This has truly been one of the greatest experience of my life. I have struggled with severe depression most of my life. Even though I have had substance abuse in the past, it was not my main focus. My mental heath was my main concern. I have been to mental hospitals in the past but they only treat with medication. I was looking for something where I could get stable on the right medication and learn how to live life again. Synergy offered me exactly what I needed. They completely understood the mental state that I was in. They evaluated my moods and medication until they found what really worked for me. They encouraged me to be present in my own life. At a mental hospital, they will allow you to lay in bed and hide away. At synergy, they offer classes that help you rediscover your true self. They provide activities and help you learn how to reconnect with others. The food that they provide is amazing and very nutritional. The staff in incredibly helpful and they truly care about each individual that walks through the door. Once you are here, you belong. I am so glad that I made the choice to come to Synergy. I was at Valley Hope for 30 days in January 2023. I desperately needed rehab and because I wasn t covered by insurance had to pay for my treatment. We enjoyed our stay! We had caring helpful staff! The privacy for each patient is takin seriously. I would highly recommend coming here because they allow husband and wife, your phone, and they provide the successful lectures to help u make it out in the real world. Their food is relatively good quality, and the portions are more than u may need. They provide medicated assistance to help you with the withdrawals. The staff are very friendly and truly put your total care at heart. Every patient is accommodating, and welcoming. This does help everyone coming in a lot! Mama cleans her butt off and leaves you feeling cared for and like your her own kid! She puts her all into her hard work and is a very kind, caring soul! Kellie will help u along the way figure out what is bothering you and get to the root of the problem you have, only if you re ready. James does this as well. Two very good counselors who have been through their own situations and use this to help others. Ronda always puts your health above and goes above and beyond to make sure u are taking care of. Shes a wonderful nurse! Allison is very sweet and kind hearted and will do anything it takes to make u feel at peace and have that active listening skill, she is persistent and so is Mel. They both are great at what they do! The lectures are very educational and give u all the tools you may need to out into your tool box to take with you when you leave. I would highly recommend valley hope in booneville.

Great place. I was sick alchohol detoxing in the hospital and got transferred here. I only stayed a day for personal reasons but the staff was kind and helpful, they made sure everything was taken care of and I felt safe the entire time.

My overall experience at the VA Hospital in Poplar Bluff was wonderful. From the time we entered the facility until we left everyone we encountered was friendly, professional and eager to help. My appointment was with a Physical Therapist and even though extremely busy Jennifer was wonderful to work with, knowledgeable, and very personable. This was my first trip to this facility and I could not have received better treatment. Queen of Peace gave me the tools to save myself from alcohol addiction. Overall, I found the staff to be dedicated, hardworking, and compassionate.It s scary admitting you need help with an addiction, especially when you realize you need inpatient treatment. I had a tough time adjusting at first (ended up with 8! roommates in 2 months) but the counselors, peer support staff, and BHTs were always understanding, and supportive. Having access to the beautiful chapel was a blessing as well.The outpatient program is just as helpful as inpatient. I love this place, because it helps me love myself. get to know myself. it’s really a growing spot people can really grow here( spiritually , mentally and physically) when you’re on drugs you know you stuck! now you lie to yourself and you don’t even know it. you know they help me recognize my lies in me. the way you think backwards sometimes you know; I used to think they were good and I like them in the matter is that are not good for me and they never had been. it’ s taken relationship my friends my kids . I just finished my 30 days here and I can t say enough amazing things about this place. My counselor Sarah and also Andy played such an integral part in my recovery and even more importantly the aftercare. I’ve tried a few methadone clinics, this one is the best I’ve seen. They do have a few rules that seem rather stupid, but they have gov oversight, so ya have to deal with that kind of BS anywhere you go. They are definitely the nicest and the friendliest out of all the ones T have been to.Update… the staff that you interact with i.e. the counclers and the nurses are definitely very nice and appear to be honestly intrested in the clients wellbeing, however it took a few months…like 6 or 8 months for the office staff to get my VA insurance worked out and I had to pay cash in the meantime. That was over 2 years ago and they still have not re-embersed a single Penney however I verified with the Va the were paid twice once by me and once by the Va. Should be a law against that sort of thing. I believe it is called fraudulent billing…. If they end up owning you money don’t expect to see it soon…however if you owe them and can not pay the will start detoxing you, they did to me when I told them I get paid in 3 days … they detoxed me for those 3 days. Good luck if you have no other options.

Great place. Great counclers. Clean. They have clean bathrooms. Very friendly staff. They have the new check in mobile system so it saves your spot in line. They are fair. Some of the rules are a little silky but they don’t set those, Corporate does. So it’s not the staffs fault at this location. They probably saved my life. The doctors is very helpful and understanding. She listens. The nurse is a godsend. And the counclers are top of the line.

Absolutely hands down best ever. I filled out all paperwork on line. Super easy check in. Bam they were call us in. Super sweet educated staff eager to help us understand our many questions, Top off all 3 family members radom ages still one location. Then pharmacy in house too absolutely blessed my family with more time not driving to separate locations then to pharmacy too. And i got my first bday card ever from doctors or pharmacy and im old.I set out for a long day and omg it was all over so fast and efficient. Thank you to everyone staffed. I felt like a million bucks today.

