beings as a whole. Five stars isn’t enough for the impact they’ve had on my life.

Going to Rise was the best decision of my life. Allison was a godsend to me at a dark point in my life and was able to get me into Rise’s treatment program with short notice. The team there is unparalleled. I wish I could name everyone that were members of my treatment team at Rise, but a few shoutouts to Nam for driving my sad sack self to Rise, baking amazing bread, and being an amazing support from Day 1, Shari & Zach from nursing for the care, fun, pep talks, and compassion, Dr Mark for his wisdom and pragmatic approach that I really resonated with, and numerous others (the chefs are next-level good, Tessa, Luke, Saber, Destiny, Cesar, Cat, Michael, Terry, Adrian, etc).
Outside of the fantastic staff, I’ll add that the house is gorgeous, the groups are varied and enriching, there’s a good balance between free time & groups, the rooms are comfortable and spacious, and they do a great job of ensuring that you have access to outside appointments - for example, I was able to go to Passover services while at Rise without having to go through a lot of hoops/bureaucracy.
The amenities are fun and obviously appreciated, but the heart of this place is really why I would recommend it to a loved one or friend in a heartbeat.

I didn’t walk in expecting much, but this place really surprised me. Detox was handled professionally and the staff genuinely cared. Residential was structured and real—not just talk. I learned a lot and I’m leaving in a much better place.

The staff truly cares about their patients and provided care that met my needs. The whole program exceeded my expectations and I can't thank everyone enough for the impact they made on my life and mental health. Deciding to seek treatment was not an easy thing for me but I am so glad I chose Footprints to Recovery. It wasn't all just sitting around doing therapy all day and we got the chance to do yoga, art and music therapy, and also go outdoors with Adventure Recovery. Footprints was an absolutely stellar facility to go to after completing inpatient addiction treatment. The staff were all very patient and understanding during my biggest ups and downs during treatment, and I never felt any judgement even at my lowest points.
Recovery is such a serious rock to carry but the groups and providers helped me collect the tools necessary to be able to tackle this journey on my own.
The nursing team was incredibly helpful in finding me medications that are actually helping my mental health and addiction cravings. I've had more success in the three months I got to share with Footprints than the years I've worked with my primary care and therapist.
Andrew with case management is hilarious and hugely helpful with resources and managing work and life alongside treatment.
Anika is an incredible therapist and I am sad to leave her care, but know she will continue to do amazing things for other clients.

