Great for AA and NA. The cross talk is a bit much for me. They know each other well, and we are supposed to be anonymous. But the message is there, so is the fellowship. Parking isn't terrible, but it is in a heavy tourist area, so visitors are welcomed.

10/10 would recommend Arbor Circle to anybody suffering from the cycle of substance abuse. RJ Holloway and Samantha Biolo are both amazing! They are driven and passionate about what they do... something I don't see much in Allegan County. I feel like more than just a number, a statistic, a paycheck. I was homeless for 3 years and addicted to meth up until reaching out to Arbor Circle. I've been shown nothing but compassion and support. As well as accountability! This place has gone out of their way to make sure their clients get what they need... making phone calls for me (I am Deaf), rides, hygiene items. I had certain people inaccurately communicate information on my behalf. The people inaccurately communicated information when I was a minor. The information was documented as information I communicated. I have previously experienced side effects from the medication. The side effects from the medication are not documented as side effects. I have also experienced side effects from over the counter medication. There is video surveillance footage of me communicating the side effects I experienced. The video surveillance footage is supposed to prove the reactions to the medication were not side effects. I do not exhibit certain mental health concerns without taking medication that causes a reaction. I informed the company about several things that were occurring. I was expected to give the same information I previously communicated. I chose to check if they documented the information I gave. I pretended like I did not know the answers to the questions they were asking me. The psychiatry appointment was a brief appointment. I have received several inaccurate diagnoses throughout the years. The documentation is inconsistent and inaccurate documentation. The documentation they accumulated throughout the years is unreliable. The documentation from four different locations contains several differences. The psychiatrist did prescribe me a medication. I experienced multiple side effects from the medication I was given.

This place changed my life. It was an unbelievable experience to say the least. The staff in every department were great, from the cooks, to nursing, to RA's (big props to Ms. April!) to housekeeping to the therapists (I owe alot to my man Emmett!). They not only helped guide me to a new way of thinking and aspect but to unload alot of weight i carried for years. Its Day 101 and i feel like a better man each day. Not to mention the connections! i'm not only close to the guys i roomed with in my cabin, but am apart of a group chat of about 20 people from my stay and we all check in still and hold our own weekly meetings.
I would 100% suggest this to anyone who came to me looking for help. Thank you Skywood for giving me the tools i needed to fight this everyday battle.
I hope to one day come back as an alumni and share my experience and sober journey.

Skywood was the best thing I could do for my sobriety! It was here where I got the tools to rebuild the house that I had burned to the ground… When I left I had rebuilt the frame for my life. Ive been going to the clinic for over 5 years now. They saved my life. They are great people who seem to genuinely care about you. Even if you mess up they help you get back on track. The other area clinics do not compare to WMCTC. It's nice and clean like a Dr's office. They do nice things for holidays and always do what's in the patients best interest!

I love this place all the staff are all wonderful! I was a user for 10 years! I got on methadone and I didn't think everyday the old rat race morning blues and how I'm going to get more ! 1 day, gave me a dose to take my cravings away! I go everyday and clean for 2 years! Love the doctors very nice and no judgment just caring and want you to get enough methadone so you stay away from the other drugs! They saved my life! Love this place ❤️

I want to take a moment to express my gratitude to this rehab center and its staff. No, it’s not a luxury retreat or a spa-like setting—but neither is prison, or worse, the morgue. This place is about recovery, not comfort, and I believe they are doing exactly what they’re meant to do: helping people get their lives back.
The staff was kind, dedicated, and truly cared. My son's father recently completed treatment here, and while he shared that it was incredibly tough—physically, emotionally, and mentally—he also said it was nothing compared to the pain of being out on the streets, lost in his addiction. Recovery isn’t supposed to be easy. If it were, addiction wouldn’t be so hard to beat.
I’ve seen some reviews criticizing the center for not giving constant updates to family members. I get it—when someone we love is in pain, we want answers, we want involvement, we want to help. But part of the healing process means letting go of that need to control. We didn't have control when our loved ones were in active addiction, and recovery is no different. The program is designed to build independence, accountability, and internal strength. Constant calls, questions, and attempts to interfere, even with good intentions, can undermine that.
Trust the process. Let the professionals do their job. It’s not always comfortable—but neither is addiction. Discomfort is part of growth, and growth is what this place is all about.
If you're looking for somewhere that offers real recovery—not coddling, but healing—this is it. Let them work, and give your loved one the space to fight for their own life.