I can t thank the team enough and especially Dr.Throop. I was in and out of rehabs for years in my younger years and even told I would die by other counselors at said rehabs. After a stent of sobriety I messed up bad and was depressed to no end. Thankfully through a random friend I found this amazing clinic. The team from the greeters to the nurses, the pharmacist, and especially the psychiatrist have put me on a sober path that has led me to one of the happiest times in my life. Even after a separation and split custody of the kids even they can see how much happier I am. I owe my life and 3.5 yrs of sobriety and counting to this amazing place and people. Special thanks to Dr. Throop for helping me keep a level head and showing me life is amazing after we begin to recover. Rarely do I ever find myself writing reviews- But this place has gone so far above and beyond in helping me get my life back on track. Without the help of their doctors, nurses and the offices s flexibility as a whole; I don t think getting clean would have happened for me.I can t finish this review without mentioning Amanda Hartsell and giving her 10 stars out of 5. She s been helpful beyond words. After having so many issues between my pharmacy, and insurance recently- She s gone above and beyond helping me get my medications and making sure I m covered. And all without making me feel like a burden for it.Thanks to ARCA I m 8 months clean from Fentanyl, and I appreciate everyone from the office who s helped me get here.

SSM Rehabilitation Hospital has to be the BEST CHOICE for PT and OT in the St. Louis area. I cannot imagine any other facility would be as thorough, caring, and determined to get me back to ‘normal’ after my surgery and hospital stay.I have to name the EXCELLENT staff by name as the TRUE heroes need to be recognized. First, the outstanding nursing staff; Winnie, Elham, Lem Lem, Krystal, and Shayla (Shay). They were very attentive and never ONCE made me feel that I was ‘bothering’ them even when I needed them at midnight or noon.The techs that went beyond the call of duty and must be named are Lyn – who was always friendly and smiling. This can make a person’s day when spending multiple days in a facility. Also, Lea and An’drea were cheerful and attentive. These employees seem to truly LOVE what they do! Thanks to all them! Thanks to SSM Rehab Hospital for hiring people who really CARE about your patients!Physical Therapy Staff I need to recognize are Megan who was my primary therapist. She was so supportive, understanding, and encouraging. She knew exactly what I needed and ‘PUSHED’ me to go further and do more than I thought I could! Jeremy and Candace stand out as techs who were there when they were needed and went beyond the call of duty to serve their patients. I will never forget their kindness. The entire staff was so supportive!Amy, my case manager, was very helpful and set up everything for my return home. She was there to keep me informed. At the time of my illness, Amy was working alone as they were short handed in the Case Management department. She was managing everyone on the floor. I’m going to guess there were almost 50 people at that time on the floor. Her management and people skills shone through at a time when it had to be stressful!

In my opinion, SSM Acute Rehab deserves the highest rating we can give. Let me provide you with a quick overview. Note, I was there over a 3-4 week period.Doctors: Each patient has a Rehab and Medical doctor who came to see and speak to me everyday of my stay. They were professional and best of all compassionate.The insurance team fought my insurance company to ensure I received the best care possible and extended my stay 3 times.The Nurses and Techs responded quickly and worked to assist me with all my needs. I was treated like royalty.Admittedly, the food was less than satisfying. However, I did not come to eat. I came to work and walk again.By far, I save my greatest praise to the OTs, PTs and their Techs. Each day I was asked about my goals for that day. You would be surprised how quickly you heal if you accomplish daily goals. This group of individuals outlined expectations and assisted me with encouragement, support, and a sense of compassion I have not witnessed in a long time. My condition was complicated from the beginning, but the team found a way to tackle the road blocks and clear a path for me to succeed! Even though I have a ways to go, I did walk out of the hospital and accomplished my goal with Everyone’s help. I cannot thank St. Mary’s Rehab enough for the support and compassion. The difference between this treatment center and the rest has to do with the exceptional people that work there. They’re non-judgmental, compassionate, they’re not critical of us when we make a bad judgment call. This is they’re statement “Triumphing over opioid addiction by integrating treatment, counseling and COMPASSIONATE PATIENT CARE THAT SAVES LIVES”. The last sentence is remarkable, true and they mean it. I’ve been addicted over 40 yrs. I’ve wasted an entire lifetime. This is the first TX center that didn’t make me feel ashamed, judged and no one working there is anything but special, caring, compassionate and kind. I’ve never got clean out here before. I’m about to pass up 3 months now. Very excited about this life changer. Thanks to all of you at Cape Girardeau Metro Treatment Center. Detox is also known as detoxification and is a critical first step in beginning recovery from a substance use disorder at treatment centers in Missouri. The process eliminates drugs or alcohol from the body while managing the often dangerous and uncomfortable symptoms of withdrawal.
Since abrupt cessation can cause severe complications, especially with substances like alcohol, benzodiazepines, or opioids, detox is conducted under medical supervision in inpatient or outpatient settings. Medical staff can administer medications to ease symptoms and seizures, stabilize vital signs, and reduce cravings. The length of detox depends on the substance used and duration of use, the presence of co-occurring disorders, and the participant’s physical condition.
Although detox addresses the physical dependence on substances, it doesn’t treat the underlying behavioral or psychological aspects of addiction. For this reason, detox is regarded as a preparatory step rather than a standalone solution.
After detox, participants in Missouri should transition into ongoing treatment, such as residential or outpatient care. They can receive counseling, behavioral therapy, and support for relapse prevention. A successful detox lays the foundation for long-term recovery by helping individuals begin the healing process in a medically safe and supportive environment.
