About Limen Recovery + Wellness

Limen Recovery offers services that provide support and compassion to men and women seeking recovery from substance use to help them rebuild their lives. They’ve been around since 1969. Their model of treatment is all about individualized care from the start to help clients achieve lasting sobriety and build a fulfilling future. You’ll find ‘em located in Wilmington, Delaware.

Dedicated Support Every Step of the Way

At this facility, you’ll discover a community of support that truly understands. They know that each journey to recovery is different, and they work with clients to develop a personalized strategy that fits their needs and objectives.

You’ll have access to a spectrum of services, from intensive support in their residential center that has 40 beds to ongoing outpatient counseling. These programs help you build valuable coping skills, strengthen your relationships, and get to the heart of what’s driving your addictive behavior challenges.

Life Skills for Lasting Recovery

Their Sober Living Program feels more like a supportive family than just a place to stay. You’ll learn valuable life skills, explore educational opportunities, and gain the financial knowledge you need to build a strong foundation for your future. All this occurs within a 12 Step framework, where you’ll join others on a similar journey. At Limen Recovery, you become a part of its community, and they celebrate your successes and offer support during tough times.

You’ll get a whole community of people there to support you in every step of your recovery. There are experienced counselors; the onsite medical provider means your physical and mental health necessities will be taken care of. A suitable case manager follows through with support in the process undertaken.

Wilmington also supplements your care with some unofficial ways to recover. If you like greenspaces, Brandywine Creek and Cool Spring Park are close by where you can stretch your legs and unwind.

Accepted Insurance

Limen Recovery + Wellness works with several private insurance providers and also accepts private payments when possible, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

inpatient iconInpatient
Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.
outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

This place right here has changed my life. It has brought me closer to my Higher Power, instilled a level of trust, dignity, love, and respect for myself and for others. It has truly showed me how to live in a program of recovery and how to incorporate the 12 steps into my daily everyday life. This house and its members have saved my life. Without this house I don't believe that I would be alive to this day. I knew that I made the right decision by coming to this program, trying to give myself the best possible option to change and redirect my path from the moment I walked in the door. I was met with open arms and love like I had not felt in many a years. I think the best part about it was that my Mom and family members didn't have to worry anymore about the nature of my well being. Whether I was alive, dead in jail or on the streets. They give you the tools that are needed to begin to have a successful purpose driven life. The staff are more then just that they are family. That's what we are here at Limen House. FAMILY.... From ALUMNI to Residents, staff to board members and directors we all share a common bond, Love, and Respect for one another. Because we all have the same passion and goals and that is to do whatever it takes to help one another recover from this disease and for that I WILL BREATH: ETERNALLY GRATEFUL AND AVAILABLE TO MY BROTHERS AND SISTERS WHO MAY COME AND WHO MAY STAY FROM A WEEK TO A MONTH TO A YEAR; BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY JUST FOR TODAY....
