Choice Point offers excellent mental health services with group and individual therapeutic sessions. When I began the program, I was assigned to Jeff Gish. As I worked the program and had inevitable difficulties, Jeff went way beyond his counselor role and engaged me as a friend. That was the turning point for me that helped ensure my recovery. Everybody shoots straight here and you truly know how much they care about your mental health oh, and the medical services are equally valuable. They helped me find medications that worked for me and were always attentive when I called. I can t say enough about Jeff and Choice Point. The support staff were amazing. They were knowledgeable and always willing to help. The therapists, case mangers, etc. were thoughtful, insightful, and caring. The outings and walk in Central Park enhanced my experience and prove that participating in fun activities sober is possible. Request for the phone is supposed to be within 24 hours and the communication of the status needs to be timely and consistent. If there are meal requests (smoothies for breakfast) need to be honored. Carnegie Hill Institute is by far the greatest recovery program I ve ever had the pleasure of attending. In the 4 years I ve been enrolled at CHI I have successfully stopped using for 3 years now. My counselor at this time is not only the most helpful counselor I ve ever had in any recovery type place, but he s also been a great friend to me as somebody to confide in. The man who started this Institute Dr. Harvey Karkus unfortunately passed away recently much to my dismay. He was one of the last remaining doctors in this city who truly cared about his patients and genuinely tried to help each and everyone of them. However I like to believe that his legacy lives on in the new doctor on staff Dr. Ella Leers as she is much like him in many ways. In conclusion I absolutely believe 100% that my ability to stop using has been due to the care that Carnegie has given me. Thanks guys!

Managing health issues are always a difficult, but I have found the people and facilities at Riverview make every effort to make these moments as easy on you as possible. Valet your car at the front door, register at the front desk, take in the sweeping views of the river, and be seen by doctors, nurses, and the all the other staff members who make you feel like a real-life person they care about helping rather than a cog in the machine of their business. Dr Ciervo and team saved my life in a medical emergency a few years ago and I will never forget how compassionate they were through the entire process. I also highly recommend the Women's Center for annual screenings and follow up procedures as Dr Borofsky and her team - specifically Tiffany, Lisa, Doris and Danielle - were a dream team and provided the kind of top-notch care that all women deserve.

There's no such thing as a 5 star detox, you're not necessarily there to have fun. That being said, if you absolutely have to go to detox, I would recommend Serenity at Summit. Dr. Williams is a great Doctor, and a good man. The nurses are kind and caring, with some expectations. The counselor's do there jobs, some better than others. The tech's all get 5 stars! Really kind, caring, people who are very likeable, and do a great job. The rooms are good, you'll likely get a private room since most people transition after 7 to 10 days. The food was mostly atrocious, but I had zero appetite, so don't go by me. Overall Serenity contributed greatly to the beginning of my journey toward sobriety, so as difficult as my stay was, I'm greatful to have endured it, and I would go back again if I absolutely had to.

By far the best place around. If your serious about your recovery, this is the place. It s not just all about the medication, it s about the staff as well. My counselor, Sharece T saved my life. She goes above and beyond the call of duty and treats people as an individual, not a group, because we re all different. She really took the time to get to know me and get to the root of the problem and checks up regularly to see if everything s going well. I ve been to many places, doctors, meetings and rehabs. No one has ever understood me better, witch is very important in recovery so you can be treated accordingly. I finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. Bluecrest showed me how to see the reality of my addiction and the consequences that would follow if I didn't accept that I was powerless to my addiction. They guided me back to life and supported me. Without the experience of Bluecrest I would probably have lost everything and or ended up unlike.I can't express how much strength and hope I received from my time there. Overall out of many treatment centers. Ive liked blue crest very much. The are very structured and stress the 12 step program and programs of NA and AA. The clinicians and staff seem to really care about you and your recovery. The case management as well takes great care of issues pertaining to housing, financial, legal and much more. Most of the staff are in recovery as well so you can relate to many. I would recommend Blue crest if you are interested in recovery and want to get help.

This is a throwaway account for my own privacy. I did the PHP and IOP program at GenPsych in Livingston after I got out of the hospital. I am indebted to the staff, counselors, and fellow clients. I was at my lowest point and am able to say now that I am the healthiest I've ever been, and it's in part because of this program. One drawback I noticed is that they did have high turnover while I was there and seemed to have a lot of newer counselors who were not as experienced, but the DBT program is something that can be administered by anyone. If you're hesitating about doing this, I'd recommend it.

So I attended the intensive outpatient DBT program here for several months, and it was a challenging, emotional and also wonderful, rewarding experience. My therapist, Kayla, was incredible - very relatable and down-to-earth, compassionate and yet still held me accountable. The front desk staff and other DBT session leaders were great too - shout-out to Provi! If you've made it this far into my review and are debating whether or not to try the DBT program: DO IT. Commit, do the homework, participate in the groups, and it will be the first (big) step towards a better life.

Genpsych is an incredible care to their clients. The incredibly gifted therapist we worked with, Kayla, what a perfect match for our family member. Kayla is incredibly intuitive and was able to connect toniur family member at a critical time in their treatment. Kayla also does an exception at holding space for our family when larger conversations are needed. We are so greatful for Genpsych and incredibly thankful for the care, consideration and continued treatment Kayla gives to our loved one.

Used these services for a loved one in crisis. Chris was incredibly helpful at guiding us through the full process of the intervention, providing a consultative approach towards finding the right facility, and mediating some of the difficult questions during the actual process.Likewise, the approach allowed us to focus on my loved one, not make a difficult moment about ourselves, and gave us the right playbook to get our message across.

I give them five stars because I am diabetic and they on it like definitely on it. The only thing I don t like is back to back appointments. I do not receive Medicaid and this is out come from my pockets so financially it hurts a little bit but as for the doctors, they perfectly great great, the only thing I said is back to back appointment for the same thing with different doctors but other than that, they absolutely great

You didn't give me a chance to explain. You said I was a veteran. I gave my EBT and social security card number and date of birth certificate from poul otiz commander. My NYS ID is 181 658 857 Steve Manuel Santana date of birth certificate is 07/29/1982. I tried to explain ...........Bronx records been throw a heck of a fight with my family by my side. The Afghanistan war was very hard I want July 25 ,2024 and was turn down I don't know if I have a VA card and family or friend are tapping it. I have been going to this Bronx VA location since 1988, when it was my very 1st visit to the ER. The Dr's and nurses gave me exceptional treatment, both in the ER and as inpatient. I didn't start using this facility again until about 2019. And let me tell you that for me nothing has changed. I still receive excellent care both as inpatient and outpatient. It's has far better quality than Montefiore!!!!
