They’re a licensed treatment center with a campus | Treatments Programs Payment Options | My son just recently went to Koinonia in Rhinelander. For him, let's just say when he left he cried & was scared to leave there. This is saying a whole lot!! It was structured, a great counselor, & they kept them busy with lots of group sessions. He needed this. I suggest a Sober living housing after this, which my son refused cuz he wanted to work. The only problem I have with this Rehab is that it's only 30 days, u can't stay any longer. My son said he asked & it's 800$'s a day there after that even insurance won't cover. This just isn't right. Well, unless u are Native American & the tribe pays. But others don't have this type of money & so badly need way longer to recover. Sadly, I have my doubts for my son. He did great there but it should have been waayy longer for him. Recovery is a personal journey and it's outcome is ours to choose. Is it tough, yes. Is it sometimes emotional, if you're doing it right, yes. Did we color, sure! And role played and talked and laughed- a lot!! Never once was I made to feel less than anyone. The staff at Koin showed me how to look at myself in a new light and gave me tools to build a life and confidence I had never known before. The outside recovery groups that visit weekly are as supportive and have continued to help me on my path a year later. I'm grateful to Koin and the AA and NA groups. November 21st, 2023 the day of my birthday. When i told everyone i am not feeling well. So, as I rested in my bedroom, feeling under the weather, I was abruptly unable to speak or move. Fortunately, my brother's swift action led him to call the ambulance, which rushed me to the Green Bay ICU to battle a respiratory flu and Covid. Subsequently, I was transferred to Mount View Care Center on Level 2, where I received outstanding care and support. I don't have enough good words that I can say about my counselor (Michelle) She has gone above and beyond to help me.. Even with things that have nothing to do with the clinic.. If there's something that I need help with.. She's right there to help.. I've never had a counselor that I could depend on as much as I can depend on her (even a counselor outside of the clinic).. She's definitely number one.. I'm not saying that there aren't other good counselors, because there are a couple just not many.. The ONLY thing that I would change about the Wausau clinic is the callback situation.. I just don't think it's fair that I've been clean for over 4 years, with no dirty UAs.. No missed callbacks.. No missed counseling appointments.. N I'm still having to come back in every other take home for a callback.. I feel that after even 2 or 3 years of NO wright ups.. There should these some kind of incentive to keep doing good N you would only have a call back every other month or every 3 months.. It just makes it hard to live a normal life.. When you know you can't because you could always get that callback, N you have to be there the next day.. but other than that I LOVE WAUSAU COMPREHENSIVE TREATMENT CENTER..

This place is amazing! The 28 days out of my normal people, places and things was EXACTLY what I needed. JNC slams 40 meetings and 80 hours of self empowering information into 4 weeks. The meetings exposed me to the recovery community I needed to connect with to maintain my sobriety after I got out of the house. The 80 hours of information was some of the best help I ve ever gotten. Being able to be rigorously honest about my self in front of 8-13 strangers without judgement is a type of freedom that s hard to explain. The bond I made in the house helped me feel connected to the sober world. The intense schedule gave me practice to keep a routine even when I got out. Every morning I got to practice meditation for just 20 minutes and that made all the difference. The counselors there help so much. I got many different opinions on many of my deepest problems and you can easily tell they just want what s best for everyone who comes in! I am still in IOP now and it s unbelievably helpful since I got to go out into the world and make hard decisions. I get 9 hours a week to make sure I m making the right ones or to learn how to make better ones next time. This place is still changing my life and constantly bettering me as a person! I would recommend this place to ANYONE needing help. This place works miracles if you allow it to!