Sacred Heart started me on my recovery journey giving me the tools I needed to get sober and stay sober. I hit my 90 days sober in about 2 weeks, and I couldn’t be more happy or proud. I’m so, so, so grateful for what Sacred Heart did for me. Shout out to staff Leslie, Trish, Jessica, Tom, Johnny, Margaret, Joe and Tom#2, Elizabeth, nurses Jane and Jim.. the therapists are amazing (all of them except Maria, she’s awful) the peer recovery coaches are amazing, love the nursing staff, y’all took good care of us. You get out what you put in. I’ve done therapy for many years and this facility is great. I’ve only seen my one provider, but I would believe that every other provider also offers exceptional care. I went here for 9 years and, they were very good to e! A lot of times I had to come in daily. The others, I got up to 4 take-homes per week! So I came for 2 days and, brought my home! Low and behold, something always happened. It could have been a mental episode, or I would get sick. When that happened (hospitalization), I would have to start all over
They treated me with respect, and didn’t charge mea penny! If it wasn’t so darn far away, I would have gone. They clothed and fed the homeless.
I was proud to have helped with that! I would love to make them about you two to ten lunches daily!

I’ve been going to Pine Rest now for over ten years. I used to get medication from my doctor until I switched doctors and my new doctor told me “I’m not a psychiatrist and I’d like you to see someone who knows all about mental health.” So she referred me to Pine Rest. I love that I can see both my psychiatrist and my therapist all in one location so they can communicate with each other to do what’s best for me! I’ve never had a single issue there except with one person and I handled that by switching to someone else. The receptionists are all super friendly and helpful. The medical assistants and nurses are very kind. I recommend this place every time I know someone needs to be seen. And it’s always clean and an inviting atmosphere. Thank you all!

I have never met more kind, amazing, warm-hearted welcoming staff and peers in my entire life. IT works if YOU make it work. 90% of the staff is nothing short of incredibly amazing. There’s a couple that could work on their “bedside manner” and empathy; but when it was brought to someone’s attention they had issues with that because they just learned self-advocacy, an open “adult-dialogue” was welcomed and encouraged. I had my first appointment at the VA Dental Clinic in Wyoming, MI on July 10th, and I have to say—it was AMAZING!
I've seen many dentists over the last few years, trying to find one I could trust—someone who wouldn’t try to upsell or gouge me financially every time I walked through the door. Unfortunately, that’s been my experience far too often with private dental offices. So I was very anxious heading into this VA visit, not knowing what to expect.
But from the moment I walked in, I felt heard, seen, and genuinely cared for.
Dr. Lauren Johnson and the dental assistant who took my X-rays (sorry, I didn't catch your name!) were absolutely incredible. Not only were they professional and kind, but they actually listened to me and showed concern beyond just my teeth.
I’ve struggled with high blood pressure and elevated BPMs for a while now, and while my regular doctor chalked it up to “white coat syndrome,” I knew something more might be going on. The dental team took my blood pressure and immediately recognized that something wasn't right. A passing staff member even overheard and flagged it to Dr. Johnson before I had even met her.
Dr. Johnson came in, did a thorough check-up on my teeth, gave clear and helpful explanations of the work I needed, and even gave me a referral for an excellent endodontist—without any pressure to go there. She also personally followed up on my high blood pressure. She rechecked it, noted the continued concern, and let me know she’d be notifying my VA medical provider to get the ball rolling on a deeper evaluation.
I can't remember a time—ever—when a medical or dental office showed this kind of genuine care and attention to me as a whole person, not just a patient on a schedule. The compassion, professionalism, and thoroughness from the entire team absolutely blew me away!
Yes, I drive over 40 miles to get here—and I’ll gladly do it every time. I’m 100% committed to getting all my dental care done through the Wyoming VA Dental Clinic from now on.