Does Cigna Healthcare Cover Addiction Treatment?
Cigna Healthcare does cover mental health and substance abuse treatment, but because the company is so large and has so many different healthcare plans, the benefits offered in specific plans differ widely and the options for treatment vary.
So, it is important that you check with the insurance company to inquire about any specific plan that you may be considering. To comply with the 2008 Mental Health Parity Act and the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare), all mental health and substance abuse treatments offered by healthcare insurers must be made available to consumers at the same level of access as other medical treatments.
The Insurance Marketplace has 4 levels of healthcare plans, and each specifies a maximum percentage of out-of-pocket expenses that can be charged to consumers. You should be aware that pre-authorization may be required to access substance abuse treatment, and the level of care that is offered will likely be subject to the recommendation of your physician.
Does Cigna Cover Suboxone & Methadone?
Medication-assisted treatment (MAT) involves the use of FDA-approved medications for either medical detox or longer term treatment of opioid or alcohol use. Detoxification is the process of allowing substances to leave your body, and medication can be helpful in managing withdrawal symptoms.
For longer term treatment, providers combine prescription medications with other therapies to treat opioid or alcohol addictions. Suboxone and methadone are two of the FDA-approved medications for MAT. These prescriptions may be covered under your Cigna plan, depending on your medical needs and the type of plan you have.
What Levels of Care are Covered by Cigna Healthcare?
Insurance companies focus on covering medically necessary care that will help you achieve long term recovery. This may include both inpatient treatment and outpatient care, along with telehealth options.
Inpatient substance abuse treatment takes place in a hospital or clinic. Residential substance abuse treatment occurs in a non-hospital facility with a more home-like setting. Both options provide around-the-clock care and monitoring by professional staff and can last from a few weeks to 60 days or more. These programs may also offer detox services.
Outpatient care has several options based on your needs. Partial Hospitalization programs (PHPs)–or day programs–allow you to attend treatment during the day and return home at night. PHP programs often run for 4-8 hours a day, three or four days a week, and take place over 30-90 days total.
An intensive outpatient program generally offers 9-20 hours of treatment per week. These are usually spread over 3 to 5 days. The minimum duration of IOP treatment programs is usually 90 days.
A typical general outpatient program includes counseling sessions that take place once or twice a week, with group counseling and educational sessions on topics of addiction and relapse prevention education. Individual sessions are often provided on an as-needed basis.
Telehealth involves virtual services that may take place through a phone call or via the internet, using either video conferencing or chat messaging.
Types of Insurance Plans Offered by Cigna Healthcare
Cigna Healthcare provides a wide variety of insurance plans, including individual and family plans in the Insurance Marketplace, Medicare Advantage plans, and employer plans.
Individual and family plans in the Insurance Marketplace can be either preferred provider plans (PPOs) or Health maintenance organization plans (HMOs).
With PPOs, you get to choose your own doctor and treatment facilities; no referral is required. But out of pocket costs are generally higher with PPO plans. HMOs allow you to enjoy lower monthly fees but have higher deductibles than PPOs. You will need to designate a primary care provider to give you referrals to specialists and your care will be provided by the HMOs network of providers.
Cigna Healthcare offers Medicare Advantage (“Medicare part C”) plans. Medicare Advantage plans provide the same services as Medicare, but often with extra benefits, such as prescription drug coverage. Medicare coverage for drug rehab most often includes either inpatient or outpatient treatment, with detox, if needed. But you must have a diagnosis of a substance use disorder (SUD) from your doctor, and the doctor’s recommendation will usually determine which level of treatment you are offered. Co pays and deductibles may be required.

Does Cigna Cover Mental Healthcare?
Yes most Cigna health insurance plans cover mental health care. Cigna health insurance mental health coverage can include therapy, psychiatric evaluations and medication. Two federal laws require health insurance providers to offer coverage for essential health benefits. These benefits include treatment for substance abuse disorders and mental health conditions. However there are exceptions to the laws and the extent of your coverage depends on your insurance plan.
Your coverage may limit the type of therapy you can receive and the duration of your treatment. Your plan may also limit coverage for out of network providers. Most people must pay a deductible before the insurance begins providing benefits and many plans include co payments and coinsurance. Cigna members also have access to virtual care or telehealth services including behavioral health therapists, psychiatrists and counselors.
You can speak with your doctor about getting access to mental health therapy or getting integrated treatment for co occurring mental health conditions alongside substance use disorders. Before receiving therapy you should verify your insurance benefits and coverage so you are not surprised by a bill. Your physician, therapist or treatment center can assist you.
Can I Travel Out of State for Treatment with Cigna?
Your Cigna plan generally provides care within the defined provider network. If the provider network includes centers outside your state or if your insurance plan allows you to receive coverage for out of network providers you may be able to go out of state for treatment. However most of the time the provider network will be local to where you live.
Even if you are able to get coverage outside the provider network keep in mind that the out of pocket costs may be significantly higher. For example the copayment may be significantly more for out of network care.
Before traveling out of state it’s important to check with your Cigna plan provider so you understand your benefits before you use them.
What Should I Do if Cigna Won’t Cover the Full Cost of Rehab?
Your insurance plan determines your coverage for treatment. Even when your plan provides coverage you still have out of pocket costs that include a deductible, copay or coinsurance. You can reduce your costs by working with an in network provider. Your insurance plan typically offers lower out of pocket costs for in network providers than out of network providers.
Fortunately there are other options to help pay for the costs associated with rehab whether you have insurance or not. For example many mental health and addiction treatment centers offer payment plans or sliding scale fees when you qualify.
You can also find grants and scholarships which are helpful because they don’t have to be repaid. Some treatment centers may offer you partial or full scholarships for treatment. Many national organizations and state run organizations also offer scholarships for addiction treatment and mental health conditions.
If you do not qualify for private insurance you may qualify for Medicaid or Medicare. These programs help people who are lower income or older get the care they need.
