I was at Valley Hope for 30 days in January 2023. I desperately needed rehab and because I wasn’t covered by insurance had to pay for my treatment. We enjoyed our stay! We had caring helpful staff! The privacy for each patient is takin seriously. I would highly recommend coming here because they allow husband and wife, your phone, and they provide the successful lectures to help u make it out in the real world. Their food is relatively good quality, and the portions are more than u may need. They provide medicated assistance to help you with the withdrawals. The staff are very friendly and truly put your total care at heart. Every patient is accommodating, and welcoming. This does help everyone coming in a lot! Mama cleans her butt off and leaves you feeling cared for and like your her own kid! She puts her all into her hard work and is a very kind, caring soul! Kellie will help u along the way figure out what is bothering you and get to the root of the problem you have, only if you’re ready. James does this as well. Two very good counselors who have been through their own situations and use this to help others. Ronda always puts your health above and goes above and beyond to make sure u are taking care of. Shes a wonderful nurse! Allison is very sweet and kind hearted and will do anything it takes to make u feel at peace and have that active listening skill, she is persistent and so is Mel. They both are great at what they do! The lectures are very educational and give u all the tools you may need to out into your tool box to take with you when you leave. Very pleased with the care and concern I am receiving from Dr. Thripura Thirtala. She asks me questions that make me think 🤔 which help her determine the best medications and self care practices I should be doing. She is a delight to work with. I would like to address an unfortunate situation. The text message I received to do this review came at 2:53 am on a Saturday morning. THIS IS NOT PREFERRED!! I checked myself into the Cox North treatment center about 2010. Got set up on Suboxone. Unfortunately I ended up getting fired before I could finish the treatment and had to get off it all by myself. And I was on 24 mg a day three pills. I wish I’d have been on 2 mg a day. When I tried winning it down myself I realized 2 mg a day was keeping the problems away if you know what I mean. But it does work! Your poop’s going to be pretty loose for a long time if you were on opiates but Imodium will help LOL anyways don’t give up people!

Queen of Peace gave me the tools to save myself from alcohol addiction. Overall, I found the staff to be dedicated, hardworking, and compassionate.
It’s scary admitting you need help with an addiction, especially when you realize you need inpatient treatment. I had a tough time adjusting at first (ended up with 8! roommates in 2 months) but the counselors, peer support staff, and BHTs were always understanding, and supportive. Having access to the beautiful chapel was a blessing as well.
The outpatient program is just as helpful as inpatient. It’s the perfect way to transition back to your “new” normal life.

BHG Springfield has had its ups and downs the past year and a half I’ve been there. Recently, I’ve seen a significant improvement. For a while, it was an hour-two hour wait for dosing, which was tough with a job. But it’s been much smoother recently. I’ve always enjoyed the staff throughout my entire time as a patient. The golden rule has honestly been my moral compass in life, I believe it makes a world of a difference.
I have a wonderful, empathetic counselor (all of them have been wonderful to me) and the nurses are sweet. The newer front desk lady has also been AMAZING too. There’s been a new director and she’s been nothing short of being lovely to me!. Prior to our new director, I had no idea who the director was, lol! It’s always nice for the team to know my name, despite the many patients that come for treatment. I don’t expect it, ever, but it’s just a simple act of kindness that is rare in my day to day.
I used to dread coming here (mostly for the long wait and the discussions openly held in the waiting lobby, but I’ve learned to tune it out) but I haven’t had an issue recently.
I will say I wish they took private health insurance— I pay out of pocket and it’s a dent, but that’s the price I signed up for my treatment. I have continued to live a happy and healthy life while on medicated assisted treatment. It’s allowed me to build my life while staying stable after a decade of OUD. In year one for a few months I was on a grant, which was a life saver, thanks to my counselor!! I don’t think grants are offered anymore, but I could be wrong.

First initial visit today,
Everyone’s experience is different, but the entire staff was very polite and pleasant. They took time and answered every question I had. The front desk staff was amazing. The nurse and Doctor was also amazing. Other than the long initial visit wait time, no complaints from me so far.

Great place to get sober and stay off the streets. The only issue I have with the BHG here in springfield is the over pricing for treatment. I came from a bhg in okc and it is144 cheaper than here. Someone is taking advantage of people here. And in okc you have the option to either dose the pill form or the liquid. Sooo hmmm 🤔 but I don’t think it’s from the clinic itself. I believe the state of missouri has their hand in the cookie jar!

The difference between this treatment center and the rest has to do with the exceptional people that work there. They’re non-judgmental, compassionate, they’re not critical of us when we make a bad judgment call. This is they’re statement “Triumphing over opioid addiction by integrating treatment, counseling and COMPASSIONATE PATIENT CARE THAT SAVES LIVES”. The last sentence is remarkable, true and they mean it. I’ve been addicted over 40 yrs. I’ve wasted an entire lifetime. This is the first TX center that didn’t make me feel ashamed, judged and no one working there is anything but special, caring, compassionate and kind. I’ve never got clean out here before. I’m about to pass up 3 months now. Very excited about this life changer. Thanks to all of you at Cape Girardeau Metro Treatment Center. You’re all wonderful and caring people that make my life more worthwhile each day that passes me by. I’ve got so much gratitude and I can now see the forest for the trees!! Thank again!!

I want to point out Shayna care coordinator, she goes above and beyond to help someone ! My son was a patient here for a month and a half. I think treatment team did a lot to help him ! Unfortunately he made some choices good and bad really ! He did try but probably needed more attention with his medications for his mental health issues. They all did a lot to help him. I would recommend them if you want to stay clean and learn more skills to cope !! 💯 %.

I love this place, because it helps me love myself. get to know myself. it’s really a growing spot people can really grow here( spiritually , mentally and physically) when you’re on drugs you know you stuck! now you lie to yourself and you don’t even know it. you know they help me recognize my lies in me. the way you think backwards sometimes you know; I used to think they were good and I like them in the matter is that are not good for me and they never had been. it’ s taken relationship my friends my kids . They teach me how to gain my dignity back my respect for me and others. how I can be balanced I’m learning not to drink from my lower self but my higher self as like what would your God. It’s about being a better person that I was contagious for and keep that going and growing.

Alcohol use disorder (AUD) treatment is a multi-phase process to help individuals stop drinking and address the reasons they abuse alcohol. Depending on the severity and personal needs, treatment may occur in residential rehab or in intensive or standard outpatient settings.
The first step is usually medically monitored detox to safely manage withdrawal symptoms that range from mild anxiety to severe complications like seizures or delirium tremens. Once stabilized, participants in Missouri treatment centers engage in evidence-based therapies such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, and family counseling to uncover the emotional and behavioral drivers behind their drinking.