I completed 8 days at their outpatient program back in March. The psychiatrist, Doctor McFarren, was absolutely amazing and I wish I could bring her into the outside world with me. She listened to how I was feeling and didn’t resort to putting me on some hard core addictive pill right away.
The program was nice as well, they had different classes you could choose from so if something didn’t apply to you, you didn’t have to attend. They also had activity classes which were really nice. Group therapy was great and it was nice to be with other people who understood what you were going through. Micah (my group leader), was absolutely amazing. I’m so thankful for them and how comfortable they made group.
The only complaint I have which I put on my outtake form was that the group leader Rachel, really should not be leading classes. She might do better with 1-1 or something like that but every class I had that she led, she was not interactive and acted like it was an inconvenience to be there. I even tried to walk out of one of the classes once I realized she was the instructor. One day when Micah was out, Rachel filled our class and we had multiple new people in group and multiple of them said that they were not coming back the next day. A couple girls and I talked to them and explained Rachel was not our normal counselor and Micah was great so they should come back the next day. Thankfully they did, but when I mentioned how much I was struggling with Rachel, over half of my group agreed and said they didn’t not want to take any of her classes and that they wished they knew who the instructor was before we signed up. Maybe for the future- adding the instructors names to the list would be helpful so we can choose accordingly :)
Derrick at the front desk was absolutely amazing as well!! And so is Ethan!! So thankful for most of the team there that made a difficult time in my life, seem not so difficult. I made life time friends from this program and I will forever be thankful for that.

I voluntarily admitted myself to the Oak Unit and spent 5 days there. This was my first time in inpatient care, and I’m thankful they provided me with a diagnosis I have been undiagnosed with my entire life. The nurses were great for the most part, and I enjoyed the groups with the AT’s. Sometimes, I wish I never left!

Good place to get help but beware of the groups they force you to talk about issues and then the groups are supposed to be confidential no they are not.my medication doctor sent a referral over about individual therapy which was for a female but instead set me up with a male.my medication doctor stopped communicating and listening to me and chose to listen and communicate with my behavior staff who I see once a week.i like Dr. Soleai but I am the patient not the behavior staff.

I'm pleased to say that there has been many good changes at Oaklawn. I've been going here off and on in the 40+ years since I was in high school (back when it was known as Madison Center), and 99% of the psychiatrists and counselors have always been very good. Though they are not immune from their own confirmation bias. Unfortunately, even though I like most of them, frontline staff has been in the past unsympathetic and cruel.
When you're mentally ill, specifically having Major Depressive Disorder, doing anything at all can seem like an impossible task. Just getting out of bed can be terrifying and seem to have no point. And after you had to fight yourself and the world to get there, being required to fight for yourself and the respect everyone deserves, in a place where they're supposed to be there to help people with mental illnesses, is really not just inappropriate but unforgivable. Fortunately, management is approachable, and will listen. At least they have to me, and have thanked me for bringing certain issues to their attention. Even writing me a letter a week or so after we spoke.
I don't work there, and I only know the things that I've seen and experienced firsthand, but it seems like a much friendlier place to work, less sterile. Which I'm sure positively affects the frontline staffs attitudes. And though frontline staff can seem clickish, and move to defend themselves as a group when one is criticized by a patient, say by gaslighting that patient, management is aware that that is inappropriate.
In the 5 years since my previous review, I only recall one single negative experience.

A decent place for low cost psychiatric care. But the front desk staff in the Physicians floor can be extraordinary rude and unsympathetic. Especially if you mention any displeasure with Oaklawn's rules, they seem to take it as a personal insult, and really need to get a job outside of psychiatric care, because they are not suited for it. They are also discouraging when you come to make an appointment, or pick up patient assistance medications, Etc. They often don't know what they're talking about, so don't let them discourage you from what you're trying to do and insist that they pass on messages to the people and doctors you are trying to contact.

My experience was amazing from the check in to my departure. The nurses were amazing. They were so nice and genuine. The Doctor was thorough with explanations and made sure I was taken care of. The hospital setting was calm and decorated nicely. I would highly recommend Holland Hospital.

I had knee replacement surgery at Holland Hospital and the experience could not have been more pleasurable. From the moment we walked in the hospital every staff member was welcoming and extremely helpful. Every procedure leading up to the operation as well as afterwards was explained in great detail. You could tell the staff genuinely cared about their patients! I highly recommend Holland Hospital.
