I’ve been going here since I was 14 years old, over all I’m very happy with the care I’ve received. I’m now 24 years old. I’ve been through lots of therapist and psychiatrist. I had certain people inaccurately communicate information on my behalf. The people inaccurately communicated information when I was a minor. The information was documented as information I communicated. I have previously experienced side effects from the medication. The side effects from the medication are not documented as side effects. I have also experienced side effects from over the counter medication. There is video surveillance footage of me communicating the side effects I experienced. The video surveillance footage is supposed to prove the reactions to the medication were not side effects. I do not exhibit certain mental health concerns without taking medication that causes a reaction. I informed the company about several things that were occurring. I was expected to give the same information I previously communicated. I chose to check if they documented the information I gave. I pretended like I did not know the answers to the questions they were asking me. The psychiatry appointment was a brief appointment. I have received several inaccurate diagnoses throughout the years. The documentation is inconsistent and inaccurate documentation. The documentation they accumulated throughout the years is unreliable. The documentation from four different locations contains several differences. The psychiatrist did prescribe me a medication. I experienced multiple side effects from the medication I was given. No visual hallucinations No auditory hallucinations No paranoia Not out of touch with reality No delusions The diagnosis that I received was schizophrenia. The diagnosis that the psychiatrist communicated to me was schizophrenia.

I had an overall good experience. Clean facility, nice rooms, staff good for the most part. I Had issues with stuff being stolen. Issue with a nurse being unprofessional, but it was taken care of. Bruce the client care coordinator is amazing. He took time after his shift to talk to me and help me during a difficult time.

The first i left early and didn’t get everything i needed, that’s on me. this time has been amazing. the groups are full of great information, the facilitators genuinely care and go out of their way to help, and the client care team is WONDERFUL. Bruce, Liz, Jackie, Brennan, and Robert have done a lot for me to help me better my life and situation at home. If you ever need any kind of help - mental, substance abuse, ANYTHING, this is the place to go. I would send my son here if he ever needed it.

You get out what you put in. I’ve done therapy for many years and this facility is great. I’ve only seen my one provider, but I would believe that every other provider also offers exceptional care. After completing inpatient rehabilitation, I transitioned into the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) at Parkdale Center and I can say with my whole heart that it was one of the most life-changing and soul-healing experiences I’ve ever had. Parkdale didn’t just help me continue my recovery, they helped me to continue to find myself again. They believed in me, held space for my pain, and gave me the tools and encouragement to continue to rise stronger than I ever thought possible. From the leadership to the support staff, everyone at Parkdale exudes compassion, professionalism, and a deep commitment to healing. But what makes Parkdale truly exceptional are people like Rigo and Claudia. They treated me not like a number or a case, but like family. There was zero judgment, only humility, kindness, and an unwavering belief in my potential. Rigo felt like a steady big brother, firm when needed, but always full of heart. Claudia radiates warmth and made me feel safe, seen, and cared for in a way that felt almost sacred. These two, and so many others at Parkdale (like Dr. Chris, Denise, Ty, David) restored my faith in people and reminded me that recovery is possible when you’re surrounded by those who genuinely care. Parkdale is the best at what they do because they combine clinical excellence with human connection. Their program isn’t just about sobriety, it’s about rebuilding your life with dignity, strength, and purpose. If someone I love ever needed help, Parkdale is the place I would trust. Having used their facilities for our Union members and for a family member, the counselors are caring, responsive, and communicate very well on a treatment plan and objectives & goals. Ms Tori awesome!!!!! The group meetings and accountability for each other in treatment works in a great atmosphere. I would strongly recommend this facility if a friend, co-worker, and family members are in need of help with addictions and/or mental health. It is located in chesterton nearby for visitation purposes.

⭐ 1/5 JOCELYN is the reason I will no longer be donating to YWCA North Central Indiana after approximately a YEAR of consistently donating BRAND-NEW clothing from my fashion business. I own a fashion business, and I regularly have brand-new clothing that I cannot use due to sizing, incorrect orders, overstock, etc. Instead of letting perfectly good clothing go to waste, I’ve been donating these items to YWCA North Central Indiana so women and girls who need them can benefit. These are not old, worn-out clothes—they are BRAND-NEW, quality fashion items. For about a year, I have been allowed to drop these donations off. My husband will literally carry the bags inside the building and leave them where instructed. Because I run a business, I cannot always accommodate extremely limited or specific donation drop-off times, and this has never been an issue before. Today, I spoke with JOCELYN and explained this. I told her I’ve been donating this way for approximately a year and that my husband could bring the bags directly inside. I was NOT asking anyone to stop what they were doing and sort through the clothing. All I needed was for someone to receive the bags and put them to the side until the appropriate person was available. JOCELYN told me that she thought it would be better for me to FIND SOMEWHERE ELSE TO DONATE MY CLOTHES. So that is exactly what I will do. And honestly, the unfortunate part is that JOCELYN is not the person who would have benefited from these clothes. The women and girls receiving them would have. I’m sure many of them would have appreciated having access to brand-new clothing. I completely understand having policies and limited staffing. What I do not understand is turning away someone who has consistently donated brand-new merchandise for approximately a year when I wasn’t even asking anyone to process or sort the donation immediately. After supporting this organization for a year, being told by JOCELYN to simply find somewhere else to donate was extremely disappointing. I will gladly take my future donations to an organization that actually wants them and appreciates consistent community support.

Every month for six months I was expected to go to Holland Hospital to get injections. I was usually there approximately 15 to 20 minutes. The people that were working, there were very considerate and helpful. The biggest reason for being not being able to have any more injections is the cost. Not only the cost of the medication but for the 15 minutes that I was in the hospital I was charged $750 a month healthcare is no longer affordable. And sometimes we who are by ourselves have to make a decision not to get the help we need because we can’t afford it.

I have been going to Oaklawn now for about 7 years, when I first decided to start I was at my lowest of lows, the only time in my life I felt I was going to act on my suicidal thoughts. I had never been as depressed as I was in those few months and I have delt with depression almost my entire life. I really didn’t believe I could be helped, but I tried for my children’s sake as my oldest son had already lost his father to reckless decisions. Brandy saved my life, she has continuously encouraged me and never judged me even when most would have. She has not only been one of the best phycologists I have ever met, she has also been a good friend. She has helped to guide me in the right direction and been there through every up and every down I’ve had over this past 7 years, despite my many screw ups she has never made me feel as though I was just a mess, she really saved my life, I can not stress this enough. If you do the work on yourself and actually use the program and take the advice given, this place can and will help. You also have to be patient and understand you are not the only client being worked with.

Good place to get help but beware of the groups they force you to talk about issues and then the groups are supposed to be confidential no they are not.my medication doctor sent a referral over about individual therapy which was for a female but instead set me up with a male.my medication doctor stopped communicating and listening to me and chose to listen and communicate with my behavior staff who I see once a week.i like Dr. Soleai but I am the patient not the behavior staff.
