This place was all about helping others get to the starting point in your life to see there is life out there without drugs if you want it that bad you can have it . Even though I left there and I relapsed 4 years ago that was my choice that I made because I wasn’t ready then . Now I’m thriving ,sober ,have my kids back in my life ,and a new baby girl . This place made a big impact on my life that’s why I’m writing this review 4 years later after I left. Some of the staffs inspiring stories and words is what got me to where I am today and I’m very thankful for that. Recovery will only work if u let it and it’s hard work but yout have to put in the work to get in life you want to go . Don’t give up . This facility is wonderful. The staff is knowledgeable and kind. They also employ many in recovery that really help you to picture things on the “other side”. I felt fully supported in my recovery. The classes and guest speakers really helped to prepare me for my life after addiction. The massages and other perks didn’t hurt either.

my time at Synergy has been the most impactful and rewarding experience of my life. before walking through the doors, i could not comprehend that freedom from addiction was available for me. it is the hardest thing ever to willingly sit with, and work through everything that’s been holding us down for so long. i’m glad that Synergy is where i got to do just that. every second was worth it because of the freedom that i get to experience now. the staff is very supportive and heavily equipped to handle the things that people walk in here with. it is clear that the staff cares about the person as a whole and not just their addiction. the facility is incredible and truly feels like home. that alone makes the healing process feel slightly less heavy. truly, Synergy is the best place to begin your recovery journey. I checked myself into the Cox North treatment center about 2010. Got set up on Suboxone. Unfortunately I ended up getting fired before I could finish the treatment and had to get off it all by myself. And I was on 24 mg a day three pills. I wish I’d have been on 2 mg a day. When I tried winning it down myself I realized 2 mg a day was keeping the problems away if you know what I mean. But it does work! Your poop’s going to be pretty loose for a long time if you were on opiates but Imodium will help LOL anyways don’t give up people!

Inpatient treatment in Missouri is a comprehensive and intensive form of care designed to support you through early substance use disorder recovery in a safe and controlled environment. Missouri is called the Gateway to the West, and you can reside full-time at your own gateway to a healthier future at a treatment facility. You’ll focus solely on healing without outside distractions or triggers.
Programs typically begin with medical or social detoxification. Medical detox is monitored by trained staff to manage withdrawal symptoms safely. Once stabilized, participants engage in intensive daily schedules made up of individual therapy, group counseling, medication management, and wellness activities. Evidence-based approaches like cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, and trauma-informed care are often included to address the psychological roots of addiction.
Many inpatient centers also offer support for co-occurring mental health disorders, life skills development, and family therapy to rebuild relationships affected by substance use. The average stay ranges from 28 to 90 days, depending on the severity of the addiction and treatment progress. Inpatient care especially benefits people who’ve experienced relapse, have limited support at home, or are dealing with complex mental health or physical health needs. It provides the stability and accountability necessary to lay a strong foundation for long-term recovery.
